No Fable?!?đ€đ€đ€
I support the current thing. NPC out.
FENYX IS 1 OF MY FAV GAME LIKEWISE DOGMA :
1. DOGMA
2. A.CREED ORIGINS
3. FENYX
4. SKYRIM
5. CREED ODYSSEY
I am so glad they didn't do first person view for Witcher 3. It was so much more immersive because of that.
@@FightCollective Fable 1 is extremely linear, Fable 2 is only available in xbox consoles, and Fable 3... eh, just no.
As a die hard Skyrim fan, Dragons Dogma scratched the itch I needed for fantasy and simple combat. Although it is a smaller game with about a quarter of the outfit and weapon options, the story was unique, combat was simple, and creatures were exciting. Only difference being itâs not in first person perspective, which was a bit annoying but easily looked over. I would absolutely recommend this game for someone yearning for a unique experience that gives the same familiar feeling that Skyrim does. The only other game that scratched that itch for me was Horizon zero dawn. Huge world, side quests, a huge catalogue of new beasts. Simple combat. I tried Monster Hunter: Iceborne, and was turned off by complicated upgrading, complicated combat, and annoying online play prompts. Iâm someone who likes open world single player, where I can just take my time and not worry about IRL people. If youâre looking for big worlds and similar simple combat, dragons dogma and horizon zero dawn did it for me.
Thank you for the recommendations
Did you know that wolves hunt in packs?
@@spencerprie5088 Tis weak to fire
Simple combat? Its way more advanced than skyrim's lmao
@@shimik11 You can make it as simple as you want
Kingdoms of Amalur was absolutely fantastic and a hidden gem.
Tell me about it!
Couldnât agree more
Hardly a hidden gem
I can certainly agree with that! Though, I don't think the state of Rhode Island would agree lulz
And it has a fun-as-hell combo system.
Nice List, well put together. Thanks x
Talking about saying witcher quotes in real life, when it's windy I always say to myself "Winds howling"
Awesome video, great list and some truely good games in there.
The video went straight to the point. I wanted a list, I got a list. Keep up the good work đ
The brother just don't miss
Facts great video
Great overview, bro! Gonna try some of these!
Nice video, great explanations. Btw love your enthusiasm.
First time seeing your channel and I really look forward to seeing more. The games on the list that I've already played like Kingdom Come and Greedfall I ate up with a spoon. And you have a couple here I keep intending to play in Immortals and Dragon Age Inquistion. So it looks like our tastes run similiar even if I am a teetotaler.
This is a great list of games & recommend them all as their own entity. However, having been on the Skyrim-alike hunt before- I discovered the best thing to do is to just start a new save in Skyrim.. Not what most people wanna hear, but it's too unique to match imo lol. But hey, all the power to people playing new stuff & trying to scratch that itch.
Might and Magic 2 was a revelation when I played it in the early 90s. Wandering into the desert, finding interesting places, people, and loot, only to be ambushed by 200 virtually indestructible enemies was amazing.
Dark souls is M&M 1 & 2 for pussies. Insanely difficult games. In fact, all the mainline M&M games are brick hard. Real trial and error grinds. Wizardry also.
Thank you. Great vid.
Hilarious as always...the sister comment and soo many more are brilliant...LOL! đđ€Łđđđ
great compilation! i would like to see there RISEN series
By far the best âGreatest Hits of Open Worldâ video Iâve ever seen. You sir, are goddamn hilarious!
Man I swear to god the first game that came up I had been trying to remember for along time I used to play this when i was 15-16
Thank you for this :)
This kind of enthusiastic voices always make me wanna re-walkthrough these games couple of times)
immortals fenyx rising caught me by surprise, i wasn't expecting to like that game as much as i did. greedfall and elex are nice hidden gems too. great list of games.
Bought Gedonia based on one of your previous videos--have nearly 24 hours into it already--have really only experienced one build and a fraction of the game content. It is a very impressive experience considering it has been developed by one person. It is getting its official release out of Early Access soon too--definitely pick it up if you're a fan of open world games--as it has a large diverse world to explore, although the story and writing are not going to win any awards. Got it for a couple of bucks on sale.
Absolutely second this! Bought it because it was dead cheap and basically expected nothing but damn is it a great game! It's systems may be fairly basic but put together exceptionally well and you can tell that it's made by someone who really likes and understands this genre. Story is great too. Absolute gem.
I purchased it on november 2021 and to be honest, it's a terrible game. To a point where I can't imagine it getting better. Okay it's made by one person and it's cheap (two reasons why I didn't ask for a refund) but at the end of the day, if the game is clumsy like Gedonia is, it's just a terrible game.
