    I think it's detail related. Mobile guys have a flat, a customer has a flat. The jump box is also a good idea for mobile guys. There's a customer with a dead battery or they have issues. Two items for vacation as you mentioned mobile detailers should also have. Great demo. You always make people think.

      Thank you! That’s why I love Ryobi 18 volt tools they all take the same batteries.

    Thanks Brian, I was just looking at inflators this morning. Perfect timing. Take care.

    That 5 minutes on 5 off is called the duty cycle. The motor and hose are rated for the 5 minutes worth of heat buildup. This is how most inflators die. Personally I got the milwaukee one because that thing is just a monster when it comes to inflating anything high pressure. Not only is it a 20 minute duty cycle (20 on 40 off) but it has about a 6x inflation rate as this. It would of had that tire to 55psi in 2 ish minutes. But I'll likely pick this up for my commuter, which has tiny tires at 32 psi

    • @Pro1er
      @Pro1er Před 26 dny

      I gave up on telling people about the duty cycle, let them burn out their inflator. There is an instruction manual provided but who needs an instruction manual for an inflator, right?

    Thanks for reviewing this product Brian. I've been looking at these for a few months now trying decide which one to purchase. I wanted to get one of these for use at home since I don't have compressed air. For $40, that's a great price.

    Excellent test. I already bought one and wanted toi see how it worked compared to the old one and this video did the trick. I always hunched over the car trying to fill the tire. I think it's great that they fixed that issue. The issue about being a few PSI off doesn't seem to be a big problem since you can just set the inflator to stop a few pounds above. Thank you. I hope it lasts years like the old one.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  Před měsícem

      Thank you! I really enjoy this one and yes the PSI being off isn’t a big deal just one of those quirks they could easily fix I would think.

    Going to have to get this! I do love my very reliable Ryobi pistol inflator one like you used to have and had the same drawbacks with the trigger and being 2-3psi off. I would definitely make the upgrade for that price!

      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  Před 2 měsíci

      And it’s a great upgrade from the pistol grip for sure! Thanks for watching

    Great video Brian. I have a couple Ryobi inflators but really like the size of that one to carry in the Chevy Bolt EUV.. have to manage the space or lack there of.

    This is a great product from Ryobi. It works amazing. Plug the pump on your tire, most cars will use the defaul 35psi it is set to, just press start and let it do its job. You can see the psi your tire has when it is turned on and when it hits the psi you set it to (or the default 35 if you use that) it will shut off automatically. On a 25" tire that was fully flat, it fully inflated it in about 3-4 minutes and barely even uses any power on the battery.

    I love the inflators Brian. I've had the Ryobi dual inflator for years. I use it more than any tool. It also has auto shutoff. What battery jump box do you recommend?

      It’s a great inflator! I have a HulkMan jump box off Amazon and love it. I have a review video on that unit on my CZcams channel.

    I'm looking for something like this for off road use. I have a Smittybilt inflator that I connect to my battery but I would love to not have to do that. I need to go from 16 psi to 32 psi. Currently I can do that is 2 min per tire. I would love to use Ryobi since we have batteries. The Milwaukee one gets great reviews, but I would have to also buy batteries and a charger.

  • @lyrafinnell300
    @lyrafinnell300 Před měsícem

    Do you have to keep checking when battery still have power every 10 days after fully charge for example since you don’t know when you are going to have a flat tire while on the road? That’s too much hassle to remind yourself don’t you think? Would it still better to get a cigarette lighter connect car inflator instead. Clearly this is only handle if you are at home or on vacation.

    As a part time woodworker/full time architect, I know that the original Reeohbee tools were sound. Since they ended up as a corporate merger, they not the same. They are sisters of Milwaukee and Ridgid all made in China.
    You can still get MIJ Ryobi tools if you order online.
    After all of that, there seems to be a major innovation shift with Mil and Ryo. I don't own any Ryobi tools as I usually bty Makita but for $89 for a air pump and battery/charger it's a steal. I'd just like to know how long their batts hols a charge?
    As you mentioned, I carry a noco power pack. Using jump leads is a pita!
    I think I'll take a punt on one of these things as my rear tyres will trigger the tpms in cold weather and sometimes on their own. By the time I get to a petrol station with a decent air pump, my tyres are warm.
    Nice review mate and that car you show in the beginning had a polish I could shave looking at it.

    since both of these Ryobi inflators are off by 2psi, could it be the other pressure gauge is off and both of these are actually accurate?

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  Před 2 měsíci

      No I have tested my other gauges against them also and they are always 2-3 psi off.

    The downside of this inflator is that it only has a 5 minute run time (continous duty cycle)

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  Před 26 dny

      I’ve run it for 20 minutes multiple times with no problem. The first version I have also says 5 minute duty cycle but I ran it way beyond that all the time and it still works great today.
