    I think a good rule to follow for everyone planning on purchasing a new commercial ice machine is: "If you're going to have only one ice machine, don't make it an Atosa"

    Maybe since it didn't touch the way it looked like it blew out you think it had a power surge! You're still very smart by putting the tape behind it just in case it came in contact with the metal wall of the machine. Unfortunately there's nothing I can say to you this time to give you hard time. You did a wonderful job! I'll leave this offhanded comment to your wife. She can give you hard time on this one. We got to let her do it once in a while.😂🎉

      No power surge, the solder joint cracked and arced. Between bad caps and cracked solder joints, that makes up 50% of the repairs I make on electrical / electronic devices.

    Surge protectors should be standard equipment for anything with a board.

    Resolder that power connection and you have a good test board.
