@@charlesmciver897 EXACTLY! Hit the nail right on the head. By that logic, might as well stick to cooking on a camp fire instead of on a stove. WIth that said, he is right that the constant yearly upgrades is irrelevant if you have not already maximized what you already have. For instance, upgrading your iPhone every year is nonsensical due to its very limited upgrade specs. DJI makes more sense as the upgrade is a big leap forward.
We should ignore the fact that the new mini 4 pro version will receive new firmware updates with new features that aren't available in old mini 3 pro version.

Perfectly said. Sadly every reviewer I've seen so far who got this drone from DJI always seem to say "oh it's just a small price increase , just sell your M3Pro and pay a couple hundred bucks, it has newer features etc etc". Which is the same thing they've been saying for every new drone releases. Of course newer is gonna be better and prettier, but if I just think these reviewers are starting to miss the mark on consumer friendly practices.

Thanks for explaining all the improvements, very detailed and easy to follow. When you were showing the new 'Active Track' circle allowing to draw how the drone should circle you, I immediately thought how cool it would be if DJI made an Apple Watch app that allowed you to do the same. Imagine sending up the drone, tracking yourself, then putting the controller in your bag when out for a walk and still being able to adjust the flight path!

How is the "wind" performance?..I take it similar to the Mini 3Pro?..now have to decide wether to grab this Mini 4 Pro or the Air 3?..might be leaning to the Mini 4Pro?..that new Active 360 with the inner and outer ring option is really cool!..haha Any improvement on the ascend and descend speed?..guess it doesn't beat the Air 3?..Wait it has the update with the "return to home AR" from the Mavic 3PRo..oh man I guess it's the Mini4PRo for my choice then!..haha but at the same time why didn't DJI have this "firmware" update to the AIR 3 already?..

For my hobby use, I feel the mini 2 is more then good enough! But if i ever make enough on content creation to upgrade the drone, i think this is just enough to upgrade! Mini 5 here i come! 😂🎉
Great video Jeven, just got my mini 4 pro so far really love it. Question, flying at night, do you know if obstacle avoidance would still work. I know with the Skydio you can't really fly at night unless you fool the drone.

Does the lightweight mean you don't have to worry about geo zones where ever you fly? Those get annoying.

Hi, will the ND filters for the mini 3 fit the camera socket on the mini 4? Also, are the spare rotors identical to the mini 3? I have the Fly More (bought with my mini 3 pro) pack you see and don’t really want to buy another fly more pack for the mini 4 if those accessories are identical and compatible. The lens mount on the 4 is different to the 3, so unfortunately you and I can't use the ND's from the 3. Looking forward to DHL coming up the drive, with my one.
@@dave20thmayI wonder if the strong vignette was fixed. The Mini 3 Pro did add lots of gain to the corners (quite noisy) to compensate.
Will check that out tomorrow. Answering an above, the props look identical. I know one thing that the DJI Mic plugged into the new controller worked just great. @@DennisSchmitz

So … better imaging with the same sensor. But other then that let’s see what the price drop looks like on the Mini 3 Pro. Is full obstacle avoidance good or not? Does it make one less of an attentive drone pilot??
No question some super slick updated features just wondering whether they merit the cost. Especially in today’s economic climate in many geographies.
It does if you are a solo creator. It also makes sense because even the most attentive pilots still make mistakes. Having 360 sensors ensures your expensive drone and footage will not be lost.
@@joer8386 I get it but it ain’t inexpensive even with slotting it in at essentially the same price as the non-discounted Mini 3 pro. It is a compelling offering and I’d not be happy if I had recently bought the model it’s replacing.🤑😨😡

Also, How can I add audio and multiple videos into one post for youtube via mobile device? Like creating a reel is super easy add videos photos and pick sound but im having trouble efficiently posting youtube size video with audio or multiple video in one for example.... HELP!!!

Excatly. In 2-3 months mini 4 pro will be same as mini 3 pro. One extra sensor is not a big plus.

It can go higher but 120m is the legal limit

Yeah, I had my eyes on the Mini 3 pro. It only makes sense to get the Mini 4 pro if the price difference is only $50.

It's not a 1 1/3 inch sensor. It's a 3/4 inch sensor. 1 ÷ 1.3 = .76 inches. Just like 1/2 = 1 half inch. 1 ÷ 2 = .5

With 20km of range, such form factor, low light tracking and such obstacle avoidance system it seems like it can help a lot with war in Ukraine and guerilla warfare in other countries.
Well, it all depends on how fast this drone can go. If not, it will be shot down from the sky.

Okay, here's my controversial hot take on this drone. First of all, thank you very much for making this video. So here it goes, this drone has a feature that I have been waiting for on all my other past DJI drones. One of my biggest issues I've had with my past drones is that whenever I selected myself for the Drone to track, it would automatically fly to about 9 or 10 ft above me, and then it would start tracking/following me. This would always get super annoying because it was the stereotypical Drone footage angle that everyone could tell was being shot by a drone. I understand that DJ I did this because it was a safety feature for vehicles and humans getting in the way of the drone. Also made your footage look horrible whenever you attract someone, or track yourself. It wasn't that typical camera footage of someone recording you at chest level like what you see in movies or on television. So when the Drone flew at nine or ten feet, it looked absolutely horrible. The newly designed focus tracking option "Near ground flight", FINALLLY means you get get the natural camera angle as if someone is holding a high end hand held DSLR and recording you! I LOVE THIS! But it doesn't end here. Another issue I had was when you selected yourself for the Drone to track Not only would it start flying about 3 or 4 ft above you, but it would also distance itself from you wallet tract you. Again, another safety feature, I understand. But now, having the ability to adjust snd bring the drone closer to you while it follows/tracks you makes this drone so valuable.
This drone, because of those updates to adjust the height and tracking distance to the subject, has essentially voided the cameraman that has to follow you as a creator. This drone just fired your second employee. INSANE.
I am still going to get the mavic 3 Pro, but I am sure these features will also come in a firmware update in a couple of months. I'm totally fine with waiting. I need the video quality of the mavic 3 Pro, but I need the tracking features of the Mini 4 Pro. Good job DJI!
