I purchased the 5 Pro and today is my first full day with it in my possession (and on my wrist). I've owned the Galaxy watch 3 and 4 and this is the third Galaxy watch I've owned. My other two smart watches are the Garmin Epix 2 and the Tag Heuer Connect (v3). I love the Pro 5's improvements (except, I agree, the price point is a bit off-putting. I'm looking forward to more time with this watch.
I bought the whole set as well playa. You know samsung all the way. All of this is way better than apple. Samsung should stop copying Apple on not including chargers. Bro please update us with your car. Love all your videos.

The bezel was one of the best thing about the Samsung watches.
Facts
With the release of the Apple watch ultra, I really feel Samsung missed 2 tricks. A classic, and a real Watch 5 pro. 47mm, more pro, and a larger bezel. Titanium colours and black, with coloured buttons.
No Bezel no new watch ... my S3 and Galaxy watch still work.

Everything you said in the beginning is exactly how I feel about the Watch 5 Pro and it not having the rotating bezel. You hit it on the nail there.
Appreciate the update. I've seen some cases/protection glasses for the watch. I hope you doing a video on that as well.. especially at that price point. I'm getting the Pro5, but one thing I loved about the bezels, is it would take some bumps from time to time without damaging the watch..much Appreciation

I was worried about missing the physical rotating bezel as well but having the raised bezel on the pro makes it easier to use the digital rotating bezel as it keeps my finger lined up with the edge. I hate the digital bezel on the "sport" models.

Gap-less bands look way better than bands with a gap
I agree. I spent over 40 bucks on bands for mine just to realize that gap is ugly af. Do you have a link to a good gapless black band?

I agree wholeheartedly, but Samsung’s screwed up the gapless bands bc it doesn’t contour to the wrist and extends the true lug width to WELL beyond the on paper specs. Watch their ads or even CZcams reviewers with stock bands…every one of them has the watch WAY beyond their wrist edges. It’s far tackier and feels worse than a watch with a gap that at least contours
The battery life on the Watch 5 Pro is insane! I'm getting 4+ days with everything turned on (BT model), it's incredible. I have all of the devices from the Unpacked 2022 event, and the Watch 5 Pro and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are the stars of the show. Both are amazing upgrades. The flip 4 and fold 4 are okay, but not near the upgrade as this watch.
The rotating bezel is slated to make a comeback soon, it'll be back.

@@Sal0_o Everything that I normally do. All health monitoring on, sleepy tracking on, no AOD. 4 days and 2 hours on the first charge, brightness set to about 90% on the watch. I don't play around with it much, but I respond to notifications and use the Spotify and buds 2 pro music controls a ton, so the screen is on often. The battery life is incredible.
I went crazy too lol. Not all from the event, but upgrades for me. With the free items included, this year I got the Fold 3, Buds 2, Freestyle Projector, Tab S8 Ultra 512/16gb, Watch 5 Pro, and Duo Fast Wireless Charger.
I was on day 3 at 30% took it off to let my wrist breathe

I too was concerned about the removal of the bezel, since I had it on both the Galaxy Watch Frontier and my Galaxy Watch 3 Classic. I went ahead and preordered the Galaxy Watch 5 pro anyways due to the generous trade offered for my Watch 3. I also switched to the Grey Titanium bezel with a black d-buckle and am getting almost three days of battery life.

I wanted the 5 pro but money is a little tight right now so I could only afford the 5 while trading in my 3. I'm gonna miss the rotating bezel but I'm ready to upgrade.
@@Trippsy05 I'm about to trade my 3 in for 5 pro LTE. Best buy was only giving me $30. Samsung is giving me $190 towards the new watch. Should be about $300-310 after trade in. Less if you're just getting the BT version.

Actually, a lot has changed. Bigger battery on models, 15 watt USB C charging, better heart rate sensor and GPS tracking. Also I have noticed improved sleep tracking.
Look at other reviewers and you'll see that the heart rate monitor on some testing doesn't even outperform the last generation of galaxy watch 4. And the battery life is still way under the competition. Huawei has the #2 heart rate monitor and 14 day battery life on their larger model.
I'm sure there will be software updates to improve the accuracy.....it's brand new, give it some time. The battery life on mine out performs the 4 by far.
The new ones fit better on the bottom. My 4 functions often fail because the curve noes not fit well.

