daisy making the choice to let billy go, and by extension saving herself *and* billy is my favorite change from the book. it's so powerful. and i do feel like most of the changes elevate the source material, including camila and daisy's hotel scene. i liked that they recognized the mess they were in, were vulnerable with each other, and that camila wasn't so strong all the time. and i liked that there was a moment where she decided she's had it and left billy, and only took him back after he put in the work to be better for her.
i definitely enjoyed theses changes a lot! especially for Daisy’s character, the whole ending part of the show is literally perfect 🥲🫶🏻
Finally, someone agrees with me. The revelation that Julia is the interviewer behind the documentary camera is so damn touching. I lost it while reading, and again while watching.

I finished watching the show last night, and I was so excited to see this video - you can't even imagine!!! I justtt completed watching all episodes and now I'm here. Crying again with you. It's one of the perfect adaptations I've seen in my life. Watching this show made me feel exactly THE SAME I've felt when reading the book. That never happened before, having this exact same feeling. This show felt like I'm rereading the book again. I don't know why but I cried more watching the show than reading the book. Usually when we read the book first we know what happens in the show and that helps not getting more emotional. But this show hit me twice as hard. Just AMAZING. Every TJR books has this amazing potential to be great adaptations. I hope Evelyn Hugo gets the same care and thought that went into this show!!

@@reactswithria I haven't read Malibu Rising either. I'm planning on reading it soon!! As for Evelyn Hugo, I think I'm biased. Because it's my first TJR book. I loveeee Daisy Jones and the Six and I think I even love it more after the show but Evelyn Hugo I think is my favourite. It goes through almost 3 decades. But I heard they're making it a movie instead of a show, and Netflix is doing it so for now just 🤞🤞 Also there is a small cameo from Mick Riva (a character in Evelyn Hugo) in the Daisy Jones book (he is an actor in one of those early parties Daisy attends) and his family is the main lead of Malibu Rising which I think is really cool 😅

i loved that episode, so underrated tbh
even the first time i recorded the reaction it wasn’t too expensive, ‘cause the episode is very slow (but super beautiful), so i decided to leave it out this time 🫶🏻
