- This video shows my Saturday September 24th, 2022 cycling tour of the Leslie Street Spit in Toronto's east end. This is a man-made peninsula beginning from the foot of Leslie St and stretching approximately 5km out into Lake Ontario. The spit is home to Tommy Thompson Park. Beginning from the Leslie St entrance, I biked all the way to the lighthouse at the end of the peninsula.

The bike I was riding is a non-folding Linear Limo Recumbent Bike. More info about this bike in the link above. I filmed this using my GoPro HERO 9 Black action camera mounted to the main frame tube of the bike at the front with a custom 3D printed plastic bracket. I recorded the audio with a Panasonic voice recorder and earpiece microphone.

Thanks for watching.
Been watching your videos for 10 plus years now. I'm in the UK and a keen cyclist. Particularly enjoy your bike tour videos. Don't stop posting videos. Great channel.
Thanks, glad you enjoy the video!
CJ I really enjoy your videos. I live in Ottawa and find your tours in southern Ontario so interesting because part of my family lives down there. My mother who is originally from Guelph really enjoys your travels as well. She recognizes many of the towns that you pass through. The smooth camera work is easy on the eyes and the historical facts tell us a lot we didn't know. I have done a little bike travel myself and am now encouraged to do more Please keep showing us your travels.
Thanks, I'm glad you and your mother have enjoyed the videos. I actually just posted a quick video I filmed last week where I rode through Guelph.
Love biking down around there, so peaceful.
Yes for sure. It's a great way to get to escape the city.
Thanks for the ride in Tommy Thompson Park. Nice view of the city..
Thanks!
Thanks for the video, I was starting to wonder what was going on with you we had not heard from you in a few weeks. Glad to see that you are back.
Thanks. I have lots of different hobbies and not all of them overlap with my hobby of making CZcams videos. So if there's ever a long hiatus between videos, that's probably why.
Aww that's so nice that your little Cottonwood trees grew! You'll have to keep updating us on how they do! What a very cool organization, taking blind and vision impaired people out for rides on bikes!
They are such a cool souvenir from the trip! Next spring maybe I can make a video showing my whole collection of tree seedlings. The Trailblazers are a very cool group indeed!
Thanks CJ. The spit is one of my favorite places in the city and I go often. Lots of places to explore, some quite isolated. It's absolutely amazing how nature has taken over with so much diversity. When I was a kid it was just rocks and gravel. Apparently they aren't adding any more fill (bricks concrete etc) but will continue to add dredged material (mud debris, sediment) from the harbour for another 30 or 40 years.
Awe, I see. That makes sense. Good to know.
Great Video as always. Glad to see you are okay. Was concerned since you hadn't posted in a few weeks. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it! I have lots of different hobbies and not all of them overlap with my hobby of making CZcams videos. So if there's ever a long hiatus between videos, that's probably why.
8:16 - that's one of those really mean speedbumps I thought were all removed.
Hi CJ I was cycling there in the summer in August ,great ride CJ!
Nice!
this video is long overdue. I go biking there almost every weekend during the spring and summer. I was actually there that same day maybe 1-2 hours after you were there. I like all the space i have when biking and its easier to pass other people. I like the scenery a lot too. I dont enjoy biking on Cherry now to get there, too much construction detours. I preferred crossing the lower down into lakeshore east to get to Tommy but they closed off that bridge now
I'd been wanting to make a bike riding video here for a really long time, so I'm glad I finally had the chance to do it.
I love Tommy Thompson. Last Time I was there was when the monarchs were supposedly gathering. But I only saw 3. I did see a mink on the floating bridge, as well as a snake and a snapping turtle on the paved trail.
On a side question, did you upload then delete an apartment tour video? I swear I saw the thumb nail as I logged out one day. And I was looking forward to watching it when I got home, but I can't find it anymore. Was it supposed to be a private video?
Nice! No, I did not upload and then remove any videos. I did make an apartment tour video several years ago which is still live. I noticed you recently left a comment on that video, so hopefully that was what you were looking for.
