    Wow, what a difference that makes to the range!
    Travelling at 110km/h as opposed to 130km/h in the previous test makes such a difference.
    Clearly, you can make a good distance if you just slow it down a bit.
    Probably enough range to satisfy most ICE owners, but this is a summer test.

      Well its almost imposible to drive 110 in my country ..130 is speed limit but everyone in left line drive 140 ,and on right line you have milions off truck driving 100 or slower ,so its or 130-140 or less then 100

    Please do a 110km/ h ID7 summer test to compare! ID7 is better at 130km/h, we want to see at 110km/h as well.

    Amazing consumption… Looking forward to you testing aftermarket stalks when they arrive. I just like the interior of the new / facelifted Tesla model 3

    Whoa, I was awaiting this one, but never expected it to arrive so fast :) Thank you!
    Also, Chris, what do you think about the recent changes on EnBW with regards to the recent changes with the roaming providers? It seems that all of a sudden, many other operators took the same approach and we're now back to the old times where you need tens of apps to travel comfortably in Europe.
    While I go get that many say EnBW wants to cut out on "subsidizing" the local operators, if I remember correctly they were the ones that introduced these kind of roaming taxes in the first place, back in the days.

    Tesla uses driver monitoring with cabin camera. So if you look at your phone or too long on display it will nag you. Moving the steering alone may not stop the nag. You have to look at the road also. On the flip side if you are looking ahead steering nag may not come for 1-2 minutes at least in US. Hope this helps you to avoid auto pilot jail 😂

      More interesting, as some of us drive across country on B roads at that speed. No one drives at 110 on the motorway in Germany. Maybe in the UK.. 110 is a bit under 70 mph

    • @badbasic
      @badbasic Před 7 dny

      If it helps, my 2024 rwd 3 consumes 90 Wh/km at those speeds, just insane efficiency. I once got 556 kms on B roads from 93% to 5%.

    I'm a bit curious how much model 3 will consume at 140 km/h.

    • @badbasic
      @badbasic Před 7 dny +1

      Really depends, I drove my SR on Autobahn in May, @150 km/h it consumed 170 Wh/km. But the SR is lighter, more efficient, I have small rims with aero covers, it was perfect weather so AC was no issue... I think his 130 km/h was a bit high, at least according to my car, I mostly drive @130 on highway in my country, and usually get around 145-150.

    • @Eugen-E
      @Eugen-E Před 6 dny

      @@badbasic He got 143 Wh/km at 106km/h average speed and you get the same at 130-140? Lies as always.

    • @tararat
      @tararat Před 5 dny

      Drag is proportional to speed squared. So estimated at 250 wh/km : (140/106 )squared * 145

    • @badbasic
      @badbasic Před 5 dny

      @@Eugen-E Nope, it was perfect weather at 20 °C, and RWD is more efficient. The aero rims also knock the consumption down by further 5%. At 35°C I get 120 wh/km at 90 km/h, so outside temperature has a huge effect.

    • @Eugen-E
      @Eugen-E Před 5 dny

      @@badbasic In his test the temperature was also 20°C. Everybody already knows aero rims do nothing.
      Dual motor models have front motor disconnect.
      At 35°C you use your AC
      We don't talk about 90km/h. Nobody goes that slow.
