    @CamndoMr All you need is vodka and any one of these essential oils--Sage--Rosemary--Summer SAvoury ( winter causes the libido to stay south ) Pine--cajeput--cade or juniper 1 ounce of vodka to 5 drops and percuss it 80-100 times and then let sit for a day or 2 and you will have made your woodsy outdoor scent
    let me know how it goes

    the leathery scent can either be a synthetic or a mixture of esssential oils reacting with the leather--juniper---cedar---cypress and rosemary or sace can be pu together and once they reaction is over in a ix you can sometimes replicate that scent---depending what these oils gwet exposed to

    what are you trying to achieve reduction of scent or drying out---reduction of scent---use any e/o of choice in a carrier---reduction of sweat use sage internally and make a rince as well

    the vinegar will be a tad strong and not pleasant to wear but you could ingest this to increase relief from anxiety---to be able to rst---to disinfect a wound topically--to use for different type of bug bites---hope this gives you some ideas

    @lawfour there are 2 frames of thought on this
    some say blend the oils and allow to set for a week because this will give the essentialm oils time to mix ---another is that it will as well and maybe alter it in a different way---either way I have found work---and you get a different effect as well with the different combos and sometimes you cannot replicate what you did the first time
    SO explore and expand and do not get caught up on being restricted---use common sense and explore

    @robbynood if you are in north america a good tripled filtered quadripled distilled will work

    add an essential oil to the oil you wish to burn orrr add a drop(s) of the essential oil in a water container in a shallow metal container that you can sit over a candle and allow the heat to evaporate the water and oil---so mostly it is a fusion of an oil --in candles they rarely are coming out in the melting of the candle due to the limited mix in the waxes

    @wayofsalaf --herbal shops--aromatherapy shops---online---the trick is to figure this out--I have never used it so I would know but in putting them togetheruse only 1-5 drops butttt the key again is to decide which one to use that high or low and to let sit for a bit ( 2 weeks or longer ) allowing the oils to mix then add the alcohol of choice aftrewards---but this will be a trial an error till you figure it out
    so do not be impatient---some things do take time and process

  • @HerbsPlusBeadWorks
    @HerbsPlusBeadWorks  Před 13 lety

    @JepMaster8 Ok the only thing I could think of is either A) the essential oil was a dilution more then an actual oil because this will happen when you add a regular oil to the mix or it may have some kind of solvent---dmso when added to alcohol will initially do this as well--the essence is again a bastardation so this would be expected B) the alcohol but the svedka as far as I know is clean like smirnoff---was there any residue from something else leftover in the bottle?

    Tony

  • @HerbsPlusBeadWorks
    @HerbsPlusBeadWorks  Před 12 lety

    @balancedesign2010 yes 40 proof is good--more then enough---if you are getting clouding then the essential oil maybe ---less purified then it should be or they used a solvent to get the oils out if they did then this would explain the reason--make sure you got steam distilled essential oils--look them up online and see how they are distilling there oils
    T

  • @HerbsPlusBeadWorks
    @HerbsPlusBeadWorks  Před 13 lety

    @JepMaster8 What type of ESSENTIAL oil are you using??and are you mixing it with anything else---if so that could be why--usually with the e/o there is not this cloudiness it usually is clear unless the oil itself is processed with a solvent---then this maybe the cause as well

  • @HerbsPlusBeadWorks
    @HerbsPlusBeadWorks  Před 13 lety

    @nico27004 as long as the store bought--it will depend on the grade of essential oil you use lower quality it dies off sooner the higher the frequency of the oil and no base note then again it will disissipate quicker

    @MrCUZZ107 Yes to the last part you can use whatever essential oils do not use synthetics--if you want to utilize an oil with this then you are making a perfume--read and research the oils --I do not advocate soybean or canola oil at all under no circumstances--due to the toxicity of these oils and when mixing these essential oils some are estrrogenic and will exasperate the endocrine system with soy-almond-apricot-coconut-palm -jojoba-sunflower-sesame are options to utilize

    these are essential oils...so they would be all steam distilled.....and that would depend on the use of the oils to develop this...everyday use and direct sunlight could do this if using it on the skin but if you spray it on clothing ...then there is no issues
    or if sprayed on feet before applying socks and shoes.....again it will depend as well on how strong you would make your cologne...i used 3 drops.....you can go lowere as well or higher....and then use accordingly

    Hey Tony, cool channel. I plan on reading the book you talk about in the video. My question is, would there be any benefits to using oil to extract essential oils rather than alcohol? If I were making lemon extract to use as a natural preservative(for instance), does the alcohol kill off or inhibit any of the anti-oxidant properties? I don't mind using something like Everclear in the least bit, it's just something I've always wondered about.

    Have you tried new directions? I know the shipping is pricey but I like the eos they provide. I make soap with them instead of perfuming.

    I think straight Henna Flower (Gul Heena in Indian pharmacoepia) is also of that nature of a fragrance, but after lingering for about 10 minutes. Cedar and sage sound good, maybe with frankincense Medium) or agarwood oud (strong) or tobacco (strong) essentials.
