The Clock / time led dim fix is easy. There are diodes or resistors on the circuit board where the solder gets brittle. Just resolder them by just hitting them again with soldering iron. The time will be clear and bright again;)

I think you need a very hot day for it to unfold properly... like 90+F and also like a 8 hour under the sunlight