@@yacdj The game is actually very fun, no idea what you're talking about.I honestly enjoyed it more then Hogwarts Legacy.
great list, thanks
Might and Magic Mandate of Heaven is such a great game. I miss playing that with my brother.
My 1st open world RPG experience was 1993/94's Ultima VII. It was a game changer back in the day
Ishar: Legend of the Fortress (1992)
â@UniMission We're still around! I played the original Ultima 1-5 and Bards Tale.
Looking forward to Crimson Desert
Agree! Nice review!
Hey thanks for getting straight to the juice man.
Wow, nice video thanks for diving right into it instead of making us go through a 5 minute intro.
Great video.
Ay I was just watching your old videos last night, wondering when this was gonna get updated heh
it's rare seeing an actual good list. I only disagree with greedfall, everything else is on point :) gj
Divinity 2: Developer's Cut is my favorite game ever. I'm still playing.. I think this game is underrated and forgotten game but you added to list. Thanks. I wish one day Larian Studios will release Divinity 2:Ego Draconis Remake. This would be great. As far as I can see Larian Studios focused on isometric games after success of D:OS2 but still I hope. What can I say. I'd love to see mods for this game at least.
Balders Gate made me fall in love with this type of games. Still fond memories
Very underrated channel
nice list.
after a weak , i laughed at a video. keep it up
Very funny and great. Thanks
hi, nice list but best of the best for me is still Enderal đ
Hmmm interesting. Never heard of most of those. Must try some asap
Surprised that this list is missing Fallout 3, 4 and NV, also Conan Exiles would make great addition to this list.
And the closest to Skyrim is Elden Ring.
A personal recommendation would be Enderal, it's a full free game built in the Skyrim engine and boy it is amazing what a group of passionate developers can create. Anyone looking for a Skyrim fix should try it!
I love that stuff. Makes me feel smart.
Any switch download options?
@@stosh64 Make sure you get the standalone Steam version, there's one for base Skyrim and one for Special Edition, it's much more advanced than the one available on nexus and comes with a lot of quality of life mods already integrated.
Play dragons dogma on pc with an Inifinite out of combat sprinting mod. It truly makes the game so much more enjoyable as the game is not quite finished and it shows in the occasional large area where youâre just WALKING down a path for minutes on end.
Witcher 3 Wild hunt is all time blast đ„đ„
shame but this would not work on my new windows 11 computer
@@marksallai2289 might be working now. Itâs working on my windows 11 laptop since the update (didnât play prior to the update though)
@@chiennation5932 aar that's a shame I refunded off steam
Wow, I hit play and straight to the point.
Thats rare...
Awesome commentary. I was more entertained by you than a lot of the games reviewed
I definitely want to check out Kingdoms of Amular and Kingdom Come, maybe Greedfall. I'm so glad Immortals Fenyx Rising was on this list, it's just so fun, the puzzles that are both satisfying to find and solve, the characters, the storyline, the colourful and magical vast open world, and all the fun combat powers & collectible armor and weapon sets. The silly humor is charming and it doesn't even matter that some of the Greek Gods sound eastern European because it's just fun and stacked with content.
Greedfall is horrible. Don't bother. Kingdom come is one of the best games I've ever played. You'll love it but be patient. The people who don't like it didn't play long enough. You start off not being able to do anything, including fighting. Once you advance the story a little it gets amazing. First 6 or 7 hours is tough. It makes sense because your character is just a blacksmiths apprentice who spends his time I taverns and bath houses and has no ides how to fight.
@@tugboat6940 thanks for the feedback :) shall avoid Greedfall!
@@PaddyLaPoint it's the most shallow RPG I've ever played
@@tugboat6940 hahaha damn! That is something, nice to hear I dodged a bullet on that. You'll be happy to know I went with Kings of Amular basically a few mins after my original comment.
@@PaddyLaPoint man I've never played that but I've thought about it. I was turned off because Kurt schilling was one of the main producers lol. Let me know if it's any good. And seriously play kingdom come you will thank me
I like how you write "Windows" instead of just PC, which would mean it would also be available for Apple PC :)
The Witcher 3 , The Wild Hunt GOTY, is a masterpiece.
IT's wonderful spent 100s of hours in it bur =t Skyrim is still my jam. Character creation ans so moddable. I can literally tailor the game to myself.
Not gonna lie I loved two worlds lol.
I don't know why, but similarly to how I live Piranha Bites games, it had a lot of charm and love put into it.