No change in the sensor but the placement is better, it can get my heart rate fairly quickly whereas my watch 4 classic would take like a minute to get my heart rate (cleaned them regularly) and sleep tracking seems better, and fit on the wrist is better, my watch 4 classic would lock up saying I took off my watch during sleep, this one doesn't seem to do that, and with above average usage I'm getting roughly 3 days of battery life without charging, however when I go shower or do something that doesn't need me to wear it I charge it up and usually within 10-30 minutes I get an extra day of charge from that alone, so far went about a week with sporadic charging when not wearing it
I'm too much a fan of the rotating bezel to give up my GW4 Classic. ..It just looks beautiful with a Ringke bezel style and metal watch band and how the watch face design hugs right up to the inner bezel of the watch. It seems Samsung has aimed more at the sport look market this time around rather than the 'classic' look. Hopefully they will bring back the rotating bezel on the next reiteration of the watch.
After a few years of owning the bigger chunkier galaxy 3 and 2 smart watches I like the 40mm watch 5. Its simpler when I work out, less bothersome when I sleep with it and the Bezel less design is slimmer. It compliments my buds pro 2 and zfold 4 nicely and with the trade in for my watch 3 it only cost me 120 bucks so I can't complain.

I own Samsung Galacy Watch Classic. watch 4 classic. Now i am certain of getting watch 5 pro because of the tough build quality and battery endurance. No doubt whatsoever.
Reason are :
1. Fitness watch
2. Rotating bezzel does not suite for outdoor.
3. Trekking and mountainbiking hours without hesitation for 2 days with a single charging.
4. Titanium body

Another amazing video CJ. I traded in my classic 4 for the watch 5 pro and I love it. I dont miss the rotating bezel much. It seems like somehow the watch 5 pro is so much smoother in the os. It feels heavy and very premium. I think for the blue tooth version price. I mean for 350 for their most premium watch isn't really bad when you compare the same apple watch variant which is between 700-1000 and they gave me 240 for my watch 4 classic which i also got for free when i had an offer with samsung. I mean titanium and sapphire glass bigger better battery. I'm on day 5 with my watch 5 pro and I think I'll have to finally charge it.

Samsung also did the upgrades with the Apps and software because the Hiking And GPS Capabilities are Advanced. I went hiking with the Watch 4 Classic and it liked to lead me off a cliff lol. This Watch 5 Pro can do back tracking and when in areas of no cellular service you are still being lead to the correct location plus I Love the Compass Feature and it looks better. I went with the Grey Titanium and I Love it.
Thx for this. How bad is the wristology band in stainless steel NOT a match for the Grey 5Pro? Hard to tell looking on line, but seems only the Samsungs own bands are the choice. I think Samsung should have come out with a stainless Steel watch (in the Pro line) and not some silly grey. Thoughts?

My things is this the OG Galaxy watch 2018 had both a rotating physical bezel and fantastic battery life, so why can’t Samsung reapply the same principle with Galaxy Watch 5 Pro? 🧐

Mine will be here tomorrow. I tried one on in store...and if you put the band a little tighter, it doesn't even have to be super tight, but the rounded bottom kind of presses down in skin so it's not so thick.
How accurate is the fitness tracking and heart rate monitor? These things are very important to me as I’ve become fully invested into health and fitness. If it’s on par with the Apple Watch (my current watch) then that’s fantastic
The bezel is a MUST for me. I work with gloves all the time, I need physical bezel. I can live with the 1,5 day battery on my watch 4 classic 46mm. Plus I still think it looks better.

