Nicolas Kim Coppola (born January 7, 1964), known professionally as Nicolas Cage, is an American actor and filmmaker. Cage has been nominated for numerous major cinematic awards, and won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in Leaving Las Vegas (1995). He earned his second Academy Award nomination for his performance as Charlie and Donald Kaufman in Adaptation (2002).
During his early career, Cage starred in a variety of films such as Rumble Fish (1983), Valley Girl (1983), Racing with the Moon (1984), Birdy (1984), Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), Raising Arizona (1987), Moonstruck (1987), Vampire's Kiss (1989), Wild at Heart (1990), Honeymoon in Vegas (1992), and Red Rock West (1993). After winning his Academy Award, Cage started starring in more mainstream films, such as The Rock (1996), Face/Off (1997), Con Air (1997), City of Angels (1998), National Treasure (2004), Lord of War (2005), Ghost Rider (2007), National Treasure: Book of Secrets, (2007), and Knowing (2009). Cage owns the production company Saturn Films and has produced films such as Shadow of the Vampire (2000) and The Life of David Gale (2003). In October 1997, Cage was ranked No. 40 in Empire magazine's The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time list, while the next year, he was placed No. 37 in Premiere's 100 most powerful people in Hollywood.
In the 2010s, he starred in Kick-Ass (2010), The Croods (2013), Joe (2013), Dog Eat Dog (2016), Mom and Dad (2017), Mandy (2018), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), and Color Out of Space (2019). His participation in various film genres during this time increased his popularity and gained him a cult following. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Nicolas Cage is like Jim Carrey. One does hyper stylized drama and the other makes hyper stylized comedy.
great comparison
Absolutely agree about Vampire’s Kiss; Bad Lieutenant comes close though. He’s my favourite actor. Actually he’s not an actor, he’s being himself.
Love Bad Lieutenant. Great movie
hes an actor playing an actor playing nicholas cage as himself. (sorry im trying to make a similiar tropic thunder joke i hear)
He's a story teller he doesn't act, he gets in the middle of the story and tells you the story.
In a world of narcissistic Hollywood elitists who take themselves too seriously, Nick Cage stands tall and blazes his own trail. Thank you sir.
I love that: "their lovemaking gave him the power...". But regarding the video, I agree! Nicolas Cage is the [acting] genius of our times. Like Van Gogh & others, his genius too often goes unnoticed or chalked of as madness. Oh, and great video by the way; subscribed!
Thanks!
I think a lot of the stuff he’s doing in Vampires Kiss is based on old silent movie acting where every expression needed to be HUGE in order for it to carry across to the audience. If you watch it without audio you could very much see that same performance in a very old silent movie.
Hmm, that gave me an idea to make a video styled and de-qualified as the old silent movies while its just nick destroying the room
He is, in a way, bringing nosferatu back to life.
He's definitely one of the most fascinating actors of all time. He was robbed for not getting any Face/Off trophies.
You just made me fall in love with nick cage now
I see myself in nick sometimes he’s an icon
Nicolas Cage movies are the epitome of is it so bad its good or is it pure genius. I feel like all his movies walk this line only because he's in them. I fucking love Nick Cage
Between Worlds looks absolutely incredible. Thanks for letting me know about it.
I always wondered why I have loved most of his movies but feeling guilty about it ??? Thanks to you , i realized today that those movies were crappy but Damne NICOLAS CAGE made them legend !!!!
This is a man who knows what makes people smile. Also this part made me subscribe 2:01 and then cut to him getting an award.
This video is very well done, I'm very confused as to why it only has a 1,300 views
Thank you!!
the cut of him winding the musical box to him going on stage for the award made me lose my shit lmao
The guy is amazing, he always makes me take a more in depth look at the movies he is in. I think all movies have things that are done great or interestingly. I think the production value for something like willy's wonderland was greaaaat. The visual story telling of Color out of space was so good as well. it had some amazing body horror. Cant wait to watch PIG! I watched Con Air again recently and its impossible for me not to enjoy that movie. I think people who hate on the guy are the kind of people that think cinema is whatever is on the Oscars lol.
PIG is so good!!
Love the editing
I can't believe you didn't even touch on Face Off. That movie had some prime Nic acting in it. 😉
Bro, you have to make more videos like these. They are absolutely awesome! All of your videos are. I don’t know why you have this little views on these because your videos are of some supreme quality.
this is one of my favorite videos on yt EVER
I just found this video and I love you! Finally someone respects the greatest entertainer to ever grace this planet
damn dude this was awsome. ty
Nicolas Cage is a great actor and better than a lot of the movies he is in. Whenever I see a Nicolas Cage movie I will watch it, not knowing what the movie is about. I don’t care how terrible the movie is, because no matter how bad the film is, I know he will give a good and interesting performance and elevate it. Patricia Arquette once say that Nicolas Cage can play anything, and she is right.
