It was always the practice when I trained in Scotland it's not so common now but us oldies still carry it out. We are a wee bit too academic now
*Doctors diagnose, but Nurses heal*. Nurses do not get enough of the appreciation nor credit they deserve. Their job is harder as it requires not just technical skills in medical and health care but also making patients (and their families) feel better and to recover. And on top of that, to deal with death and what comes after that.

Imagine seeing wet footprints at a ward that is still being set up, not yet in operations. An elderly female who passed away from suicide earlier in the day crying in the private hospital room where she was staying, chaos after one nurse caught a picture of a ghost family (father, mother, 2 small kids) at the glass reflection of the gym room at the back of the ward and sharing it with others, CCTV catching a white appartition slowly moving across a small quiet room with the chair sliding thereafter.. Nurses have plenty of stories..😂

I have seen many people in the end of life stage, I have washed many bodies over my Career. The Ebola Outbreak exposed me to many drying people and never have I been afraid or felt anything strange. I relocated Australia and was working the night shifts 1 year ago. I washed the body of a Indonesian resident after he passed and something followed me out of his room but it was a feeling of calmness and not fear. He was a happy man, always laughing with everyone. He followed me the entire night.
How the did spirit eventually move on? What did you do?
The lights in the special lift have to be dim because it is a "cross-over" zone between life and death in the hospital. There will be no BIG shock for the new souls just crossing over, so they will accustom to their new environment gradually. Sometimes, new souls don't know their physical bodies have ceased to function. It is a kind gesture from our human world.

She's one of those with an open third eye. I've been a nurse for 40 years & I have not experienced anything unusual in the many hospitals that I worked at. I heard stories from coworkers but that was just that. Thank God I was spared for I am a scaredy cat.

Teaching to respect the person after they passed away and then using the technique of talking to them to ease during the bathing etc is a great example that you can’t find everything in the book. It is taught true experience 🙏🏽

Yes, it is a rule to talk to the deceased and explain to them what you are going to do in order for them to cooperate with you to be able to wash, cloth them etc.
I have been a nurse for more than 30 years in 3 different countries in 7 different hospitals (namely Malaysia, Saudi Arabia & Sweden). I have seen patients die right before me and I have performed last office countless times. I have never seen or experienced all that is mentioned in this video and for that I am grateful 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Mine 8years same hospital, seen patients die, did last office.. No supernatural experiences personally. But from patients and other colleagues from my same ward, heheh they saw some, and experienced it.. from hearing of chains, sudden gust of wind passing by (one pt passed away in that room), unexplained floral fragrance at 4 am in the morning, kid running around in the wee hours of the morning (security would not come) or cries of a baby from the fire escape stairs wee hours also.
or seeing the doppleganger of another staff entering a room... when you follow into that room, no body..

Loved her storytelling, very easy-flowing and straight to the point. One that really spooked me mid-day hahaha !! Please share more if you have Shahirah :) These are all true about dying people who are in their happy hours before death, from family members who work in this line I have heard many stories and experienced them myself :) On a side note, thank you to all medical staff, nurses, cleaners, and doctors who provide love and care. I enjoyed the stories...some are so touching, i can relate to most of them. I have 2 sisters-in-law who were nurses. One retired as a matron 7 yrs ago. My mother passed away 10 yrs this year, May 1st and the former matron and my other SIL cleaned and dressed my mother. She passed in hospital after 2 and half months stay, she was a stroke victim.
I watched a little when they attended to my mother...how they dressed her. They talked to her and asked her to loosen and bend her arm so can put in the blouse. When they needed to do something else, they let her know and apologise if it hurt, it's something they had to do.
My family and I visited my mother every weekend, stay one night and return home. Her final days, we were there 4 nights, my husband said let's go home this evening, come back tomorrow, just need to check things all ok at home. Somehow I felt, my mother won't be with us for long. I told him, you can drive back, I'll stay back, I didn't feel like leaving her. He finally stayed back too..my mother left us about 6am the next morning. I always hear stories, someone will pass on when a loved one has come to see her...my 5th brother was the last to arrive, around 10pm, on her last night. She wasn't aware actually, my mother was in a coma for some weeks.
There're also stories that a loved one will not let you see him go...I looked after my husband fee months in hospital, sometimes 4 weeks, 2 weeks, even a few days. His last stay was 2 weeks...he took his last breath when I went for lunch at the cafeteria. We last talked with him 3 days, he could only mouth words, he was on life support and 2 days before he passed, the doctor told us to inform family. He suffered from untreatable brain aneurysm for 4 years...the last days were very painful for all of us. This November is his 6th anniversary...Al Fatihah

Idk why this channel came on my recommendation, but I'm glad I stayed. It was very interesting, and yes, mortuary has weird vibes and I know someone whose 3rd eye is fully opened has seen a white figure with super long black hair (floating, its feet never touched the ground) entering the mortuary around 2am... this happened in the 50s at old KK hospital.

