unfortunately she's gonna have to use raise dead or even resurrection depending on how much later she want to revive them. revivify has a limitation of 1 minute after death, after that it won't work.

Vlithryn is quickly becoming my favorite character. The rest of the party being murder hobos is funny, but then she comes along and demonstrates there’s a right way to play, yet she gets nothing but frustration.
Yes, she is absolutely playing the right way. She's a cleric.
@@flushmastercyclonis186 - She’s the only sane one I’m seen, and I am always entertained when she inevitably snaps, and reminds everyone that clerics do actually have direct damage spells.
@@goatkiller666 Yeah, they might not have the flashy AoEs like fireball or cone of cold (unless you have certain domains), unless you count spirit guardians, but right at low level they get guiding bolt and inflict wounds, which are ranged and melee versions of "fuck that guy in particular." And most domains have at least a couple good combat spells they grant.
At least half the characters I play are clerics. One of my favorites was an Aasimar LG Life cleric that I somehow didn't realize at first was a straight up sun themed magical girl. My character in one of my two current games is a Kalashtar LG Order cleric (flavored as being focused on unity and cooperation in an apocalyptic setting) who's basic concept is "Appalachian hillbilly revivalist preacher man." I've also played long term games as LN Death, CG Knowledge, and CG Tempest clerics. I love the flavor of being an acolyte/champion of an ideal, faith, code, etc. You can have that foundational ethos be literally anything, and you can play as blindly faithful, introspective and questioning (even changing faiths if you work it out with your DM), or anywhere in between. This also gives you plenty of starting points for conversations with other PCs or NPCs. Sometimes those other PCs act like a bunch of petty, primitive, and crass heathens. Vlithryn is very familiar with those ones.

Any cleric, really. They keep you alive and most of them are also pretty badass on their own in some way or another. I used to play a Life cleric that was the party's main healer and front line vanguard/tank.

If I played as a cleric I'd probably play a war cleric that worships the red knight (god of strategy, but I forgot which setting she's from).
The reasoning is mostly due to it being an easy way to explain away why I'd only use healing when it's efficient. (Above zero means you can move and fight)

In Battle Royale s, clerics are typically the winners or at least 2nd place due to any lucky rolls of the other player

@wharrgarbl1153 I haven't played 5E yet. I have heard that clerics can wreck fools, but I had no idea it was to that degree. If you could educate me, what type of power is the cleric playing with?
Depends on their domain (subclass) and how they're built, plus a lot of anything in D&D is subjective and situational. But clerics can be quite badass. Vlithyrin is a Tempest cleric, so she has heavy armor and martial weapon proficiency and some fairly powerful domain spells that are themed around lightning, thunder, and water.
I used to play a Life cleric (the subclass that is the "default healbot build") and was usually the first one leading the charge into combat then tanking and kicking ass. By the time the party was higher level and establishing a reputation among the army they served as a special forces team, my character was known as an angelic (Protector Aasimar for temporary glowing wings) vanguard and harbinger of victory whenever she showed up soaring onto a battlefield. The Life bonuses to healing basically let you be an effective healer as an afterthought and you can customize your spell selection to do some pretty nasty things if you act judiciously, even just drawing from the regular cleric list.
