i read this the other day and cried because yeah, camila has always been the heart of the band and everyone ❤️ "the thing that people don’t get about djats is that it’s about people who are bad for each other and want what other people can’t give them and resent each other for it anyway. it’s about daisy going after a man she knows will hurt her because she hates herself and because she believes that if the man who loves someone like camila (who’s everything daisy believes she can’t be) can love someone like her then it’ll heal something broken. but it doesn’t. all it does is give her another reason to hate herself and camila Refuses to let her. she tells her that she’s worth saving and daisy’s never had anyone tell her that and that’s what pushes her to get sober. billy sees daisy the same way he sees his addiction and his decision to stay with camila is a decision to change. to not relapse. to be everything his father wasn’t. daisybilly finding each other later in life is them giving each other a second chance. as different people who won’t burn each other up. and the reason both of them are even alive is camila. who told both of them they were worth that second chance. that’s what makes it beautiful and people just don’t. get it!"

Also fun tidbit: it was confirmed that the reason they kept Daisy’s glitter on Billy’s face was to show that even after he runs after of his family, Daisy is still with him in his heart

I loved how Camilla and Daisy have the heart to heart and they acknowledge that they both love Billy. I loved how Camilla doesn't hat Daisy for that. I loved how Camilla had Billy fully back with her for 20 years of happiness but as she knew she was dying, released him back to Daisy. I had a flashback to the moment when B and D were doing the crossword and Daisy had a flash of them 20 years in the future and they were together and laughing.
I just saw the show and watched your reactions vids. I really really enjoyed it - you’re funny, thoughtful, and emotionally mature.

Billy and Daisys chemistry on stage is absolutely INSANE LIKE ????? Someone get Riley Keough and Sam Claflin their Emmy’s immediately!
Also, I think Riley looks just like her grandfather (Elvis) and her mom Lisa Marie in this episode. The Presley genes are strong! It’s so sad her mom just passed right before all of Rileys success❤ But I am glad to see her still enjoying it and having fun!
You know, that is some thing I found out midway through and kept forgetting to bring up, I had no idea that she was a Presley! But you are right, so sad that had to happen right before this. They really do shine through in her though, so it is a wonderful Memorial to them in a way
Great reaction! I would actually think that Billy was in love with both Daisy and Camilla but he loved them both in such different ways. Daisy was this fire and passion these twin flames of each other, for better or for worse they were almost the exact same soul with Camila, she was his water, she brought sense and light and love and stability into his life so I think he was caught up between those two loves and one Daisy made that speech on stage letting him go. He realized that he really needed his family and his water no matter how much he loved Daisy.
I agree! With Camila he wanted to be better, losing Camila instantly made him loose control.
I would definitely recommend listening to the audiobook. I loved it even more than the physical book

In my opinion, Billy stays with Camila because he has love for Julia and the idea of a happy and complete family for her, just like he never had with his father. I don't think he would have ever forgiven himself if he would have become, in a way, like his father.
So yeah, he obviously loves Camila... But they were young and if they didn't have a baby idt they would have stayed together. They even got married because of that.
And he is in love with Daisy, he loves her even at her worst and wants the best for her (except at the end when he's so miserable he just doesn't care)
I agree, but I think Camila giving him Jules is also a big factor in his love for Camila. It’s the sense of having a whole complete family and knowing that Camil truly loves and supports him that he doesn’t want to loose.
@@jessiedobbiereactions for sure! He doesn't want to let her down... He doesn't want to let anyone down. I think he fucked up sometimes, but that's addictions and trauma in a nutshell... And I love Daisy and Billy as characters because they are complex and real. Sometimes you almost wanna hate them. But isn't that what happens when you truly know someone? The good and the bad? Real people are like them, we fck up once and once again... And he tried all he could to not do so but the heart wants what it wants...
I know this show is old news for you, but I got recommended your episode 3 reaction, watched it, then went through the rest and left commenting for the end, to not flood it with comments to old videos. What I wanted to say is that I think I watch reaction videos because it's the only way to re-experience at least a small part of what it was like to watch a show you love for the first time once again. it's a bit like having a smoke for the first time in three days vs. having a smoke for the first time ever, I guess. I don't know if it's the same for other people, of course. Your videos were also great because of the interesting thought-provoking discussion after the episode was over too, especially during the middle of the season where you speculated about where it would go. Finally, if Eminem is Rap God, you could be CTA God because your rapid fire calls to action before hitting play were very amusing :D

I like the idea that Camila is his true love, but Daisy was his soulmate. Also, what do you think of having a season 2... it's been a topic that's been discussed! Want your opinion!
It’s interesting because my first reaction is to say yes. yes, yes! I love these characters and I would love to see more from them. However, if we did a season two, it would be a very different kind of show I feel. That’s not to say it would be bad, just very different, so I would be worried on how they could properly execute it. But this was so good that I would trust them for a season two!
I think a Season 2 could be really cool. Like, having Daisy and Billy learning to be together without the alcohol and drugs and all the bad, and just learning to be good for each other instead of pulling each other down. It could be cool to see the band decide to do a reunion after doing the Documentary and just learning to work together and be better. See a little more of all their lives after everything that happened.
But at the same time, I do feel like this was a perfect ending and it could be so dangerous to do another season because they could ruin it. Like, the part of me that just wants to see more of these characters says "Yes! I need more! They should do another season!" but then the part of me that recognises that sometimes that can damage shows is just like "No, just leave it as it is. Don't ruin it." (DON'T MAKE A GOOD THING BAD! Haha)

yeah eddie/camila are totally onesided lol i don't get really get people who want camila to end up with him. billy/camila are far from perfect, but they loved each other and chose each other over and over again
I think they did a good job at showing how much Eddie loved her and was there for Camila when Billy wasn’t. With that said, it was definitely not reciprocated to Eddie on Camila’s side, so it really wouldn’t have made sense if they were end game lol
when you read the book you will hate Rod so much, I'm glad they made him a likable in the show...same with Eddie. There is also one more member of the band that they completely skipped on the show but it's okay because he barely had any lines. Also, Simone didn't have much going on in the book but she had a beautiful side story in the tv show. They changed a lot of things in the tv show and it''s definitely more pg but the book it's good too
