Well now significant others everywhere might actually have to answer the question if you’d still love your partner if they were a worm 😂
😂👍🏼
I just asked my boyfriend and forced him to answer lol, he just laughed when I gave him context
@@Ezrara_demon lol did he pass the test?
Lmao
@@yammers8 yes, he'd become a worm too :>
Not a furry, but I know that the costumed characters at amusement parks sometimes wear vests with cold packs in them under their costumes to stay cool during hot summer days. I definitely recommend them to anyone wearing heavy costumes at a convention, as it can get really warm when you are surrounded by crowds of people, and being unable to properly regulate your temperature because of layers of fur or foam can cause you to develop heat exhaustion pretty quickly.
Why you all have to say "Not a furry" "A furry" when you can just start your text, because nobody care if you are or not...@@JustAnEggOk
@@lioninguccisuit I said that I wasn't a furry because I wanted to make it clear that I didn't have firsthand knowledge or experience with this type of costuming, as those who do will be much better resources for guidance on the cooling mechanisms that can be used.
oo def will try this next time!! ty!
@@crescentshaydid you try to wear lentils, maybe you ll see better. My sister had glasses and tried lentils and now she keep them and dont use glasses anymore
@@chosingthelight9283your sister puts legumes in her eyes?
I would have absolutely died if an elevator opened and it was packed with worms 😂😂
Yes same
OPENED A CAN OF WORMSSS!
My 12 year old daughter has commissioned me to make her a worm on a string costume for Halloween and sent me this as my guide. I love that this is so simple and quick. You are so fun to watch! Thanks for helping me out this year! I never know what she’s gonna ask me to make next!
But the mom in me has to add a place for her arms. Watching some of you running around without your arms, all I could think of was “please don’t fall!”
@@rhiannonseabolt9340we actually ended up cutting little slits in the sides for our arms, we just tucked them in for photos haha! best of luck on your daughter’s worm costume! 😂❤️
Literally me tho
Embrace it, become a fur suit maker! But in all seriousness fur suits and mascot costumes are a vital resource for anyone trying to make large non human costumes, definitely a good resource that everyone should be willing to use.
Now we all have to make this and ask our partners if they would still love us if we were worms 🥺
Just make one for your partner too, you know they want one…..
omg, a bunch of wormies at a con!!! how adorable!!! i used to have an orange wormie that i loved as a kid, so i was thrilled to see you make yourself into a life sized wormie--adorbs!!!!!
Ok so I was a mascot on the cheer team in high school (13 years ago 😭) and being in a fur suit is literally the worst. Mad respect.
You can’t breath, see or move and feel as though you’re in an oven and yet we furries love it for some reason lmao
Furries are the most fun, kind, and cool people at cons tbh. I feel safe whenever I see a group of furries vibing and having a great time. 💛
Id make a fur suit if I had space to store it lol
You can fit the body in a vacuum seal bag and just put the head in a box. If you do a resin base for the head it’ll be pretty small
OKOK you (and every cosplayer, or fashion enthusiast really) needs to know about this. I found out about smtg that looks like headphones, but it's actually a fan that you put on your neck. It's sleek and won't be out of place in your outfits or cosplays. You could probably wear it with a fursuit with no trouble. It's a bit pricey, but it beats dying of heat! I won't put a link caus I don't want my comment to get flagged, but just searching neck fan will make it pop up.
Also found out about smtg called mesh yarn, which is great for adding texture to your wigs (I'm doing a wig similar to Dollightful's Sakura doll). It probably also works for making claw clip ponytail extensions. It's used for crochet and some people come up with really intricate designs. It could be great for certain design elements (fringes, gloves, headpiece, idk)
Just thought those were great tools to use that people don't talk about or know of.
Omg that wig sounds like it’d be gorgeous
@@icantthinkofanything798 aw thx! It’s been hard to translate to real life Caus dolls don’t really need to concern themselves with heat and weight XD I figured I can make the ponytails out of yarn and detachable so that I can not die basically XD
oh that is super good to know for cooling down!! I've heard of mesh yarn but never tried it - def a good material to keep in mind tho!
Oh my god ive been obsessed with the idea of a human sized wig like Sakura like since that video came out, good luck bro!! I just know its gonna be awesome
@sunburst3476 is there anywhere I can see the result? (if you want to it)
As a furry, I can confirm it's normal to sew as much of the fur as possible. It's pretty forgiving so you absolutely *can* get away with gluing it all the way through the process, but it won't hold up as well. So seeing that was pretty painful lol.
The resulting worm is so cute though so I can forgive it.
