I was my mother's eighth child and she used to tell me that while she was very strict about making sure my oldest sister (her first baby) was on a feeding schedule that was so regimented that she often woke her up when it was time for her bottle, that she NEVER woke me up to give me a bottle. By the time I came along, she had learned that a baby would not starve to death if she delayed feeding it for an hour or two and she thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet (relatively speaking...she did, after all, have seven more children besides me!) while her newest baby was asleep! When I see mothers wake their babies on these videos because it is time for their bottle, I could be wrong but I always think, "Yep. She's a new mom."
Yes! The first thing people say is "OMG feed that baby...gonna starve if you don't throw camera and grab her up! Stomach pain unbearable due to hunger!" Smh.