Superb confession
Hospital is an ideal place for spirits. Cause no exposure to sun and cooling air cond place.😊 Just have a prayers area so night nurses can make some sandalwood powder,or quality incense stick. No need be afraid. Ask a experience monks to make liberation prayers to spirit, so no medical staff is afraid and the room is cleanse and can be used.

i have a friend who was a nurse at NUH last time . She was working night shift and her workplace was near the mortuary where the dead bodies are kept. She saw a flying head full of blood past by along the corridor at 3am in the morning. after that incident she dont dare to work night shift .
Hospitals are one of those places which are....'dirty'. Of course , it is up to ppl to believe or not!
So are crematorium, old ,very old buildings with 'dirty' history including schools and some even seemingly open spaces like parks, beaches.

I remember when my dad passed on, i have to follow the undertaker to push my dad to the mortuary and it was at the basement, a real long pathway and i saw staffs walking the pathway, seem like some is coming to work, some is back from break. So the way she mention seem familiar to me that is NUH

I took the lift for the dead before. I thought its was a normal cargo lift. One of my mum's friend bring me to take the lift. She used to worked as a nurse. When we was about to walked out of the lift. A long coffin size container made of metal stop outside the lift. We were shocked and quickly walked out of the lift.

I was in the hospital for surgery in 2018 and had ghosts whisper in my ears while falling asleep. There was no one around.

The most frightening part of working in hospitals, is the need to take a body down to the mortuary at night.
The porter will help push the trolley and you will have to help put the body into the freezer. Your legs will be wobbly, your heart racing and your mind numbed.
I had experience on a day shift . I was walking to the drug room when I saw someone going to the linen closet , getting close the door was closed , checked and no one was in there.
My father told me that on his father at death bed, his dad suddenly cheered up telling everyone his brothers and sisters are here to see him! His siblings passed long before him.

Those patients are given the chance to say farewell to their loved ones. Some just go without that chance.

still ok lah.. the most scariest thing for any healthcare worker is a complaint out of the blue, hahaha say something also wrong, or stand a certain way cos the VVIP Patient's family requested so. Those VVIP aka special mentions are way scarier than spirits, cos they can end your career in a snap.

i stayed at Changi hospital in mid 90s & the old man besides me died.
In 2017, 10 Sept. (22nd August - 19th September is the Ghost Month that year) I was hit by a truck while riding a motorcycle. I had a near death experience and saw myself floating some 4-5 meters above my body at the accident site. The experience last 15-20 seconds. I saw in black & white, the paramedics bringing the pat-slider from the ambulance to me, I saw the from aerial view the driver who knocked me, and the passer by who were assisting with traffic control. BUT, I was not able to identify the person accident victim as me. I remember telling myself, poor fella may not make it. I was in and out of conscious at the ICU due to the morphine and other pain killers. The nurse came to me and asked why I am not trying to sleep and rest. I told her, there is a caucasian girl about 3 years old, blonde hair, wearing purple dress and holding a doll in the room. She scolded in my Tagalog and left the ICU room 🙂 Maybe its my morphine making my hallucinate - Not sure. I really appreciate the nurses - They are really the unsung heroes.

Hospitals and hospices are often considered hotspots for paranormal experiences. My mother's large house, which boasts seven bedrooms and four bathrooms, is situated adjacent to a children's hospital, separated only by a nine-foot-high cement wall that encircles the property-nicknamed by neighbors as the "Great Wall of China." During her lifetime, my mother's house was the site of numerous paranormal occurrences. Her housekeeper and caregiver would often report strange happenings, likely due to its proximity to the children's hospital. On one occasion, a friend of my nephew, who is said to possess the 'third eye' and can see things invisible to most, visited. Upon entering the property, he claimed to see black and white dwarfs, or gnomes, with the black ones being malevolent and the white ones benevolent. Our family has been aware of these entities since our childhood; my elder sister once saw a dwarf enter her bedroom one night as she read in bed. It walked in, giggling and staring at her, a story she recounted the following morning at breakfast. Thus, it wasn't just the spirits of children that seemed to visit our home, but also entities associated with the earth element.
I suddenly remembered one nursing home in the North region, one of their nursing staff shared with me that there are child ghosts running around, and security could see someone in the elevator but noone is there when they checked but still seen in the cctv. One staff had her scarf pulled into the shredding machine..

