      I'm hoping they're going to release a poly analog version of one of these. If they did that they would sell a lot! Cuz Dropbox has got that new Jupiter style $600 desktop. I mean they should be able to pull this off. If they were smart I'd be interesting if they did some more specialty products in this line like granular synthesis etc I mean they would have a big market if they entered this boutique into the modern era.

      The only analog boutique sized module they released was the SE-02 and it was mono, I just hope if they were to release future boutiques like a JP-04 or other past synths, that they release fully polyphonic ANALOG boutiques at the same price as the SE-02, going back and re-releasing old boutiques doesn’t make business sense (except for the early models, I mean cmon man 4 voices??) now that I think about it, a re-issue of the Jupiter 8 synths with a built in Jupiter 4 engine, 8 voice polyphony would actually fly off the shelves

    After having watched both the JD-08 and the JX-08 I'm still pretty excited about these new releases. However having both a JX-03 and JP-08 I'd like to say that usability would increase 10x by growing the size of the boxes. Why don't you go for 19" rack width with the option of adding rack ears to them? With a little bit bigger space and nobs (and 43 cm instead of 30 cm) it would be a lot easier using these boutiques. And hey, you skipped the pitch and modulation bars and upgraded to usb-c (which is good since micro-usb was never really fool proof), so I believe there would be a much bigger market for these gadgets by just increasing them in size to a boutique mark 2.
    And this would open up for a full-size keybed of 2 octaves or 3 octaves for the mini toylike keybed (which are really hard to use for someone who is used to play synth or hammer-action keys) and the missing pitch bender. Improve the series by making them a little more user friendly, please!

    • @Ferrichrome
      @Ferrichrome Před 2 lety +9

      A rack format would be great for a lot of these boutiques, they feel just a little cramped for their large feature set.
      I prefer what Korg does. If they make a small synth, like the Monologue, they usually make it simplistic to match, which makes it a powerful little box that is quick to use. Same thing with the bass station 2. This thing unfortunately has the negatives of being both small and complex to program at the same time.

    Well done for Botique series. I'd need some other series as the faders are to small for me. Something Argon or Cobalt or Reface size would be welcome. Just need more travel room on the faders.

    the jd800 is the one i was waiting for but i do wish it had a proper lcd screen for editing or at least give us a proper vst editor so we can really get under the hood and tweak it..the top is missing tons off editing parameters so most people will only use the presets which is a real shame because the full size jd800 was a beast of a synth.

    Question, Does motion record support external midi cc?
    Lets say i wanted to use microkorg as keyboard for this and also sequence microkorg from track b, would i be able to wiggle filter on microkorg and record it?
    Another point, very nice touch having individual step length! Is it possible to change step dividers per track, eg. 1/8 on track b(8bar) and 1/16 on track a(1bar)
    Please please hurry this to retailers, would love to wiggle it around christmas, rather than wait til january. 😁

      "well made" - in my experience the Neutron was shipped with broken MIDI implementation; it crashes every time within a half hour under simple MIDI note on-off. And in practical use the placement of the osc mixer knob between the osc tuning knobs is a UI/ergo disaster, tuning can fly off the handle easily with the slightest touch.
