- Mansour Bahrami, Yannick Noah, Henri Leconte and John McEnroe have showed off their tricks while playing/entertaining the final game of Optima Open. The crowd went crazy when the four magicians showed the "imaginary point" (copyright Mansour Bahrami), where Mansour and the other three members of the doubles match played an imaginary, slow-motion point without a ball.

It is incredible. Bahrami has some seriously insane skills. Not to mention a cardio that should be impossible at his age. And to top it all off, he is a great comedian. I laughed my head off!
Bahrami is technically proficient in ways that I don't think the average tennis player can fully comprehend. He's also in his 60's. There are some things to learn from him.
its like how tommy cooper was actually a genius magician for the simple fact that it takes real talent to look bad at something your good at, bahrami is the same, hes making himself look comical at a sport hes a genius at, thats the real talent
Yes, his coordination and spatial awareness is off the charts. You don't see that kind of accuracy in modern day players. They are more about speed and strength. And the way he contorts his body, successfully hitting the ball from the most insane positions, He must be a secret contortionist. And last but not least, is death defying refusal to give up any run for a ball. Incredible. I wish I could have seen him at his prime.
He's the biggest fucking troll in tennis also that's why I love him
BAHRAMI is a GENIUS...the way he can return a serve from awkward placing & with such accuracy, while contorting his own body is remarkable
Bahrami may probably be the best tennis player of all time. Both in his trick shot prowess and his love for the audience. He doesn't play for himself, he plays to elicit laughter out of the spectators. That to me, is not just the epitome of a great tennis player, but the epitome of a great man
I like the guy, I think he is very gifted at what he does, but I do think it is a heck of leap to call him the best player of all time.
When you see the vid, you still wonder how he never won anything though :<
But yeah, in the end, as great of man he is, he wasn't the best tennis player ever.
entertainment wise I cannot disagree with you. But part of modern tennis is to hit the ball as hard as you can so the opponent cant get to it. And watching a match of 2 great players like Djokovic, Murray, Nadal or Federer or Stan...etc go toe to toe in ralleys - to be quite honest is a lot more exciting to watch because of it' s intensity and the unknown outcome. Maybe it takes playing the sport yourself ambitiously to understand that...
I think if Bahrami were to play his absolute hardest with no fucking around (and he were, of course, 20 years younger so he could keep up with the current Top 10), he'd easily be one of the top few. When he really lets a serve go, or rips out a huge forehand you can see that he has a total mastery of the game, but chooses to play his own way and for the entertainment of the audience.
I don't think he ever had that power and athleticism of a Dustin Brown. Bahrami in his prime time was a legit player, ranked among top 200 in the world, but top 10? Not really.
For an older guy Bahrami moves better than some of the young ones, I saw him play a comical match at Wimbledon this year he's such a character to watch, it's great they still play I love the old faces
Jesse4Pink ikr
And I recon he could still beat a good deal of the young ones on the circuit. He may not be as fast and strong, but he makes up for it with an unbelievable technique. It is like the racquet is part of his body.
The tricky/hidden/reverse smash at 1.39 by Bahrami is something young guns and nowadays players can't even think about. Great tennis!
MarioBeart 1:37
Just want to fix that for you
+MarioBeart because its not effective. When you are at that possition its almost 100% your point, so there is no need to make some fancy reverse smash when u can smash it regularly and win the point.
MarioBeart bri
MarioBeart ikr lol
I was too busy watching his partner to even notice 😂
Bahrami is the Freddie Mercury of Tennis.
humm...is just the roland magdane of tennis...
u still there?! It's been 7 years.
Did he die from AIDS too?
So sad that Bahrami was at his peak during the fall of the Shah.
Bahrami is an artist, always a pleasure To see him
Really super fun game with some of our favorite great players of all times. Never knew tennis could be so entertaining and fun.
4 legends. So much fun.
Fantastic tennis skills and wondrous showmanship all players. Thank you.
There's more tennis in these few minutes than in a year of the current ATP tour.
Daniele Brunengo maybe more than 2 years
@@ishaanjani8538 Well, maybe not tennis, but certainly ENTERTAINMENT.
*ADINOISINE TRI PHOSPHATE*
The reason it is such long rallies is because the younger ATP Pros would be hitting winners in those situations thus keeping the rallies much shorter even though it is a much higher level.
Entertainment extraordinaire 😂❤😂 Has there been anyone like Bahrami, ever?
Que genios !! Que placer volver a verlos jugar !! 👏👏👏👏👏
This made my day, best tennis match in history 🎾😂👍
loved this, to me this is sport and very enjoyable to see the players having fun playing in a game they love ...yes as much as i like to see the epic battles it is nice to see the fun rallies like this .
lickablle69 hi 😉
Absolute gold. Would pay good money to watch this... anywhere.
The most entertaining tennis I have ever watched period!
😂 Hard to express how entertaining this watch. *Loved it.*
Amazing to watch matches like these. I don't know who has more fun -> the players or the audiences.
AT 4:06, beginning of the "imaginary point" - Bahrami's face, priceless.
Bahrami is one of the most talented players to ever play this sport.
You clearly know nothing About tennis...
+Dominic Hughes Shut up kid, you're obviously too obsessed with those robots on the tour. How about you loosen up and respect bahrams trick shot prowess
+Andres Ko Bahrami vs Santoro would be a great match. Monfils and Chang are sometimes very sery spectacular too.
Unfortunately he was unable to play tennis professionally through his prime years. I would love to have seen what he could have accomplished. At least now he gets to travel the world and have fun with his friends from that era.
Johnny McNugget no, he is THE MOST
Believe me when I say not even Federer could do some of these tricks. It's like he was born with a racket at hand.
Which is ironic since he wasn't born with a racket, he taught himself to play tennis with by hitting a ball at a wall with a dustpan. He's never had a tennis lesson in his life!
Bahrami is the best trick shot player ever! just outstanding and really entertaining!
It is the best tennis match I've seen
I love seeing matches like this.
I am a great Noah, Bahrami and Leconte fan. I have seen those guys playing demo doubles in my home town Eindhoven (NL). Great!

Noah getting a set of fresh legs in the middle of the point just cracked me up.

I think Bahrami does so well because he’s having fun! He just always had fun.
He is a good player and also have a good skills and pure Entertainer...
Fun fact: He used to be a ball boy in Iranian national team and he started tennis by using kitchen tools.
He is a legend!
Exceptional talents and comedic sense !
Ahaha, bahrami has some great legs for his age.
he's a hottie.
This is not the element of Mc Enroe, he enjoys but prefers struggle. This is Behrami reign, a great show man a superb tecnique. Greetings from Rome Italy
The fitness level is incredible 😯
What a sweetheart as interviewer
Extraordinaire spectacle !!!
what a legend Bahrami
Vaya espectáculo ese señor Bahrami.

Bahrami proved age is just a number in this match!
J aime beaucoup Super merci beaucoup
Pretty talented trick shot artist, impressive. He is kind of the tennis equivalence of the Harlem Globe Trotters.
love it 👏
It's his child like jovial nature that keeps his heart strong. What an athlete and entertainer.
Les français sont décidément tellement incroyables x)
Vive le tennis !

McEnroe competitive to the last! Great entertainment and skill.

I don't know why, but I see Bahrami and think about patch adams ... how much joy ...
anyone know where i can find the whole thing. it was one of the funniest matches i had seen in tennis channel.
It looked like John McEnroe was dead serious and was still trying to win.. He only laughed when he won I think 😂
I officially became a big fan of Mansour Bahrami....
This is better than WWF!
That's how tennis should be.. Fun fun fun!