The highlights here are Dragons Dogma and Kingdom Come:Deliverance also if you can deal with oldies but goodies, track down an OG legend, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. DMOMAM is where it was at, Gothic was good but Dark Messiah has a kick mechanic... đđ
Am greatful that every video been made about this are by personal opinions and reviews....every person i personally know is lifting witcher much higher then skyrim. But thanks for your work on this and showing some other nische games...
Merry Christmas
Otimo video como sempre
AÄiĆ« labai :)
good list
Dragon's dogma was the most unique Rpg I have ever played, so different from anything else, no one since has even had the balls to do something similar
Dragon's dogma world vibe atmosphere combat and style was something I can never forget it was such a great journey to explore that world, and exploration was really it's core, you never know what awaited in in the next turn or cavern but that game really kept the player on his/her toes, such a gem really hope they make a second one
I just bought it , Iâm struggling with it but loving it so far
Oh, don't forget about Fable 1 & 2 for Xbox and Xbox360, respectively. It is like Baldurs Gate in that it is like those old books you could read in the 80s & 90s called Choose Your Own Adventure. Okay, I'm done now lol đ
I loved it was frustrated by its lack of a more complete open world and content.
Here are a few more cool games from my list that didn't make it to final project for different reasons:
Bound by Flame
Elden Ring
Avowed
Horizon Zero Dawn 1/2
Isles of Adalar
Risen series
Fallout New Vegas
Fallout 4
Monster Hunter World
Starfield
Cyberpunk 2077
Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor
Two Worlds 2
Have more? Respond to this thread, share your wisdom with others :)
I might have missed it--but you should have probably mentioned Morrowind and Oblivion--both of which are getting total conversion mods into the Skyrim engine in the coming years (the projects are well on their way to being finished). In a similar vein, Enderal is a total conversion mod for Skyrim that has an official Steam page--it is a full AA(A) experience built in the Skyrim engine (and using or modifying many of its systems). Definitely should be recommended any time you make one of these lists.
Still no Red Dead 2?
đ
Greedfall is so underrated!
I need to play Re-reckogning and the DLC. I loved the original one. I have Witcher 3, but have never played it. BotW is one of the games i still need to buy for the Switch
Let me get this straight you played re reckoning but never played the Witcher 3 brah.
Dude you need to play the witcher 3. Best open world game ever made
Witcher 3 wins in all fields - graphics and sound are top notch, game play mechanics are well laid out, but where it really excels is in the stories.
Love your stuff, Cold Beer! I played Skyrim for the first time after finishing Breath of the Wild. Two of my favourite games.
thx!
Origins and Awakening are so damn goodâŠ. Way better than Inquisition or Dragon Age 2.
The memories
Nice to see Elex here. I love the Piranha Bites games
I love Skyrim, i love the Witcher, i love Gothic. But KCD was for me the most intense and beautiful videogame of all time. The only shitty thing was this bug at 90hours playtime if u travel. But this were the best 90 hours of my life.
Nice can you play the beta from start to finish? I have 3080 to so want to play the best looking version possible⊠thanks
The difficulty of the bow in KCD really drives me nuts.
In really excited to play this game for the first time. I loved Chivalry Medieval Warfare on the Xbox 360 and just in 2022 got my first Xbox One and most advanced console than xbox360.
@@dabeln1 The bow reticle doesn't show but it is there and you can enable it with command console
Nice to see people saying this. KCD had a comparatively small budget and inexperienced team, which resulted in some noticeably janky gameplay. On the other hand as a 'life simulator' it really brings the area SE of Prague to life, which is what Warhorse were aiming for. It's one of the games I show people who think it's all space invaders and they are never less than astounded by the architecture.
My love is to "Might and Magic" from 2000 year. And I've played a lot in Might and Magic VIII, IX and VII. And I try to find looks like this game in modern games. (Also I`ve played a lot in Gothic I, II and III).
I totaly agree with you for DA Inquisition i feel the same way. It may be not the best of the DA series for most fans but to me i felt more connected to this one
I hated Inquisition. It was way too obvious that the game was designed to be an MMO with all the micro transaction trappings, only to get converted to a single player game late in the development timeline. The large world felt largely empty outside of the actual cities/towns, as if there was little point in even exploring.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me know about Skyrim-Greatness games! I am addicted to single player, nuclear apocalypse and magical phantasy games, so your list is totally up my preferences and really a showcase of things I will be investing on in the next days.
Truly interesting, as a long tome Stram Client, I will be trying one or two very soon. If you want, about 2 months from now, I might give you some early opinions (or I'll just keep shut up) đ
Playing 20 of these to completion will take more than 20 years.
