I saw Dora surfing a short single fin at Malibu legendary swell Oct '73. He was lookin' good and the crowd was cheering him.

Miki had spent his entire life on a longboard and at this point had just transitioned to a shortboard. Pretty brave for a guy who was already on the old side for a surfer at that time, but those instincts take time to change.
