The client would have provided the designs(even if they didn't, the iffel tower is one of the most common 3d models,it took maybe 5 minutes to find a decent model of it). Most of the time has to be heating edges and waiting for it to cool. I would think maybe ~20 man-hours with at least 24hrs of CNC machining.
Also probably a paid contract for promotion with the Olympics, I don't think he did this for fun. And a 1-minute short makes sense when it contains the parts 90% of people want to watch, and only takes 1-2 hours to edit (he used lots of effects, but could have gone shorter) instead of 5-6 or more for a full-length video.
It’s not only beautiful what he does but it’s just breathtaking I end up watching each video he does about 5-7 times just to see the magic over and over
