I'm glad I nursed my son. He would do a special cry for hungry. I'd pick him up and open my shirt. No waiting time for feedings. He learned that he could depend on me to feed him when he was hungry. That is very important for a baby.

But yes, when a father figure is in the room with him only, he'll continue to do this, which shows us that a mother needs to be present not just for his safety but for necessary lessons he needs to learn in this stage in his life! Sigh...Well, hopefully mama will come back into the room and wait for him to begin crying again once he realizes she's in the room, pick him up and nurse him, which will teach him that it is necessary to cry when you're already a newborn wanting your mama.

It doesn’t take that long to make a bottle. Bottle+powder formula+warm tap water=bottle ready. Never timed myself, but 2-4 minutes max.
