If Kirby felt like he was done and didn’t have it left in the tank, and yet Scott still sent him out there and we lost a game because of it, there definitely should be a conversation. There was clearly a communication breakdown somewhere. Obviously Kirby went too far in the media and he knows it but all these old head guys with arm injuries out there yapping need to shut their mouths. The game has left them behind.
HE WAS RIGHT lol dude blew a lead after the manager made a decision that goes against the philosophy they’ve brought their starters up with. Sure the bullpen’s taxed and needs the length but of course he’s gonna be hot after he was sent out when he didn’t feel like he had it, and we lost a game because of it.
@@mattforbes221 and it's in the waning days of September where you see who is legit and who isn't. The whole point of the other major leaguers piling on him is more than likely this reason: "Oh, so you're tired? TOUGH FUCKING SHIT! WE'RE ALL TIRED!! WE HAVING FUCKING GAMES TO WIN, KID!" Nobody in a contending clubhouse is ever going to be okay with a youngster spouting off about being tired, everyone in September is tired and partially injured, but these guys play to win, this is a loser attitude, and veterans who've likely seen plenty of losing because of it despise it.
His one and only mistake was saying it to the media. That is something that you keep in the clubhouse, he seems to understand his limits and knows when he's out of gas, he has to communicate that to the pitching coach and manager, not the beat reporters.
Kirby is honest and yall get mad...he is correct. 90 pitches after the 6th. Why put him in? Because....? Idk tbh, Mariners pitching choices always scratch my head this month
It is funny that some of people saying Kirby should be a professional are also people who are cool with a grown man throwing a rock 100 mph at another man’s head because he’s momentarily shown up in a sport he’s being given millions for
Not caring about this ! Fan of Mariners . He has a right to free speech . We all say things we should not have when frustrated or angry . One statement and you get skewered , Im so lucky Im not in front of a mic and famous . We are all human for gods sake . Cut people some slack .
Not like he’s wrong, but what a terrible look. Bullpen decisions are tough though, not sure what the context was cause I don’t really track the Mariners. But you’d hope that he was in the 7th because there was a reason not to go to the Bullpen.
Lmao hes a 2nd year pitcher making the league minium. Up until a week ago he was in the running for the cy young. Hes underpaid right now for how good he usually is.
he means athletes in general are overpaid. When a man can take care of generations of family members because he can throw a rock, why do something socially beneficial
Kirby threw 9 innings not even a month ago by the way. One dumb quote that he apologized for shouldn’t define him as a player
Oh no he had to do his job :(
George has been beyond great for this ballclub. He's a young kid who spoke out of frustration after blowing a game, move on.
exactly

The hoops kids these days will jump through to try and justify people Being cocksuckers is just incredible😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is such a non issue with the Ms and Ms fans, it's being blown away out of proportion
He apologized and he’s partly right so idk why this is a big story

Because it's his job and if he didn't suck, he'd be able to do it, regardless. He's just soft
@@Eggy79but he doesn't suck. He might be soft, but he sure asf doesn't suck
The third guy was like a Christopher Walken character, “your tone is all wrong”.

He shouldnt have apologized if that's what he meant. And if a fight comes with that, so be it
Chris nobody cares that active major leaguers called you
Leave my Kirby alone

It was a nothing burger y’all really getting upset after this??? Get upset that Kirby’s team will miss the playoffs entirely
90 pitches and being done as a pitches just seems ridiculous. I could be wrong though
Pitch better and you won’t be at 90 pitches. Overpaid athlete.