ANd yes, most suits are EXTREMELY toasty. Planning for ventilation and cooling is extremely important. I'd recommend buying one of those necklace fans. A good set of under armour can also help you cool down while wicking sweat away from the fur for longevity. Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Your safety is more important than the illusion of worm.
Isso não é uma fursuit
@@potatonica3235 I understand that. Iirc, in this video she had asked for the perspective of furries/fursuiters on making costumes with fur. And looking at the comments, she received quite a few! That's all I was offering.
I understand this is less a fursuit and more a cute worm costume made with a lot of the same techniques.
I wanna go as a worm for halloween now
I can't believe you and your friends where the famous worms from those videos I watched years ago ! I love the worm cosplay!
this is unhinged and i love it
I’m one from the furry community and I can say, this tutorial and the skills you used quite resemble the process of a fursuit maker 😅
Not really, as a fursuit maker I try to sew as much as possible and she just glued it all down which works here but not for a hq fursuit. I also pattern and measure so everything fits together, this process here is almost without any kind of measurements:3
@@leathepandabearsure bud
@@leathepandabearI can second this
@@leathepandabearyep, they are correct as to what the proses for making a professional fursuit is. You caaaan hot glue everything, buuut it's most likely not going to last long and fall apart, espeshialy if you plan to go to an event, such as a con, where alot of stress is put on the suit due to the constant use of the costume. It's recommended to support the seams with sewing techniques instead of just hot glue, so you are more guaranteed to have a long lasting project you spent alot of time and materials in to. That said, it's not rong to only use hot glue, espeshialy if you are just starting out and don't know how to sew
seeing you as a worm on your own was cute but when you all got together and you're all different colours oh my gosh that's the most colourful adorable and silly thing ever I love it
Shay really asked, "would you still love me if I was a worm on a string?" Lol
Competition cosplayer here on an old account- to beat heat issues I use those stick-on fever control patches. They stay cold for a long time and can be stuck directly to the body, so you can cool areas even if there's no space inside of a costume for it. I'm allergic to heat, so they're a complete lifesaver!!
As someone who wears mascot costumes at a theme park, ice vests are life savers
Just what i need, complete chaos right before bed time. I love your videos! 😁❤️❤️
as a furry, i think i speak for us all when i say you are now an honorary furry. lol!!! awesome costume tho, it's adorable, i would've taken so many pictures if i saw you at a convention.
You know, this is the video that brought me back to using CZcams and I’m not mad
Who would've thought a worm would be your fursona! 😂
Literally going to make this for Halloween ✌😎
Those wanting to make this and not have the string unde the chin, Look up bucket head patterns. it builds a more secure build over the head, so it doesnt flop around and a more solid base.
can give a few tips on where to find tutorials for doign this.
furry cons are a blast if you do decide to go to them. so much fun, and so accepting.
Omg I wish I could go as a worm on halloween lol
Don't we all 😔

Hi! Im currently watching the vid! I always love when you post Cresent Shay! Your outfits and ideas always make me smile!
aw thank you!!
I think these squirmle costumes are really cool! And if afterwards you want to make the fabric into something else it looks pretyy easy to take apart
omg I was grinning throughout this whole video. loved this so much! Also makes me excited to go to a convention again. It's been too long.
seriously, editing this video made me miss cons SO MUCH 😭😭❤
Omg you slay everything honestly!!
First time being first commenter on one of your videos! Love your projects, shine on!
As a furry use a fan someplace in the suit. Like a necklace fan thing helps SO MUCH
The Worm on A String cult is gonna get revitalised by this.
That was amazing. Friends are the best! It looked like so much fun
Absolutely majestic!
Everything you make is amazing. So talented.
I’m definitely doing this for Halloween omg it sounds sooo cool
THIS IS AMAZING!!!
The orange yellow and green ones were my faves but ESPECIALLY ORANGE 🧡🧡🧡
You should wear this to the Met Gala
this is everything. thank you
Loved the costume and love this video!!
As a fursuit maker, rest assured, I also just jigsaw and hot glue pieces of fur straight to the base. Idk how many other furries do that, but I don't own a sewing machine and I refuse to hand sew anything other than my tails because I hate hand sewing :)
You chose the best color for your worm. Traffic cones orange is my favorite color.
this makes me so happy
So fun! ❤
This is sooo cute 😭
Man wish i had friends and tallent like yours. Great vid love how yall wormed it up
I loved this!! Worm on!!
as fursuiter- I love this sm lmao. love the chaotic energy in this too lamo new sub
I have three of those worms hanging from my ceiling fan! Such a cool costume!
