    • @LadyMaven
      @LadyMaven Před 17 dny

      Shut up, they are NOT "fake victims." They have been and still are victimized by the so called "liberals" and our government, who make it almost impossible for them to better themselves. Who do you think provides the drugs and alcohol, just like they did way back when? The U.S. government also, just a few years ago, tried to hand off diseased meat to the Natives, telling them it was safe. Their children, until fairly recently, were forced into "re-education schools," "Indian schools," to unlearn and reject their heritage and language. The children were forcibly removed from their families, taught English and had their hair cut. Many died from the abused suffered in those "schools." Mass graves have been found to attest to it. Today, their woman and children are kidnapped for trafficking. They live in America, strangers in their own land, second class citizens having been forced onto the most undesirable acres of dust, some without the basic necessities of life, like running water, sanitation or electricity. Medical assistance is often miles away. If you don't believe me, go visit a rez. Go to a Native American film festival. See the evidence in the documentaries. These were the prototypes for Dim. run cities and states being run into the ground by the Dims. today. The luckier tribes own casinos, and they do share the profits with other tribes, but it still isn't enough to pull most out of poverty and addiction. Hopefully, this will change over time. Aho.

    It was the Hispanic/Mexicans that colonized the area of North America where the Apache were located. The is didn't gain the area until 1846, and the Apache were one of the most violent and dangerous tribes in the Americas at the time. They had been fighting the Mexicans for generations, and continued to attack and fight the US settlers when they tried to come into the area. The US retaliated and so there was conflict with them for the next 40 years, or so.

    Excellent response and the man appreciated it, all these comments are unnecessary. As human beings we should help each other in the here and now. The past can't be changed and nobody alive is responsible for it. My Great grandfather was Irish, My Great grandmother was Cherokee. My Great Grandfather was a Judge and argued cases before the SCOTUS of the State he lived in. When he died, his wife a native American, was forced to marry a white man to retain her joint property, a substantial amount of land, etc. She had 1 year to do this or lose everything. She married a man who turned out to be a drunk and would often beat her. My Grandfather about 17 years old stabbed him in the hand, during one of the beatings, as no law enforcement would intervene on behalf of a native American wife. As a native American Male he would have been jailed if not hung. He ran away and went to California with his best friend, Tom Mix, they worked on a ranch together as cowboys. As a result, when his mother passed away, all the property and wealth went to his family. My Sister went to the town and verified all of this. Do I think the people who live on this land now or the ancestors of the man who beat her owe me anything. No, they are innocent and had nothing to do with it. Why punish them for the deeds of another. I choose to take the high road. If not for this incident, my grandfather, never would have met my grandmother and I wouldn't even be here. There are families, children, buildings with businesses on that land. Should I emulate those responsible for injustice and invoke injustice upon others merely for the color of their skin. No. I am not a victim. I prefer we do everything we can to help anyone in this country lift themselves up. Love thy neighbor as you love yourself, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. No interest loans with easy payments for education including trade schools, etc. Tax breaks for the first 5 years for all citizens who are impoverished when they start businesses. These types of breaks cost taxpayers nothing as employees and customers pay sales taxes, etc. they actually add to the tax base of local economies where the business is located because they spend money in other local business. Return mineral rights to landowners instead of allowing government corruption to sell them off to large corporations. These types of reforms lift all, and harm none.

    Since time began and human beings appeared, there has been interbreeding among us. 23 and Me has become popular, almost a game with some, serious business for others. Imagine the surprise when my own report came back with 3% Subsaharan African. I was told all my life that my family were English, French, a little Irish for spice, and a great big helping of Native American. Nothing was ever mentioned about Subsahran Africa, nothing said about eastern European, but the report said that was somehow in the majority, with something like 9% undetermined origin. For that many elements in one DNA sample, it becomes very hard for someone to point a finger and tell me, or you, that you owe apologies. Nobody owes apologies. One side of my family is from England after the New World was found, came here as endentured, worked a period of years before they could claim a single cent their work earned. I just found out last month that contrary to Elizabeth Warren, my 19 times great grandmother actually WAS Pocahontas, with Kokoum as her husband, before she was taken to England where she had her other life. And that puts my bloodline on this continent before the very first settlers after the Vikings. Maybe pre-Mayflower, maybe about the same time. We ALL came from a common ancestor, we owe each other nothing but the respect of one human for another. And I don't care what shade your skin is, we ALL had our crosses to bear, and it's time to lay down the grudges and be the family that we actually are instead of being each other's enemy. It's time to lay that particular burden to rest.