I'm ecstatic about this watch even though at first I was upset about no bezel but I saw this coming a mile away. However, I work in the food business and wear my watches to work and end up with nasty stuff coming out from under the rotating bezel when I cleaned it. I was so mad about the watch 4. I did a special buy 1 get one free and found out how bad that battery was and sold them both. And I have been saying the same as you about the original gw 46mm. I have minimal usage of that one, which I still have, and the battery lasts me over 5 days (just using it as a watch and step counter and Bluetooth only....wouldn't be using step counter if I knew how to turn it off lol). I haven't gotten to that point on this new watch bc I'm still messing with it but in theory I should get 4 to 5 days under same conditions. Just can't use facer faces. They are quick on battery drainage.

I have noticed a change with my watch 4 classic to extend the battery life. I turned off always on display, along with all the screen wakeup features, turned off power saving mode, and set a moderate brightness. I was able to get 32 hours of battery life which was way better when I had a lot of features turned on.

Great Early Review CJ. Absolutely love the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro watch. I was at 100% battery life before bed on Friday night and have kept it on, using it the way I always use Smartwatches and am currently at 42%. I'll easily get 3+ days on this.
The price point is relatively high. However if any were able to take advantage of Samsungs trade in program, you can get it from anywhere from 240ish - 300ish. Not bad. The tech is smooth, and it actually pretty comfortable. Happy with the purchase thus far.
Seriously that good? That battery life is impressive, I just may switch back to Android this October when I'm due an upgrade.
I have the active 2 watch in which it kept on disconnecting from my s21 ultra I had to reboot and then go to recovery to get the watch to reconnect my question is this? How is the battery life on the galaxy watch 5 44mm bluetooth I cannot find out any definite answers.

Greetings. Im new to your channel and i have to say i really enjoy your views on the samsung watches. I'm also a fan of the samsung watches specially the galaxy s3 classic. How anyone cann't live without the rolating bezal on the samsung classic watches just the way to go. I wouldn't even trade my watch for any other watch out there specially i am surrounded with friends who have the apple watches. I always get comments on my watch compare to their watches just so funny. People just don't know about keeping the original old school look then have a how can i say square watch look. I just recently bought me a almost brand new samsung watch 4 classic 46mm and i have to say it is a very nice looking watch. With the video you made on the watch 4 help me to decided to get the watch. Keep up the reviews flowing.
I ended up getting the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and I couldn't get over not having the physical bezel. Its just not the same and the digital bezel doesn't do it for me. Will be returning and keeping my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, but its great to see the improvements to the battery on the new model
Update: well the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro grew on me after a few days so I decided to keep. It not bad when you adapting to swiping, but the digital bezel will not be used lol

Even with my semi-paralyzed hands the no physical bezel on my 4 is ok. My watch one still has longer battery life although it charges slower.

See, the enticement of the 80-hour battery life sounds great, but I get a literal 3-day normal wear with my watch 4 classic 46mm. But then again, I don't constantly use the heart rate check or step counter.

Reason why bezel ain't included this year even on 5 pro - it's because they wanted users to have a reason to upgrade from 5 pro to 6 pro next year.

I like the galaxy watch 5 44mm. There are gaps between the bands and my hand. The gaps provide good ventilation, especially when sweating. On my galaxy gear sport, there was no gap. This causes a little discomfort when sweating, and after sometime, there will be sweat stain on the inner side of the bands. So, I like the gaps offered by the galaxy watch 5 bands.
Not a fan of the 5. Seriously thinking of returning it. There is too much wasted space for the bezel to be that big and keep the same screen size. If they made the screen extend out to the edge of the frame we'd be having a different convo.
I've bought 3 galaxy watch 4 's. Each one keeps doing the same thing. After about 2 months of use. When I try to charge it. It just keeps shutting down and turning back on. I'm beyond frustrated.
I got the watch 5 pro. If only the outer bezel was touch response. Simulating non rotating touch bezel. So we don't have block the screen. I still like my classic 4. I had to teach my brain it's not the same when rotating.

