You find words meaning the same thing among Kenyan Bantus - Mino, Mukongo, Litoyi, Lolemi (Could be Lulimi in Kenya) , etc. We are all brothers and sisters - that is why Congolese who move to Kenya don't go anywhere because they have found their lost lost brothers and Sisters. Reminds me of the song ' Nakei Nairobi....'

In Bemba, the most widely spoken language in Zambia (51%) we say 'Abantu' to mean People, Umuntu ( Singular for a person) and when we say Ubuntu, we mean homo sapiens of Black/ African decent. 'Ilinso'=eye, eyes= Amenso, Ilino= Tooth, ameno'=teeth, Tongue='Ululimi', Tongues= Indimi, Hand='Ukuboko', Hands= Amaboko, Kid/child= Umwana, Children='Abana', Witch/wizard= Indoshi ( Singular) and plural ( Abaloshi), Stomach = Amala ( both Plu. or Sing.) Hair= Umushishi ( both plu & sing.) Leg = Ukulu, Legs=Amolu, (My name is Bob...Nine Bob...) That one = Uyu...These ones ( if refered to People) = Aba ( if near) and if further away, we say ...Abo. Beautiful/ Handsome/ cute = Umusuma...ugly = umubi....(Truly these are bantu languages

@@chilekwak.chilekwaii4960 note that in lingala the prefix 'ba' is used for the plural form and the prefix 'mu' for singular.

WOW!!!! 😅😅😅 Now I can officially blame most African migrants including Congolese or (so-called Foreigners) in South Africa for Zenophobia because you kept the ONE thing that could have United us earlier to yourselves (Language). You made the job difficult for some of us who were on your side.
I first picked up similarities in our languages from reading "INDABA MY CHILDREN" by Credo Mutwa and also the power bestowed on the Congolese People and the geographical importance of Congo to the world.

Mugongo means throat in Lingala; Mgongo means back in Swahili. Both are Bantu languages but I wonder how the meaning switched.

Most Bantu communities have their origins in Congo, l seriously wanna return to the land of our forefathers, coz it's natural for a Bantu to get along with another Bantu. Where we come from Nilotes and Bantu never see eye to eye.