I'm also wearing a shirt with one of those worms on it today. Wow the coincidences
Within the first minute the editing made me CACKLE ♥
i was a fursuit maker and i have so much leftover fur, now i know what to o with it
I genuinely appreciate you 😭
As a fursuit maker this is amazingly hilarious, fursuiters very much do sew the seams and make sure its durable and no backing is showing and hot gluing seams is a thing most beginner fursuit makers do and we all collectively see it as a painful mistake but when you just want to make a silly suit nice and easy then glue it is XD
You did a fantastic job, i have been planning to make a worm on a string fursuit for the longest time so this is definitely given me even more of the want to make a little precious wormy! And YES. it gets very boiling in these suits, i once had a nosebleed by wearing a fullsuit in the summer for a pride parade :’)
I haven’t watched the video yet but I already know this is the best thing to ever exist and nothing else will ever compare
lol i always see them at cons and now i want to make a cosplay for it now
OMG i got my first worm on a string a few weeks ago! He comes everywhere lol. I haven't seen anyone make a worm on a string costume before, and the final footage made me die laughing. I don't care if i'm too old for halloween, this is 100% gonna be my next costume
You’re just an amazing person 😂
As a furry I’m so happy to see fursuits help make amazing things like this even if they aren’t furry related.
I love this 😂
This video brings me so much joy 😂 so wormth it!
few tips line the suit with cotton fabric it absorbs a lot of the sweat to help keep you cool(ish) also bring icewater lots and have someone nearby in case you get overheated also furries don't suit nonstop they suit for a while like an hour or so take a brake for like a half hour then repeat
made a furryish digimon cosplay (not one of the humanoid one) and i overheated badly
This was so fun!
Guys wake up, the Queen has posted!
OMFGGG THIS IS DEFINITELY GONNA BE A HALLOWEEN COSTUME >:>
omg i saw that first video you showed of the worm suits a couple years ago, i had no idea that was you! also loved the video.
I remember theese! I had one as a kid and whenever I ask someone about them they think I’m delulu! Good to know I’m not crazy
Best Halloween costume idea ever
These costumes are cute😂❤
You're a Legend.
Oh my god! I hope I see something like this at a convention in the future!!
Girl I love your energy
I’m so glad I found this
That was hilariously adorable! Now I wanna dress up as a worm at some point!!
This is peak perfection and nobody can tell me otherwise.
Hi I have watched you for a little while now and I was to scared to comment but This channel inspired me to be like you and I watch you like 24/7 and I know that it's kind of awkward or cringe to talk to a minor (the minor's me) and I just want to say I love your vids.
aw thank you!!! learning to make things is all just practice - I started when i was younger too (I was 13/14 when I started making costumes!)
I love it.
This video really deserves the rating of 9/10 homeschoolers for almost achieving Micarah Tewers level of chaos. Great job!
this is probably the best l thing you ever made
love your work!!🫶🫶🫶
This made me immediately subscribe
I NEED ONE SO BADLY
For the sewing question: yes, they're just about all sewn. It gives sturdier and longer-lasting seams. Even using sewing for a fox-boy cosplay
A suggestion in case you ever do this again, don’t worry about using foam for the entire tail, just make your tube/cone out of fur and only foam the top half that connects to your body, it’ll have better movement than the foaming process you used for it while still being easy to do. Another thing to do is use a thicker foam to make a circular base if you want the tail to not squish at the base at all. Overall excellent work! For a non fursuit maker you’ve done a great job!
Oh! And lightly stuff it with poly fill!
ur so pretty like actually
I went to Katsucon with my worm dress last year and I'm surprised I didn't see you! I definitely saw your balcony though
i need to make that for a con it’s so silly
I’m 100% sure I can actually make this, and I’m going to the store right now to buy the materials
Cool!!!
As a worm on a string, I approve this message.
thank you for this i am making this right away and the friends i have im forcing them todo it with me idc if they dont and also getting long high boots for everyone
Now this is what I wanna see
You should 100% wear this for Halloween
I don't say this to be rude, it's just an observation. Recently I keep seeing people say "life-size" to mean much larger than the original object. This confuses me because until recently I had only known it to mean "of the same size as the thing represented" so a life-size worm on a string would be like 8 or 9 inches. That said, I am obsessed with this project and I love it.
We need to show this to freckled zelda fr
At first I was just thinking: Wow what a neat idea kinda funny, must be a small channel
AND THEN I SAW IT WAS CRECENT SHAY!!!
Your outfits are so creative and beautiful its always exciting when you post
That is right up there with the yip yips from Sesame street cosplay I saw a while back.
So cute
I might be this for Halloween
