Palworld is an action-adventure, survival, and monster-taming game hybrid created and published by Japanese developer Pocket Pair. The game is set in an open world populated with animal-like creatures known as "Pals". The players can battle and capture Pals in order to use them for base building, traversal, and combat. Palworld can be played either solo, or online by up to 32 players on one server. Announced in 2021, it was launched via early access for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in January 2024.
The game's comedic premise, which involves using firearms and equipping Pals with them, earned it the nickname "Pokémon with guns". Other elements, such as using creatures for food or placing them to work in mines and factories, have also garnered attention.

The fact that I didn't even attempt to capture a human because the idea sounded so outrageous yet Kevin does it IMMEDIATELY is very tellng.
I’m just imagining entering a Pokémon battle and one trainer goes “I choose you, Raichu!” and the other trainer grabs his Poké Ball and shouts out “Go, Larry!” and a middle-aged man pops out.
I’m going to assume most humans would be some combinations of Normal-type, Fighting, or, on rare occasions, Dark.

More that capturing them, the ridicoulusness of how, after trapping them, they start working for you like any other pal is amazing. Its not even illegal in their society, its just frowned upon. You cant asault someone and beat them to death, thats ilegal, the death penalty for you. But beating them to within an inch of their lives and then capturing them to slave them away forerver? Thats fine, thats out of my jurisdiction. Best game of the year right there.

Yeah, it happens all the time. Eating disorder is one of the random results of them being stressed too long and once they have it they're just always overfull, no matter what.
I want more of Evil in Palworld, I know Kev doesn't do series but recurring episodes like Project Zomboid, Fable, ZERO Sievert, etc. would be fantastic

When I first experienced the character creation I knew Kevin would make a work of art.
I was weirdly happy that Kevin picked the same spot for his first base as I did. It really is a pretty nice spot.
Pretty sure that 95% of all players chose that spot as their first base, with its abundant resources and that fast travel thingy nearby.
Ive noticed some other streamers/youtubers accidentally find themselves at other spawn areas (dying and respawning somewhere else on the map) and they just arent as good as this starting area cause this is the only place to find berry bushes and those are really important to find early on. I had zero worries needing food because of them. Plus, yeah great spot for raids when they come up - Ive found they only come from one directions and its easy to shoot at them from above the cliff before they even come close to the base.
@@jazzjazzington8244actually there are berry bushes near all spawn points, you just need to look for them, and in the case of the islands to the right, THERE ARE TOONS (around 40) of berry bushes inside the forest

It really took me off guard! Like damn, Pokemon does so much to avoid digging into the implications of what is basically a society based on animal abuse and legal dog fighting and this game just explicitly leans into it apparently.

This is the Pokemon game I've wanted for about 25 years now, but Nintendo/Game Freak refuse to make.
It is glorious!
The Paldeck entries for some of them are absolutely hilarious, my favorite so far being the one for the cow pal.
Also, the map is MASSIVE. I've already maxed out my capture power, am over level 30 (50 is cap), and have only seen about half the map, despite being an exploration freak with a flying wyvern mount. The progression in the game is pretty solid. If you hit an Exp wall, start capturing/buying/hatching pals you haven't gotten 10 of yet. There's so much to do and explore; doesn't feel grind-y if you understand the game loop, though getting ore for ingots is a tad tedious.
I also recommend getting your stamina to 200 as fast as you can. Stick a point in health, and 2 in carry weight, then dump stamina next 10 levels, if you love to explore.
I also love the chill PvE with my buddies on our private server. We're hoping PvP is done right, like you have to challenge, and they have to accept. My buddy already built a "gym" castle with an arena at the top of the castle, lol! He calls himself "Professor Spooky," and looks like a late 1800s gentleman with his top hat and beard. His plan is if you beat him, he will reward you with a rare pal. Player character gym leaders is one of the coolest things that could come from this game!
This game is already so good, with tons of room for additional potential!
I could probably honestly watch Kevin play this for hours. I want more!!
