  • Join us at Vista House at Crown Point in Oregon’s scenic Columbia River Gorge. Vista House is one of the best viewpoints in the gorge. In today’s video, I’ll share the awesome views and a preview of Vista House’s fascinating history.
As of the making of this video, Vista House is open to visitors Friday - Monday from 10am - 4pm, with a curious stipulation: it’s closed if there are really high winds.
Inside Vista House are beautifully arranged exhibits and hands-down the best restrooms in the gorge. Definitely stop here before you hit those hiking trails!
Vista House’s design work began over 100 years ago, in 1915. It dates back to the construction of the historic Columbia River Highway. Vista House was envisioned as a combination of a travelers’ rest stop and a pioneer memorial. For more on the history of Vista House, see the Vista House website here: vistahouse.com...
After stopping at Vista House, I’d recommend continuing on to the historic Columbia River Highway’s “waterfall corridor,” where you’ll pass innumerable waterfalls. To drive the waterfall corridor during peak season, you’ll need to make an online reservation. Here is the link: www.oregon.gov....
Thanks for joining us at Vista House!
