London Grammar are so underrated
How can they be underrated . Their debut album got to Number 2 in the UK charts. There next 2 albums got to number 1. They fill out medium sized venues in hours. They headlined the Park stage at the recent Glastonbury (2024). They filled the tent venue out at GB 10 years ago. They are now playing even larger venues !
@@keithbate9405 Taylor Swift has 2 billion plays on one of her 2019 songs while LG has 37m plays on their top played 2021 song. Not that I'd ever want them to be that big or attract a fanbase like that, what a nightmare.
@@keithbate9405the fact that they are not internationally recognised means that they are underrated. I can say they are more wellknown amongst indie listeners, not popular enough in the world.
@@hb0x They have just announced a tour that involves the largest venues in the UK eg the O2 in London.
From the word go they were popular in Australia . They were the "big ticket" at the South West festival in Austin, Texas years ago !
Yes they are not as popular as the big pop acts nor the established rock acts. But they are not making music like the former . Nor have they been around as long as the later.
@@keithbate9405 please, O2 is still the UK, Australia is only 1 country. Florence and the Machine achieved all of that and more, headlining Gladston, multiple Grammy nods yet they are still by definition "underrated". Nothing wrong with being underrated, as long as we keep promoting and loving them.
Being able to just stand there and sing to that level must feel amazing.

They have toured a number of times and will no doubt tour the new album (out in September ) too. Look out for dates and tickets. They will sell out very quickly !

Ms Carpenter is not really on my listening radar.. so went and checked the original out. LOVE with London Grammar did with this.. a song that works quite well stripped down LG style.. and done in the original full pop style

I love her voice but the music they produce isn't great in my opinion. They have so much more potential. However, this is one of their best performances 👌

@laurenstevenson9024 I've never wished success on a band like I have London Grammar. I somehow get the feeling that they have suffered because they don't follow 'the rules' of the industry. Hannah and the band are not willing to sell their souls to the devil x

Lmao when you realize how dumb the lyrics actually are when sung without all the pop music effects 😂😂😂
It's not that they're dumb, they're playful and meant to be light and silly. That's why the actual production of the song works, and this doesn't. They knew what they were doing and a song with those lyrics isn't meant to take itself this seriously.
I actually think the lyrics are incredibly witty. I mount and do it for you (but sounds like the drink) and her Honey B(arry) etc I think this song has really clever lyrics
