- Take a ride with me on a Giant Stance E + as I climb Kettle Ridge and descend on Sendero in North Conway New Hampshires hurricane trail system.
I made this video because there really isn't any good content about this bike on youtube and I honestly believe with a few solid upgrades, it is a great budget option if your in the market for a "TRAIL" E bike . - Sport
“moderately rowdy” 😂
Great video !!!
Ty
Thank you. Very good.😊
I had a 2020 Stance acoustic bike, it was great fun, sold it for top dollar, got a 2021 Trance 29 3. Added a 2021 Trance X E + Pro 29 "3" and it's like you found out, uphills are amazing. 1,070 miles since Oct in Utah's ski resorts and deserts. Question is we both know the Stance is not a true Maestro suspension (like a Trance) and it appears you swapped out bars plus the Pike. By the way no need to 'boost' in 4 or 5, just learn the cadence in 3 and you'll have endless battery left. I avg 17-24 miles in Park City's ski resort, endless ups, but end of day have 50% battery left! A Stance is a steal these days IF you're not spoiled by the Trance cockpit, and with the supply chain a mess it might be the go to solution for a year, next year.
That’s how I ended up with it, all other bikes were a year out on preorder with no guarantee of delivery date. This one came up local at a really good price so I gave it a try. So far I’m happy with it.
awesome video. It's crazy how versatile this bike is. I want to get one to set it up for gravel and road riding predominantly. But it's nice to know it can handle some rowdy business also...🤘🤘
It’s a great bike. Thank you
What tires you gonna use for road? I want to take it bike touring
@@johnmercado9618 not sure exactly what brand, but I'm thinking something ~ 2" semi slick...?
@@johnmercado9618 I don’t ride it on the road sorry I can not answer that.
Nice ride, you think the 150 fork travel is enought for all trails? Except enduro parks or something with big gaps or jumps.
150 will do it all , even the enduro parks , just be selective with your lines . This bike has a 140 pike and although it doesn’t look it on gopro , this trail has Some steep rowdy bits .
I’m coming for your climbing time 😂
If anyone can do it , it would be you…
How long would it take you to do the climb on a normal MTB ? and would you be able to pedal up without stopping ?
I did it once before but unsure of the time . I pushed a lot.
i would like to ask mate what brand of handlebars you got on your stance?
please can you tell me what diameter and how long it is thabks mate

I have a chance to pick a 2020 e 2 power for 2200 - it's spotless - guy used it as a physio bike after back surgery and then just sat for a year - i am 220 lbs and currently ride a crazy rear hub 1500w but it does not feel like riding a bike - more of a 40lb rocket - will i be sad going from that to a real EMTB - cheers
The bike your purchasing is a giant? Or no? I honestly have no experience with the hub powered bikes or cruisers in general. With that said I am far from sad when I ride the giant stance .
@@jeremiahmurphymedia4487 yes 2020 giant stance E 2 power - the 1500w is a cadence sensor so it has very little control down low
I would say if your looking for a e powered mountain bike for mountain biking purposes you will not be let down. If your looking for transportation there may be better options. I have not explored that market .
Are you still riding this? Any issues? I know the basic Trance gets a bad rap for geo and being non boost etc. How is this one?
I am , no issues besides a bad controller. I believe it got wet but it was a cheap fix. The bike has its limitations being short travel and having a qr axle rear, but for the price it’s an excellent trail bike. Hard to tell in this video but this decent is pretty steep and technical and it did more than ok . If you understand it’s not an enduro bike you won’t be disappointed. In my eyes it’s a budget e bike, but I enjoy it.
@@jeremiahmurphymedia4487 yea that travel on the back concerns me since im 280lbs. I also didn't know they left the rear axle as QR. damn. Thanks for the heads up on that. The price does seem like a decent point of entry for an e bike.
Im curious how much more riding you feel like you can do since you can make it to the top of trails easier?
@@ArizonaMMJ I’m a light guy, 150lbs. My nightly rides have been 7-8 miles in 45 minutes roughly . I could do so much more but that’s the loop around my home. I barely lose 1 bar on my battery when doing this .
@@jeremiahmurphymedia4487 so do you turn off pedal assist once you get to the trail head or you just leave it on?
@@ArizonaMMJ keep it on , usually mid range power