Don't leave out Raising Arizone, he was so great in that!!!
One of his best!!
why só few views... great video man!
I'd still say his craziest performance is Deadfall.
I still need to watch Deadfall!
@@confusingfantasy
I highly recommend it. The film itself is nothing spectacular but every moment that Nic Cage is on screen is just bizarre and amazing. I have no idea what the hell he was going for with his performance in that movie, but whatever it was he succeeded at it.
Your vids are good! Shame you don't seem to be making many.
Little disappointed this only has 700 views
He's a fucking gem
No mention of Lord of war? That was really good when he took the role seriously.
He did say in an interview that he refuses a lot of movies tho, so not quite accurate, but i do understand the point!
Long live the King ♥
What about now ? Is Vampire's Kiss still his best performance or is The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent even better ? And Next was my first Nick Cage movie, I was totally stunned.
He saves these crap movies only by being there. I would've never watched anything he played in if it wasn't for him. Still I get really triggered with some people online. Nick Cage is one of the best actors out there and in my top 5 list
Wild At Heart is his best performance.
Best performance by Laura Dern as well, each raised the other's level (echoing their characters).
Better than Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, and Pig?
Leaving Las Vegas is.
I'm sorry, I'm on a Nic Cage movie spree and I had to stop your video half way when I rralized that it's full of spoilers. Will be back after watching the other 94 movies I haven't seen yet
Damn, watch out for joe. I thought it was gonna be a comedy going in
Nick's Sailor Ripley in David Lynch's 'Wild at Heart" was my first Nick Cage experience. He channeled his inner Elvis to perfection. I watched that movie in a small art theater in 1990 and got my ass beat by 3 Cholos walking home alone at 11 pm. It was a memorable evening.
Thank you
I love this dude so much. 🖤
Nic is one of a kind indeed!!
He looks at you like my cousin looks at her boyfriend🤣🤣
That look tho
10:55 LLLMMMFFAAOOOO
100% agreed with you
Nic cage movies are their own genre. And the only requirement is Nic Cage.
wonderful actor
nic cage for the fucking win
Nicolas Cage is a better actor than Daniel Day-Lewis. There I said it, come after me. Cage is the only actor in the last hundred years to do something different with the art of acting. He’s brilliant.
Movies like adaptation and leaving las vegas make me believe they are on the same level in terms of talent.

Raw
He is way better then actor like Keanu Reeves , the difference is Cage is good but over the top and on the other hand Keanu is bad but subtle
Keanu was on the verge of becoming a Internet meme some where around 2010, he was fortunate to get John Wick movie iin 2014 which saved him from becoming a Internet meme for the rest of his life.
Not the bees
Nicholas Cage. The good kind of bad.
Face off! He's excellent as Castor Troy
Haven’t finished watching this video and I’m unfamiliar with your channel, but this bullshit must be satirical.
100% serious.
The guy has been both the best and worst actor of his generation.
(my fave - Wild at Heart).
Just the best!
All hail #onetruegod
You are going to Hail that One True God like everyone on judgement day and His name is Lord Jesus Christ. I'd be carerful with idolatry there. He judges people later that keep doing that.
Hes just doing too much shitty movies ,giving preferance to quantity over quality nowadays just to pay off his debts.
So you are just not gonna talk about con (air) shit
“At first his performances may turn away virgin eyes” …. “That’s the beauty of Nicholas cage”
He's terrible. Like... better than me. But I'm absolutely horrible. So. Ya know. Really, really bad.
Hard disagree
disagree
Yeah not selling me lmaoo!! He's got a couple of good films not many 😂
Face off for sure.
U cant cage the cage
Hs awesome. I rather have a Cage than what we have now. Bunch of dull actors who play the same role/character in every movie
I wish there would be just one high production value movie with Nick in it. "The Unbearable Weight (...)" didn't scratch that itch hard enough. Also I don't agree Cage's appeal is only about the outlandish stuff, his more "conservative" performances are masterful too. "Wild at Heart" strikes a great balance between those and is imo best Cage's movie
Wrong wrong wrong
IIfyou write a terrible script just make sure nic cage gets the lead and it will automatically become meta ironic
Maybe 999 out of a 1000 ….the guy sucks even for a guy that plays dress up for a living
Thank you
