    There are many professional car scanners on the market, but this one is just a little bit special. Not only will it do regular scanning and erasing of the codes, it will also diagnose every single module on your vehicle, show live data, freeze data perform special functions on those modules but also actuate almost anything on your car. ThinkTool Mini is a fully fledged diagnostics device that is full upgradable, customizable and powerful all while being wireless with great battery life capabilities. If you are in a market for a scanner that can also code your vehicle and modify settings you never thought you could modify, look no as you've found it.

    Thank you guys for watching! I'm really impressed with this diagnostics tool! I never knew I could do so much with my car without having to use BMW software etc. Let me know what else I should review in the future.
    *To make it extra clear, to get the coding, special functions and actuation tests you have to purchase the vehicle diagnostics software for $50 a year per vehicle make*. The service functions and other awesome features are available without any payment.

      If you were choosing between the Foxwell NT644 Elite you recently reviewed and this one, which would you pick?

    • @SimpleCarGuy
      @SimpleCarGuy  Před 3 lety +2

      @@semiprohooker Both are good scanners.
      I like the NT644 because it doesn't HAVE to rely on anything as it has everything build it, but is still updatable. However, it is not upgradable, as in, you cannot add features if it doesn't have it out of the box.
      The ThinkTool Min is a little more expensive and does everything the NT644 does out of the box, but for extra $$$ can also become a much more capable diagnostics tool.
      So, it really depends on what you are looking for exactly.

It’s wireless, touchscreen, has about the same special functions and you can access individual modules and live data on both. In addition to that, you can also purchase all those additional features if you need them at some point on the Thinktool. I bought this tool about a year ago. Worked fine untill recently, the dongle failed to connect! I got a new dongle and after a few times using it, the same problem occured!! I have some BIG issues with their "technical support". After my thinktool Mini dongle failed. They keep asking me for screenshots and video's, which I provided, but still after a month!! corresponding untill now, they haven't provide me with any solution yet. They persist they need a screenshot/video of an error message that only occured once before it failed completely. And I'm not filming every time I use my scantool, so I wasn't able to capture that one moment.... I sent a video already twice of what's happening now when I try to connect. Explained many times, step by step what exactly happened... But they keep going in circles, asking me the same questions again and again! And this is already going on now for a month!!!! Very very frustrating! Support is useless!! I will share this bad experience on every platform possible. So people who are concidering buying a thinktool: think twice!

      @@jtmoney091 We're at the stage where I sent back the second broken dongle for them to scrutinize what's gone wrong with it and they are sending me a new one, free of charge. In the mean time I have activated a third dongle I still had as a back-up (visionary as I am) and been diagnosing some cars with it succesfully, without any issues. I have this scantool for a year now and used it intensely. And it's very good at what it does, I'm really pleased with it and the fact you can choose which brand specific functions you want to pay for, instead of paying the whole lot and only use a few of them. The only issues I encountered was one time they were doing server maintenance and that caused some trouble with my paid subscriptions and history (took about a week). And now the dongle issue. And I hate to go this way, using social media to draw attention, but after a month going back and forward in emails, not being able to use my scantool, this is unfortunately the only way to get things done nowadays... . I hope my 'testimony' will help you in your decision making.
