Love this fugue of Bach. Thank you.
Outstanding...that final pedal entrance is worth waiting for!
Bella!
This is truly Bach's greatest! Whilst the recording of the middle bit is a bit muddy [due no doubt to the acoustics] the prior entry of the pedal and the rising end always makes my hair stand on end!
this performance and registration validates g donald harrison's concepts in american organ design; the pronounced quints in the plenum serve the contapuntal writing well; the registration validates harrison's ideas for a big space. the texture is clean and clear also the choice of stops insiteful by the performer
One of Bach's greatest fugues (Prelude is great, too). Pity about the reverberation time in the church - made it difficult to follow the theme at times.
Wonderfully played but seems to be too much flute. Listen carefully.
Difficult to hear the Fugue clearly ! U started off ok but when u reached the page where the fugue goes into quavers it was too fast. I just couldn't even make out the detail given the time reverberation of the building . Sorry to sound negative but it was uncomfortable to listen too.
The middle section is played far too quickly for this acoustic. I had to give up listening, which I rarely do
