I’ll be honest: I lost my ISH when you pulled the cover off and showed the Fila Hill logo. I had the OG All-Star colorway back in high school and people didn’t know because my high school was full of Nike heads. So happy to see these remade and look super close to the OGs.
Also, when you mention court feel... you don’t lie about that. I remember playing outdoors with them and... I’m glad I had them young knees back then because they had ZERO cushioning. I pushed down on crash pad in the heel just to check if the 2A actually worked haha.
For real man. I wish they would rerelease the all star colorway. I can’t find em deadstock or anything anywhere

Something like that? I'm assuming the 2A stands for 'absorption' and 'airbag'.
So the 2A cushioning system it said is a special ergonomic, energy-returning system/device that is design to absorb impact like an airbag and have a elastic/energy-returning feeling of a rubber/elastic body as well as stability. FILA is known to be an Italian company, but it was actually bought by FILA Korea in early 2000s, so the tech sheet is in Korean.

Had those back in the day but different color way.INDESTRUCTIBLE!!couldn’t wear the shoe down and I balled in these on wood and concrete.hands down one of the most durable shoes I’ve ever played in.
Lots of guys in my high school had owned this around ‘98-‘99. I never had the chance to own a pair though. Seeing this shoe pop up again on youtube brings back some memories for sure.

I liked the 1st 2 GH...The Stallion represented Horsepower hence Detroit Pistons..I liked and owned that jersey...this colorway is a great one for this day of age
I loved the Grizzlies jersey in mid 90s ,I had Bryant Reeves jersey...but I've always been and still a Charlotte Hornets fan

I was a huge Grant Hill fan back then and I was so crazy of these shoes. First signature shoes that I bought. They look really awesome eapecially the white with black line colorway but they are bulky to the point that it makes your foot looks big

I had these when I was in like 3rd grade for basketball and cried after my second game with them because they hurt my feet so bad. Then moved to the questions and never looked back.

I’m not sure who edits the videos, I like to imagine it’s Mrs Wing, but seriously this is the only sneaker channel that has me die laughing. All the little clips that break up the video are hilarious! They aren’t too much to where it gets annoying, but it’s also not too little to where it seems random or out of place. They compliment what Chris has to say so well. Great vid as always!

You talking about Nostalgia at the best I firmly believe three of the biggest what ifs in NBA history was Grant hill, Penny Hardaway and Derrick Rose and what all these players could have done talent wise if injuries had not cut their career short, people it's very easy for them to forget but Grant Hill was a bad man... the shoes are awesome

I picked up the black & white retro GH3s years ago...just for the nostalgia
I played HS 🏀 in the original GHill 2-4. I had the all black GHill 3’s, I loved the Fila reflector in the back. The 2A cushion was just a bunch of hexagonal gel pods that did nothing back then as well. I felt fast and nimble in them back in the day.

i still remember the insert in the cushion those red rubbery plastic toy under the heel thats epic its also in the gh1-2.
I had og’s back in the day. They were mostly black with white bottoms. They were a very stiff shoe . And I remember the bottom of the soles weren’t flat they were kind of bubbled out, so there was a high point in the middle of the forefoot. But man they had that great 90s chunky shoe look.

These are not even close compared to the first two iconic sneakers. Method Man rocking the 1's in the All I Need video, and Tupac in the 2's on All Eyez on Me...but you get my like for ANY Fila from the 90's!
I love Fila GH since I was like 9 or 10yrs old, and until now. Sadly, Fila is underrated here in the Philippines. Am gonna grab that GH and feature it in my channel! Thank you Chris for this awesome video. 😉

Hey nightwing, any chance you remember the sneaker store called “Just For Feet”? It was super ‘90’s and some locations even had a whole basketball court! I was like 6 last time I was in one but that place was awesome
I had a just for feet down the block from me, it was a stand alone building and it had the basketball court in it. I was a kid but I’ll never forget the shoe store with a court in it

This colorway REALLY looked liked the 90s pistons jerseys! There’s no question about it...pun intended. 😆

Collegiate/team lakers gold is also known as golden rod, shout-out years of looking at eastbay mags as a broke kid and learning color ways and how sometimes the change through brands as well.

I remember that piece above the fila started pealing off within days of me buying them as a kid.
The wave and the toe box kinda gives them the feel of the old Jason Kidd Nike shoe.. The Nike had their bubbles in more of the sole area though..
i remember those badboys.. that was my first original basketball shoe ever.. way back 1998..
I had the OGs back in the day and they were absolute tanks on outdoor courts.
The reason why I'm one of the few people who like to buy foamposites is because of Penny. I don't remember the GH3's but I used to watch my distant cousin play in the GH2's back in the day and it looked so fresh on court.

I hooped in these boys (black) daily run and shoot ATL.. I didn't buy them to ball in they was trash at first but once broken in. The shoe never wore out for real great grip almost perfect a very fast shoe. But afterwards I never played in A high top again....
