Alhumdulillah. Very informative. The grey area still not defined is " If you pause a video, you have a still shot which becomes a still image, which people quite often use as thumbnails or use in messages, does that invalidate the making of video's as well, like photography?

Photo khichna mobile se sahi hai ya galat defined in Hindi language
iphone/Galaxy phone engineers and silicon chip designers put in both Hardware and Software and Graphics RGB modules that "enhances" the color/texture/lighting to ADD APPEAL to the picture and hence changing the picture. It is NO LONGER just looking a a reflection on water. Also, the machine is built with 10+ steps to "create" this picture and not just as simple as looking at a reflection on water and mirror because "looking vs. creating/storing" is different.

Assalamu alaykum. He said: there are 3 different opinions.
1. Taking pictures and videos are haram, because there is no difderence between taking or making pictures. Like if you could take an idol with the camera, the idol would not be permissible. For id cards and necessary things it is allowed.
2. Taking pictures is not allowed but making videos is allowed.
3. Taking pictures and videography is allowed, because it is not like drawing pictures.
I cut it short.. He follows the opinion that it is allowed. Sheikh albani and sheikh fawzan said that it is not allowed.

Sir what is tha reason beyond sketching prohibited in islam.
For what i know,people will start draw,then hang the painting,then u start to idolise the person in the picture.2ndly,angels will not enter house that has pictures of living people in the house. devils will slowly misguide human in small manner 1st,thats how histories had shown people started to make sculptures n the next generation started to idolise the statue..
Like the hindus who put portrait of dead person on the altar n start give offerings.. some hang pictures of the person they respected so much eg now we can see the pictures of president/prime ministers or respected religious scholars.. people will start idolising the person in the pictures than Allah swt. That is why we are prohibit to visualize or imagine the prophets faces ..cos devil will come in small way

Keeping dog is permissible only for 2 purposes for hunting and for security that's it..
And keeping pictures on visible places is not permissible like on walls .. and pictures of living things..
Trees, sceneries don't fall under this category..

@@profw.a.wimalaweera6328 you can make an album of it and keep it in your home.. should not hanging on walls. That hadith is about those pictures which was held on walls for honour and respect. Taking pictures is permissible but hanging it on walls and portraying it is not permissible.
@@profw.a.wimalaweera6328 the camera pictures are the same as you're seeing yourself in the mirror except if you didn't used any filter or changed ALLAH's creation just like Snapchat do ... That hadith about painters is for those who make pictures of human and animals by their own hands. Making pictures by hands is not permissible. Camera picture is just a shadow of you just as u see in mirror..

No. In today's world taking pictures and videos is an extremely common practices to the point it's almost impossible not to do so. It makes total sense for muslims to agree on the 3rd scholar statement.
