Is it possible to get a download version of your Sligo River Blues - John Fahey. Really enjoy it, quite amazing.
What makes this channel different from many others is that Paul teaches the people how to love guitar and the benefits of it in your life, it's not only about practice scales and chords...
For me, it's also the fact that he's like the Bob Ross of guitar. He has such a pleasant nature and it's so relaxing and interesting to listen to Paul. It's like you would listen to a friend who explains music theory in a very understandable way to you.
@@AlexAnder-ri8ns never heard that comparison till now but it’s so true.
I learned the importance of guitar last week when I had a mini mental breakdown. I haven't played in a year or 2 and I picked up my guitar and played for 4 hours straight. My immediate emotions came into line and I was happy again. Once you learn how to play it becomes a part of you and you can't stop playing. It's GOING TO AFFECT YOU SOON OR LATER!!! Keep playing people.
In the Heartland - Mark Knopfler - 0:30
Deep River Blues- Doc Watson - 1:58
Sligo River Blues - John Fahey - 3:12
Most underappreciated comment ever! Thank you!
@@rajivc7254 You must be blind.
Yes Pauls fingerpicking is like Marc Knopfler.
Thank you.
Thanks man
Anybody ever sit back and just think about how crazy humans are? We take wood, bone, and some metal strings (which is crazy in it's own right that we created them) and stick them together to create such moving music...we are amazing despite the negativity around us. Remember we are only here for a brief time. The problems we all experience are very small in the grand scheme of things. There is always someone who has it worse. Cheers!
One of the best comments I've ever seen, very inspiring and insightful.
Isnt it amazing how in Sligo River Blues when the cord leaves G that it goes to F instead of C! If it went to back to C it would "resolve" there however by going to F the song has the feeling it would flow on forever like a river! That along with the "blue note" on the B string really has always made this a very special song to me. Thanks Paul! I think I saw my dog in the background if you see him again please send him home?
You're a cut above every other guitar channel on CZcams. We appreciate the great work, Paul!
Lovely. Inspires me to practice more...
Yeah same here!
Inspires me to work so I can get the money to get a guitar
@@jerkylover3896 getting a guitar shouldn't be any problem at all. Just try get some old used one for 10 or 20 bucks on ebay. You don't need an instrument that costs hundreds of euros or dollars to sound good, just practice :)
@@fabianschmitz6587 Yeah as long as you have vise grip fingers.
This was amazing thank you so much for this video.
My uncle recently died from liver failure and his favourite type of music was country. This video reminded me of the times where he would just chuck on any random cd from his collection and just sit on his chair enjoying the beautiful thing called music.
RIP Uncle Mark
Beautiful... Music, playing...and filming!! Stunning setting too!
I love the way you play every single song you show us on your channel almost as much as I like the variety of authors, tecniques and sounds in your videos
Deep River Blues is inspiring and seeing the dry sandy bottom makes it that much more. Loving this.

So grateful my guitar teacher taught me to make my thumb “independent” from the rest of my fingers when I was 12. (I’m 52 now).
I absolutely adore those outdoors guitar videos.
I just sit with this on repeat while doing my homework. Somehow it calms me and keeps me productive at the same time. Must be something magical about it...

Paul Davids Nice. You should do some open tuning ones ... Bron-yr-aur, Little Martha, etc.
Is this place in holland?
Yes! That first video was one of the first of yours that I watched and I fell in love with freight train but thought I’d never be able to play it because I had just started learning, but now I have actually learned that and autumn leaves from you! It was this set of songs that led me to fall in love with a Martin 000-28 and get onto your Patreon page. And thanks to Covid-19 this old retired guy can sit in his den with a cup of coffee and a 000-28 and play folk blues all day long. Thanks Paul!!
