Mayfield KY Is In (Western Kentucky) Not Eastern.
Mayfield EF4. Now known by storm chasers as the Quad State Tornado. You can rebuild structures, you cannot rebuild lost lives. This tornado took 24 lives that night.
Yes takes seconds to a minute to do the damage but years to undo it.
It wasn't a quad state tornado. It was a few news outlets that jumped the gun that incorrectly called it that. The parent storm dropped tornadoes across four states but this tornado only hit two.

Apparently western Kentucky is southern central. Whoever came up with Kentuckys geography drank too much moonshine.

What they are not showing you is the other side of the town Mayfield there is a whole Nother part of the town that was untouched from the tornado
I live in Mayfield. It's nice to see a news report get it right regarding the sentiment of those of us who live here. Our town, like many small towns, has been slowly dying for some time. The tornado only seems to have escalated things.
