  • Need a jump starter for your car or work truck? Ryobi just launched a new portable jump starter that will keep you from having to call a friend or AAA the next time you find yourself with a dead battery.
    This all new Ryobi Jump Starter (P7101) provides up to 1600 peak amps to jump start a car, truck, or boat battery with ease. Using the kitted 2.0Ah battery, Ryobi tells us you can expect up to 20 uses on a single charge.
    In this video, Kenny shows off the features of this Ryobi Jump Starter, hooks it up to his truck and demonstrates the recharging process, as well as filling you in on where you can get the jump starter and how much it'll cost.

    Just bought one a few weeks back, Friends car batter was DEAD left interior lights on in 20 degree weather and parked in a car port so couldn't get another vehicle close enough to jump it, called me I brought rhe jumpstart over hooked it up pressed prime took about 60 to 75 seconds started the vehicle right up!!! Works great and the light is handy!! Very happy with it, it will be great for my boat and ATVs!

    Nice tool! Wish other brands do this kind of starters. Much nicer than carrying big battery or finding out dead jump starter

    Can’t wait for Milwaukee to offer something similar. It’s a nice having a smaller lighter jump starter vs the larger ones with a built in battery

      Yup. I own Milwaukee m18’s and some ryobis. Im slowly doing away with ryobi so im also waiting for Milwaukee to make one of these to go with my m18 tire inflator

      @@bee2333Just get a battery adapter and run the Milwaukee battery on the ryobi tool 🤷‍♂️ Best of both worlds

    I like it, but $179 bare tool seems silly. Especially when you can buy units with a built in battery and an air compressor for that amount.

      @Grandpuba1069 Před 7 měsíci +1

      Those aren’t good either. Buy the dewalt inflator or Milwaukee inflator and a gooloo or noco and call it a day. Stop being cheap

    • @brokenwrench404
      @brokenwrench404 Před 7 měsíci +5

      The built in battery versions are heavy and take longer to recharge and when you leave them plugged in all the time it shortens the life of the internal battery.

      The past 3 jump boxes like you just describe that I have purchased. Have stopped working within three months. The last time I bought the best one on the market. And it lasted a total of 6 months before the battery would no longer hold a charge. This thing blows all of them out of the water. I've never seen a jump box that could jump off my high compression small block, This thing does it with ease 🤷‍♂️

    My wife bought me this for Christmas (at my request). I used it the other day to start my 1971 Dodge Charger. I had to go through 2 jump cycles because of the car's open fuel system and the fuel having evaporated out of the carburetor.

    The 6ah 18v high performance batteries are the exactly same size as the 4ah batteries 🤷‍♂️ the only one thats bigger is the 8ah battery. Now the older 4&6 ah batteries, you might be correct, but not the new ones.

      @vizulefllry The 12ah I have is actually larger than my 4&6, but it is the brand new high-performance one 🤝🏻

    For those interested, capacitors on the inside, not batteries. 5 of them!

    I like Ryobi products, but this is a miss. It doesn't have a built-in charger, and it's huge.
    For my money I went with the Noco Bost X. It charges on USB-C, it's smaller, and it costs less. It also has USB-C and USB-A out if you want to use it like a USB power supply.
    Ryobi are priced like a value brand, but when it comes to this, and some of their battery inverter products they are priced above the premium brands while providing less value.
    Ryobi, you can do better!

    What about the fact that you're not supposed to store those batteries in your vehicle 🤔

    • @dirtmcgirt0420
      @dirtmcgirt0420 Před 5 měsíci

      Honestly it's not that much different than newer cars with lithium batteries also 🤷‍♂️

    • @therantman879
      @therantman879 Před 5 měsíci

      @dirtmcgirt0420 it's definitely much different it tells you in the manual that comes with those batteries to not store them in the car or even in your garage during the summer. I have a ryobi pack that is swelling up from leaving it in my truck to many times. Also electric cars blow up and burn down house all the time

      Also in two years that $200 battery you're hauling around will be a paper wait. This tool will still be going, Every jump starter I've ever owned the Internal batteries went toast with in a year. So keep hauling that die hard around lmfao
