This video is coming at a perfect time, I got a Mr volcano forge this Christmas as well as a anvil and have been gifted some other tools in the last week too after doing some asking around (drill press, Vice, etc) I'm finally starting to get all set up ive been back and fourth between trying to clean up/setup my shop and being unable to resist the urge to hammer so tonight since i just had to fire it up and i took your advice from the tool video and grabbed some scrap rebar I was given and I now have my very first tools THAT I MADE!! so cool i made a punch and a couple chisels. I love your content and am in the process of binging through it all on the shop TV while i clean ty for not only being so informative but also aware. Much Love & Happy Hammering

I have to stick with apple cider for the next two years, but it makes it taste much better too haha!

Verry nice what kind of wax do you use
I normally use beeswax since you can find it in bulk for cheap, but for this video I used a cheap unscented candle to since it’s such an easy to find resource!
Approximately how big is the diameter of the hole of the opener? I always shoot for about the size of a quarter before I flatten the opening a bit.
That’s about the size I shoot for as well! Measuring it, it’s about a diameter of 3/4in-1in!
@@ToddKoch I make a "church key" style opener out of store bought horseshoes. They are quick and easy to make and if a person has an open framed building I will even give them a few horseshoe nails so they can attach it to a stud. If not it can be used by hand.