    Every Independence Day we celebrate our Founding Fathers who had the courage to go against the British monarch and create their own government. They had a vision for a government controlled by the people where every citizen had the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They also knew the decision to break away from the British empire was bold and would come with a price. But they had faith that freedom would prevail.
    You have the freedom of choice because we all have different interests and desires; therefore, no one can tell another person what to do with their life or how to live it! In order for society as a whole to not only survive but thrive, it needs a diversity of views and opinions on issues such as religion, politics, economics, etc.
    Even an ‘idiot’ has basic rights in the constitution to freedom of conscience, religion, opinion, thought and belief. Even ‘idiots’ have the right to freedom of expression as well as the right to the protection of inherent dignity. Every person has the right to freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief and opinion.
    This simply means that nobody has the right to interfere with anyone’s freedom to think they way they want, to hold the beliefs that they want and to formulate and have their opinions.
    Even idiots have the right to be an idiot and to have that right respected.

    I’m mixed race Native American, my grandfather was born on a Reservation and I will say that I tend to agree with Charlie Kirk’s premise of not needing to apologize for anything that you didn’t have a hand in however I will also point out that people have this false idea that the things that happened to the Native Americans were generally more than a century ago and that couldn’t be further from the truth other than yeah it started centuries ago. I’m going to point out some more recent examples.
    Church Rock Nuclear Disaster, after WWII the government came to the tribes in the 4 Corners region wanting to prospect for Uranium and the Navajo Nation agreed to let them mine in exchange for some improvements made to the Reservation to make it better for the people but the improvements were never fully completed and also the dangers were not explained, this is a tribe that even today not everyone has modern household conveniences like electricity and indoor plumbing so they definitely didn’t understand nuclear dangers. What do you think happened, a giant tailings pond was created at the mine and was left long after the mine closed and when a storm breached that tailings pond it poisoned the entire area killing livestock making water unusable causing cancer in large numbers of people in that area and decades after the first breach it’s still not fixed, they clean it up the way a kid cleans up their room tossing everything under the bed or in the closet, of course with nuclear contamination that kind of cleanup doesn’t work but it’s only a bunch of poor Indians so who cares about repeated breaches.
    Next is the Government Funded Boarding Schools, the ones in Canada that were all over the news a couple years ago because they found hundreds of unmarked graves of children, well America had those Boarding Schools too and ours were just as bad. Kids taken from their families sent out of state forced to learn how to live like a White Man because they could save the Soul if they killed the Savage out of the kids. Basically if you talked in your language they would physically beat you sometimes to death and the same if they caught you practicing anything else from your culture. Sexual abuse was not an uncommon occurrence for the girls. Also this Boarding School practice kept going through the 1960’s.
    That Indian Health Service that’s meant to be a we’re sorry thing from the government is not exactly so great. America has actually been investigated by the UN for Crimes Against Humanity for Involuntarily Sterilizing women who went to clinics for treatment like normal OBGYN care, yeah look it up. Oh yeah then there’s the doctors who liked their intimate partners to be on the very young side. Quite literally a DR would get reported for inappropriate behavior with proof even and the Indian Health Service would just move him to a different Reservation with a new victim pool to start abusing, almost seems like the Catholic Church doesn’t it. Now before you say that can’t possibly be true I assure you that it is but you can always go online and look at the PBS Newshour as they did a lengthy investigation of one such DR and he just got moved from reservation to reservation but finally after the PBS program got involved that DR did finally get investigated arrested and is in Federal Prison but he was just 1 predator in that corrupt system and that crap is still going on now so it’s not old history.
    While the average American has absolutely nothing to apologize for involving those issues the government workers and the government itself obviously do because they were the ones participating in that stuff and I think acknowledging that would go a long way towards healing open wounds that still exist with people who were affected firsthand not a family member or distant family member. Also opening up the sites of those former Boarding Schools and letting scientists come in with GPR to locate the bodies of kids that never got to come back home.
