For anyone looking to do this here's my experience. On a 1984 Mustang small block Ford 5.0 I had an issue with the pan touching the k member. I had to cut in pretty deep into the K member to have it fit. Factory K member hopefully a maximum Motorsport one will be better. Also because the pan is alot bigger it's a lot easier to put the motor in with the transmission out of the car. Though I didn't remove the transmission I did have to lower it and bring it further back. This was on a Mustang 84 that has a manual transmission. Also build quality was not really the best but the Machine Shop said this is very common with aftermarket oil pans. The pan flange was slightly warped and it really needed to be RTVed up to make sure that it didn't leak. they said this is common. Not something I expected though seeing it's about $500 once you get everything together.

My experience with steeet strip 302 version, it leaked from poor welds on the pan rail, had to use JB weld on a brand new $400 pan!
