I decided to make the jump from Meta Quest 2 to the Pico 4 a couple of months ago but the only issue I have was after using it why didn't I do it sooner, the software library is not as extensive but the headset is so much better in every other aspect I'm so glad I made the swap :-)
I’m surprised that our friend Sim Racing Corner didn’t make mention of any performance points when it comes to PC sim racing games, and how it compares to Quest 2 (for example)!

That came right on time from my favourite yt hardware reviewer. Just ordered mine two days ago from Ali (they dont sell officially in my country). Eager to see the sim racing review! I'm jumping from phone VR with a gearvr headset+ ivry for pcvr and hoping to see big leaps!
the Pico is amazing.. I have been using one since April. I just got a Varjo Aero after the price cut, expecting it to be a slam dunk upgrade.
The clarity in the Aero is truly unbelievable but the Pico is far better value for money, and it's a superior experience in many ways! The FOV is better, it's more comfortable (with 3rd party face gasket), it's got bigger lenses, far bigger binocular overlap, built in audio, and perhaps biggest of all is the instant access to passthrough camera. Going to the Aero from the Pico means NO passthrough at all and I feel like I've gone back in time.

I feel the Pico 4 is the best all round headset on the market as of right now. Most other headsets seem to have somthing thats a deal breaker or somthing missing or this or that is a bit rubbish and so forth. The pico 4 does everything pretty well whilst also having some exceptional features. Main plus points is it's easy wirless PCVR experince. edge to edge clarity Pancake lenses and light weight. easy to use. controllers are brillient, tracking is spot on and feels better than my old lighthouse setup. LCD's black levels are a bit better than others. The price is pretty amazing. - points is the face mask is quitr rigid and buyign a third party face mask like AMVR is pretty much mandontory, Headset speakers arnt really placed near your ears, servicable but you will need Bluetooth headphonbes for a rich immersive audio experience, I wish it was OLED, but then again its LCD's are pretty great, bright enough nd colours are nice but a little on the flat side. When I cmpare to more expensive models theres thing about them that just would in reality make me reach for the pico 4 for most VR usage.

12:32 is the requirement of gpu accurate enough as a guideline? I have 3060 but unsure if it's even enough for SD resolution? And how does it compared with Rift S?

And also I an planning on playing wired ,so is there some specific port where the cable is best to plug,like to motherboard itelf etc or does it matter ? Just trying to figure how I do the cable management 😅 thanks 🙂
Hey there. The setup is very straightforward; controls are always pre-mapped for all VR games, so there's nothing to do, it just works. For wired use, you just need a spare USB 3.0 socket on your PC. ITS SAME AS QUEST 3 but at lower price its to darn similar i was hoping different VR company would tried different ideas
How come and you didnt get the pico 4 pro? And how do you think them vs the new quest 3 ?
This unit was sent to me to review. The Q3 isn't out yet, so I have no opinion until I get one.

For PCVR pico 3 link is better suited.Never the less.Pico4 is a cheap standard alone device.