I had a stay in CGH before after a surgery. In a day ward can't remember. But that night, my curtains were closed and I kept hearing people walking around in the ward. Initially there was 2 other patients with me, I thought it was them. I went back to sleep for a while and I woke up again. This time I had to use the toilet, so while walking out, I looked around my ward and realised I was the ONLY one in it. Damn.
After my toilet break, I went back and closed the curtains. And I kept hearing noise on the bed next to me. I know no one else is there but there are just these weird noises like a person is tossing and turning on the bed. I was so afraid. I quickly posted on ig about this experience. Luckily some of my friends were awake and told me to just get ear plugs from the nurses.
I quickly pressed the button to call for a nurse. When I asked for it, she gave me the look like "is it he heard something? Why is he asking for it?" As if as she experienced something before too.
I only had a good sleep after blocking my ears. Oh my. It was creepy.. never ever would I want to experience it again!!

I've experienced voices everywhere. But hospital only one encounter. I need a single room cos im a light sleeper. It was a very loud noise like crumbling plastic at my left ear. My mother stopped accompanying me after my first hospitalisation. I asked her why after my second stay.. she told me she heard loud plastic sound and didnt want to tell me 😂😂😂

Nurses will have a lot of encounters
Not all but she’s pariticularly sensitive. Patients would see more than nurses because you have to stay in one place. Nurses can move around.

I’ve had a ghost on night shift turn on an overhead light as I was struggling to see something in the room. It woke both my patient and her husband. I had to move my computer, keyboard and IV pole to pull the cord to turn off the overhead light. I also had it turn on the electric water kettle and turn on aBP cuff. All of these I would hear a click before the machines turned on. I never saw anything, but could sense that the room had a presence when I enter it. My sense would also warn me where it was in the room and if it felt female or male. I’m not a scaredy cat at all and feel peaceful in the dark. I simply say excuse me and say I just have to do something here. I warned coworkers not to use a bathroom near our RN station at night because it held a “visitor” there during that time. If they’re desperate then I just tell them not to look at the window near the room but the bathroom is safe. Well we had 3 new RNs that have never heard my warning and had experiences in that spot. They saw a lady that they thought was a patient standing by the window and they tried to tell to return to their room. As they were about to call out to the lady, she just vanished. We had a popular clairvoyant patient who made a comment to our unit that I have good control of my 3rd eye and could set boundaries. We were standing in a group and she was getting discharged. I was never her nurse. My coworkers were shocked that the clairvoyant had said that about me as they all knew I could sense things. I tend to dream about things and had strong control in my dreams. It always felt like a really strong urge to look away or leave if I could sense danger. My instincts grew when I married my husband who can actually see and hear them. He would get followed and bothered at home since he was young. But since we lived together, the spirits stopped following and bothering him at home. He always says I’m his shield. He is a corrections officer and he sees bad entities and human spirits in jail all the time. He’s learned to set boundaries and pray constantly for spiritual strength.

No. I m a nurse, will never bff a ghost. To me they are demonic able to transform themselves into forms to get your attention. Always pray for cleansing of my spirit, mind, body n space around me. Not all dying patients would see things. Some would, then we would get xxx to bless the soul..send them out.
In night shift sometimes nurses take a nap,we are told not to remove our nurse cap.that’s our authority

It is believed in Buddhism when they (med staff) passed on, they will automatically go to realm of Heaven bcos of their deeds.

My dad was hospital porter, he and his friends along with the nurses knew bed 4 is dead man😂. My dad was funny, nurses loved him he could make them laugh cos night shift was the scariest for the nurses. Moment the buzzer went off at 11:30pm the nurse will say call mortuary staff, my dad will go they will wait, tap will run in the shower no patient bathes so late. Literally hear a bucket move in the hallway no cleaners at 11:45pm, by 12pm machines go off , nurses check bed no4 is now prepared to go to the mortuary. The nurses clean the body my dad n his friend will wheel the px. Exit to the mortuary was long, cold, just near the entrance they will literally hear gurgle sound from the patient(px). My dad will light his cigarette shouting bhatia, bhatia😂.. There was always strange things in the mortuary as well. Eg pathologist that passed away due to old age. He used to do emergency postmortem, for government. My dad will hear his voice n see him move near the steel table that room light will flick when touched once, due to the sensor, comes fully on after a minute. He will say come now, bring the body, call out my dad name. My dad will say bhooth, his friend say what! My dad will say dr bhoot.. then the friend knew it was real.. Nurses will wait for my dad to come back. He will go back n say dr swaminaran is back😂😅 aka dr bhoot.. As a kid you think it’s fake, but growing up I heard it more.. saw his eyes it was true. Seen some stuff on my own ..Real
I saw in hosp when I was hospitalised in 2021. Not scary as I had also encountered in hotels and home.
seems like after our death we all will become a prankster . Because no one ever gets hurt from these encounters , just like a good prank .