Wow, I really played nearly all of these.
You missed Enderal. A free to play total conversion of Skyrim SE. Great open world and a decent story.
âYou need boobs and booze, not some save file fixing cheeseâ đđ first time on the channel and within the first couple of minutes Iâm already a fan lmao
Oh god... I came here to see what other games I could play that i haven't yet, but I might just end up playing Witcher 3 again for the 4th time now but in 1st person...
Greedfall is actually very good
damn i played most of these already. we should have a list of rpgs sorted by 3d/isometric/2d/etc . my pc is old so i could probably play only ones released before 2015 but i still hope there are games i don't know about
I really had alot of fun with Two worlds back in the day. It's clear the game is designed in a kinda Janky way and the voice acting is bad. But it's a very fun and immersive world to be in, you have a lot of freedom about where you can go, who you can fight and kill and feels like a traditional old school medieval game.
Good job đ đ
4:27 that sounded very polish :D. I use that a lot already since I live in a neighbouring country.
Let me guess... Lithuania?
@@ColdBeer yes
So, the same where I live. Actually even your nickname contains my real name in it lol
My only issue with Outward is that it feels a bit empty. The cities are big and impressive but everyone is just standing around. Compare to games like skyrim where everyone has their own schedules and are walking around doing all kinds of things. Then in the open world you mostly just see enemies. There aren't really many random events. But I love the combat, survival aspects, and magic system.
Outward was developed by an independent studio so they only had a fraction of the budget Bethesda had - hence all the sacrifices they had to make like the empty cities.
I agree it is lacking, but man that game is still so fun. The magic system is incredible
Comparing outward to Skyrim is so stupid lol
you are hilarious......love it
Amazing
11:10 Gasp! :O
Those Skyrim mods look aight
I applaud your review. I feel like youre someone that knows what they are talkng about because you are the gamer that others say they are.
soooo agre with Two Worlds coments, Really underated game with an awesome OST btw
greedfall was so fun, but it got played out with the fetch quests and i also really HATE the invisible walls and limited environments, but especially the bottlenecks , also guns are broken
There was also Two Worlds 2, but I don't know if it did better then first.
Me : still roaming in skyrim endlessly
Immortals: Fenyx Rising is a great game that I wish more people knew about.
Outward is also great.
yous my mudder fuhken dude yo! i be forgetting to hit that like button but im getting better my dude! stay cool!
If you like first person pixel art M&M 3 + world of Xeen are AWESOME
an entire world with BIOMES in the 90's plus they are not wizardry/souls hard
Oh and the enemies don't scale -- you kill a high level monster at level 4 you get all the experience and a REAL weapon
Greedfall is slept on
I would love to see a Might and Magic open world game similar to Farcry. It's my secret gamer dream and I think it could be a real success. On another note, Immortals Fenix Rising is indeed one of the best games in this list and the puzzles included in it are really easy to solve (nothing like Supraland for instance). So even if some don't like puzzles but love exploration and open worlds, they should really try it.
I agree full heartedly. I was a huge fan of the might and magic series.
A might and magic open world game would be soo great! I'm a huge fan of the series and its lore!
Would be great
Check out 'Dark Messiah - Might & Magic' It's pretty much the precursor to the dishonored games set in that universe. But unless Ubisoft gives Arkane Studios rights to it, it's unlikely we'll see anything like it ever again.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is Really Enjoyable...I hit a game stopping bug and have been waiting for an update to fix it.. crashing at the giant tree
I have always wanted to try The Legend of Zelda: Fenyx Rising for some time now.
I played Kingdoms of Amalur it's like if WoW was a single player game. There's potential there but after a bit it just gets very very boring as progression seems to mean nothing. Those circular blades though omg I miss those so much. Best weapon ever.
The Faeblades are awesome
I subscribed just cause you are funny as fuck⊠great presentation brother keep it upđ€đŸ
seem I have 50% of these games in my library, remake of Reckoning as far as I am concern I didn't like, same game just more colorful for higher price with some bugs. Good selection of games viewed here. buy on sale where ever possible.
Just starts the video, eleborates, giga chad youtuber
IDk why, but For me, fantasy life on 3ds give me skyrim feeling in a colorfull way
Thereâs a first person mod for Witcher?!?! :O
Dragon Quest XI was fun to play
Downloaded Fenyx Rising as soon as you said character creator
Elix1-2 would be amazing IF they fixed the combat
You forgot the total conversion âEnderalâ. I would put This Game before Skyrim and Witcher 3. :)
