    Yes 15:36 issues which almost everyone is facing, its better to start over again and make sure to follow thoroughly! it helped me I was exporting the wrong ME Body, should have selected the original body (7:43 )

      or you can just find the V1.0 metahuman body different types uploaded by some other youtubers, as the body types never changed, unreal just decided to cut them apart wich is a bit of a dick move, but the original files are still easy to find

      I didnโ€™t bring it back to unreal, pose and anim were done in originally unreal. You may need to check part1.2.3 or watch recent tutorial which will make it simple and easier.

    At minute 15:33, in the Blender software, when I enter the FBX file into the software and perform the mentioned steps and select the Metahuman and animation data and press press Ctrl+L to link the animation to joined Metahuman, the avatar disappears.       some of my subscribers had same experience. it may cause because of gpu setting. i recommend to search 'gpu setting for unreal engine'. (also some said baking worked in different version of ue as well).

      @@lucaskarimi i've just checked UE5.1, UE5.2 and Baking sequence with ControlRig works well. I guess it may be your computer or window setting issue. (normally freezing issue is from disk space and lack of memory)

      4:44 is the result of this tutorial. follow whole tutorials(part 1,2,3) then you will be able to register your MH as avatar and poses in Marvelous Designer. it seems tricky but when you get used to it, it will be worth :-)

    Once again, an amazing tutorial! Everything went without problem until I tried to link the walking animation data to my rig. Everything works well except that the hands and fingers get completely distorted. It looks like the bones of the fingers/hands get pulled to the origin of the mesh. (Maybe those bones get downscaled ??)
    Have you run into this disformed hand problem before?

      I had a similar problem myself, but I made this tutorial to make sure it didn't happen. If you followed the tutorial 100% exactly, it shouldn't have happened.
      There are a few things you can check.
      Make sure that the origin of the metahuman you combined in Blender is exactly front and centre.(then import animation data)
      When simulating the animation in Blender, make sure you select [root.Body] then proceed. (If you select the body or head and shoe mesh and animate it, the mesh will look weird.
      if you sort this out, please leave comment then other people will be helped by you :)

      do you mean looping in level Sequence in Unreal Engine? If so, check out 05:28 (Level Sequence), then look for the Record button, and on the far right is the Loop button.

    Hello, Total Noob here. 15:58,, when I link animations, my whole Mesh disappears. I don't know what I did wrong. I tried to go back and follow the tutorial from scratch but when I get to that point, I cannot follow anymore. I can't link any animation without the mesh disappearing all together...I am using Unreal Engine 5.2.1 with the new 5.2 metahumans, not sure if there is more data than your version.

      You should *first check that only root.Body is selected.* If you have a sub-mesh inside root.Body, such as m_tal_unw_body, that is also selected, you will get an error. The only way to be sure is to unfold root.Body, make sure only root.Body is selected, and then select the imported animation root and connect it. *( watch **16:23** - **16:32** )*

      @@___quirk___ I feel like there is something I am doing wrong on my end. I expanded the root.Body as it is on 16:23. I make sure that I hit the root.Body (with orange stick figure on the left) FIRST, then I click root (with the orange stick figure on the left ---the one with the animation that I just imported) I place my cursor back on the editor and hit CTRL+L, link animation. the result is just a blank editor section. Everything goes away...when I go to Action Editor, I can see all animations that I tried to link but nothing shows up on the editor section when I am cycling through them. (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO HELPING ME BY THE WAY. This has been the BEST metahuman to marvelous designer tutorial so far)

      @@Luckymich77 I've just tested ue5.2.1 and it works just fine.
      When you import animation data from Blender and then link the animation, our metahuman is scaled down to match the bones, so you have to select the metahuman and press F to focus it to see it properly. hope it works for you.

      hello. It's simply because you used a looping animation, normally when you select the walk animation in Mixamo, the animation will repeat smoothly.
      If you play it infinitely in a LevelSequence, it may appear to lag and stutter.(probably depend on pc spec)
      To check if the animation is looping, simply increase the length of the animation by 2-3 times to see if it repeats naturally.

    I have gotten to the part where am linking the animations and the T_pose works fine but when trying to link the PoseBaseA it goes into A pose but much of the fingers/parts of hand do not come down. It seems my A pose somehow have 2 sets of hand bones (one set in A pose and another set up in Tpose). I have tried to re-export pose from UE5 but still get the same result. Any idea where I may have gone wrong?

      I had a similar experience while working on this before. I honestly don't remember what the problem was, but it was something that happened in blender.
      I think it was caused by the metahuman moving around from the centre, but I'm not sure, I just made a new file to fix it.
      However, if you follow the tutorial 100% exactly, you shouldn't run into the problem, because I've been through same problem, so I made this tutorial while double-checking that the problem doesn't happen.
      There are a few things you can check.
      1. you can check if your metahuman's origin is in the right place in blender. Something may have changed during the process of importing and combining the MetaHuman.
      2. make sure that the settings for the T-pose and the animations you want to apply match.
      My recommendation is to start everything over, as much of a hassle as it is, because it can be quite complicated to determine at what stage you went wrong (sorry, I didn't give a clean answer).
      If you do manage to solve it, it would be great if you could leave a comment on how you did it so that others can benefit.

      @@___quirk___ I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with going into edit mode on accident while having rig selected rather than pose mode to test everything was linked. I saw rig jump a bit but new to rigging so will just start over with tutorial. Thank you for sharing this workflow!

      I have the exact same problem, I followed the steps exactly over and over again, I'm still missing something and can't figure it out. It seems like the problem comes from the Animation Data .fbx file since when I import it into Blender you can clearly see there's this extra set of hand bones in a sort of "close to but not exactly" A position. Thanks for the tutorial anyways but @tehwayniac if you found a solution I'd be happy to have feedback

      when you export MH from blender, make sure you select body&head.
      or just make it easier, select body and head then press CTRL + J to join two meshes. then they'll be perfectly 1 mesh.

    new metahumans are separated by body, legs, feet and head now, this doesn't seem to work anymore ast per new metahumans

      i've just checked 5.3 metahuman and it is just same as previous version. this pipeline still works.
      [seperated body,legs, feet, head] is because metahuman is wearing clothes and we use metahuman with 'no clothes' and that will work. :)
