  • Looking for a waterline leak. Sometimes finding the leak is harder than the repair itself. I try to keep cutting drywall to minimum, but in this case all the drywall I cut into was soaked and coming out anyways #Plumbing #Plumber #HomeRepair #PlumbingRepair #DIY #Handyman #Plumero

Ugh that’s a tight spot! Crazy random copper leak! I’ve been battling a lot of hot line pex failures lately.

What do you think caused this leak ? As a soldered virgin copper joint it should be best of all theoretically and resistant to almost anything but flexing, tools, nails and screws?

It’s type M copper and it’s over 30 years old on hot water so it could just be time or it could be defective

I noticed it was “M” copper. Is that legal to use in your area for a residential water supply system?

Did you consider using a thermal camera ? Do you think it is possible to dehumidify that level of water leak or was all the drywall replaced?

All the drywall was removed by another company that does water restoration