Honestly, I was already annoyed with samsung when they went to a 20mm watchband on the bigger watch. Now it just feels, to me at least, that there is a tiny band on a big watch. Now the rotating bezel is gone? That was their signature... what the heck @samsung
I have everything Samsung except for the watch. For my watch, I went with the Garmin Fenix 7X. I get 3 weeks of battery life with everything turned on except for the 5 satellites and a 51mm size. So I have my heart rate, pulse ox, steps, auto activity, 1 satellite, and always on display. That gives me 3 weeks of battery. If I have the 5 satellites on then I a little more than 2 days of battery. If I turn all the extra stuff off then I 1 year of battery life. That being said, Samsung needs to do better on battery life. They also need to do better on hiking trail maps. If Garmin can do it, I know Samsung can do it. Plus Samsung needs at least a 51mm size too. They can call it Pro XL. Many people like myself like big watches. The biggest size is a 45mm just isn't cutting it. I like the ECG and other things Samsung has on their watches. I would love to get a Samsung watch. But the battery life and too small of a size it what kills it for me. You should really check out the Garmin Fenix 7X (or even the 7S or 7) and the Garmin Epic 2.

Watch 5 40mm looks best on your wrist size. Didn't go for Watch 4 as was holding out on Watch 5 series due to larger battery size rumours, but due to the other specs being the same and no smaller size for the 5 Pro/lack of a nice looking, small watch size offering, that can still provide a long battery life whilst using GPS for most of a day for hiking; I'm skipping this generation and waiting to see what the Watch 6 series offers.

Got mines I liked the design so never bothered me considering that I wasn't getting rid of the classic anyway (not it will be a true classic lol) I like the titanium build (got the grey one) and I added the matching titanium band so now it looks premium, but not as heavy which is surprising.

The ONLY reason i bought the classic 4 last year was the rotating bezel. Sad that im not buying the new one.
I did not like the look at all at first. But it's growing on me. Sits on the wrist better than the 4. even though its bigger.

based on your review, I'll wait for your comparison video, but as also seen in the comments, the GW4 Classic is still the winner to the hearts. For me, the 5 Pro has more of a sporty look, but so then, #teamclassic
Long time classic guy and just switched to the standard galaxy watch with my preorder bonus. That GW pro just looks too weird for me.

I switched back from a iphone and watch series 6 to a flip 4 and took my old galaxy watch 2018 of a drawer. Tizen still fast and insane battery life. Only thing i miss from apple is the taptic engine. The 2012 haptics in Android are feeling outdated
I've gotten 3 1/2 days battery life out of my Watch 5 pro. Which, to me, is really good. That's with wifi turned off, brightness in the middle (which is fine because it's really bright and clear, to begin with), and AOD is off. That's it. The newest Apple watch that will be coming out is claiming 24 hours. By the way, what do you need 32 gig of memory in a watch for?

Its looks sleak!! Wnen I tried it for the first time, the strap felt good. I like the new magnetic thingy. Im still very attached to my previous watches because of the revolving bezel which i do LOVE. Although I am very impressed what Samsung did to the touch sensitive revolving menu to replace the bezel. Its very innovative to use a curve inside the watch as a guide for your fingers to glide .. to mimic using the revolving bezel.. very unique and new. I like it but im a feel kinda guy and i would say it will take me time to get used to it. Im not saying im not gonna use it but will definitely still use my 4... same with my previous frontier that it took me a long time to let go as well. Speedwise, almost the same..theres a bit more features that makes me want to watch my health more often🤣🤣🤣🤣. Weight ... hmm... it does feel lighter from the previous because of the titanium housing. same for my other watches.. whenever its titanium, its always lighter. Although, I like the weight on my hand.. it does let me know when i have my watch on my wrist or not. Maybe its just me... i like technology but i dont want it to be too automatic.. get my drift bro? its like driving,,, i need to feel that i am in control of my turns.. (manual shifting)..
The design is really cool... i hear you when you said that Samsung was heading towards applish... it did kinda resembled that way.. a bit polished sides and a bit more refined... you will know right away that from one look its a smartwatch... before, like the frontier.. its more a traditional classic watch which i do dig. So far, its still gonna take me a few days to see more what the watch can do and see how it pairs to my FOLD4.. im loving my FOLD4!! it arrived yesterday and its like Christmas morning.. opening my gift from Santa!!! anyway, peace to you bro and more power!! I cant wait for your next videos.
