Anyone else want a trade now before the deadline to help out this miserable offense?
To me the untouchable conversation has to consider redundancy in the organization. Harry Ford is the only good catcher in the org, whereas Emerson, Young, Celesten, Peete, and Arroyo all play middle infield. When I think "untouchable" I think about the guys that aren't replaceable. Laz, Ford, Farmelo, and to some degree Celesten because I do think that the other middle infielders probably move off of shortstop whereas Celesten will almost certainly stick. That makes one or two of: Emerson, Young, Peete, and Arroyo reasonable to trade if Celesten is kept.

Yeah I'd have to say Hancock is much better than Colby said. He's a good number 4 In my opinion with the ceiling of a 3.
Bet the Mariners don't make a trade until the day before the end of the deadline.
Just seems like its the type of thing that would happen.
Also most teams won’t make any trades before deadline including the sellers, maximize as much value as they can and create bidding wars In prospects.

Do you guys believe we will trade for a big time hitter and if so not get fleeced in return?
I’m not even convinced the Mariners are going to make a trade before the deadline… I can see them thinking they are good with what they got!
There's 2 or 3 untouchables in my opinion. We all know everyone if touchable depending on the package but you know what I mean. Number 1: Felnin Celestine. Kids ceiling is unreal. Number 2: Lazaro Montes. Kid could be the next Miguel Cabrera at the plate. International prospects like these two are rare and not easily replaceable in the draft. Harry Ford is on the fringe of untouchable for me just because we have no other good catching prospects in the Org.
Id try to improve by only trading the guys at the back end of the top 10 and supplement from the rest of the top 30. Therefore I'm looking for deals where they'll take bulk only. I think it can be done. You guys have discussed numerous trade targets that you felt a bulk or mid tier prospect type of offer might do it.
Locklear and Arroyo wouldnt bother me. I think Locklear is going to just be OK in MLB. Arroyo i sont have a clue ither than him being a kind of fringe top 10 in the org prospect.

They better not trade Felnin. His value is low at the moment for where it could be a year or two from now. I'm not moving Felnin or Lazaro. Rather move Cole young
Emerson Hancock has given us a surprising amount of "quality starts" and the defense usually steps up to have his back, but ZERO run support from the offense doomed what should have been a 4 game sweep. 20 strikeouts to the CWS is so incredibly laughable even if Crochet is an ace. I guess im just happy i can say we're in 1st place and 9 games over .500!

It gives a power bat at dh and relief pitcher we need.
