  • How to shoot long exposure in daylight !??
    ND filters that's how!
I got this one right here in the video.

You might have seen long exposure photos of cars with their streaking lights across the frame at night time but is it possible at day time?
Long exposure , slow shutter speed, photography tutorial.
The secret is ND filters, 10 - stop in this case.
Helps us shoot at very low shutter speed when the ambient light is too high normally.
Also allows us to shoot video in wide open apertures in broad daylight. It's too bright to shoot video in daytime with low shutter speed so this fixes our problem!
Follow me for none of these pics.... Because I do portraits and probably will never post landscape.
    Product Link (about 40 bucks)
6-stop ND filter (Beach shoot and also landscapes in Vancouver video)

    -------EQUIPMENT----------
I am going to list all the equipment I use on these videos. Some might make an appearance in this video, some might not. But here they are if you are curious.
If you buy from these links i get a few dollars. Support this channel by buying through these links, that way i never have to put ads on my videos!
    --------------Drone
    DJI Mini 2 amzn.to/38C2div
The cheapest and most popular and just gets the job done. If you see drone shots, it's this lil guy.
    --------------Cameras:
Nikon D750 was used for this video but it is no longer on sale...and I have moved on to the Z system. Nikon for life.
    Nikon Z6. amzn.to/3wHm6wO
The first one is much cheaper since the version 2 came out. So worth it if you don't mind only one card slot. Great Camera!
    Nikon d7100. amzn.to/3NnJ9mR
A bit old but still gets the job done. Best money you can spend before going full frame!
    GoPro Hero 8 Black. amzn.to/3LlvF9H
Used for some vlogging. Used to use an action camera knock off, but once you go GoPro you see what you've been missing out on. No need for gimbals, great mic quality too and obvi timelapses.
    --------------LENSES:
    Sigma 24mm f/1.4 ART lens amzn.to/3LvOFCp
(Main vlogging setup in 2019 onward videos) If you see a good shot that's not a go pro and has a blurry background, chances are it's this baby. So silky smooth and great for vlogging if you don't mind the weight.
    Nikon Z 50mm 1.8 s . amzn.to/37WNgY5
This lens barely leaves my camera for actual work. It's just so crisp and perfect and that auto focus is the best Nikon has so far.
    Nikkor 35mm 1.8G amzn.to/3wzqGyl
Works great if you don't have full frame
    Nikkon 85mm 1.8 for Z amzn.to/3yOS1xN
I still use the 1.8d but it's discontinued, this is for the smoothest boehkieesstt of shots
    Nikon 50mm 1.8D amzn.to/3wBeEmD
BEST BANG FOR BUCK RIGHT HERE! Works with DX & FX!
only 100 bucks brand new. I don't understand why these are so cheap. It will be your main lens on your camera most of the time.
---------------AUDIO OF LIVE NARRATION (usually) RECORDED WITH
    ZOOM H1n - amzn.to/3yHo2HZ
I usually have this in my pocket with a lapel mic so i can record my voice when i'm far from the camera. Even when close, it is much much cleaner audio than whatever your camera is capable of.
    With LAPEL MIC amzn.to/3wnH4lk
69% off with this link right here, right now!
Rode Shotgun Mic - Videomic GO amzn.to/3PvKFoM
Cheap, to the point, don't need batteries, no on/off switch. Put this on top of your camera and just GO....50 bucks off from this link!
    Rode NT-USB Mic amzn.to/3wEE4A1
Any overdubs that sound really clear are recorded with this thing
You can get the Rode NT-USB mini for a cheaper price and smaller frame.
    amzn.to/3NlSn38
    -----------------OTHER accessories:
10-STOP ND FILTER FROM GOBE (long exposure in daylight video)
    amzn.to/3FV6B8o
(make sure to check your filter size)

I'm just new to 📸 and have been really enjoying it. I started because I fly paramotors and wanted to be able to start sharing and documentin memories. Now I really want to learn long expose shots so I can do the SpaceX rocket launch since I live in florida. I was wondering how I could do long expose during the day. Very informative video and if you ever come to Florida and wanna get some shots let me know. Thanks for the great videos, like all the little humor you throw in

Thanks for the info about the ND filter! Have a project for a class at university that involves multiple/long exposures and I had some questions regarding shooting in daytime. Much appreciated!

I really don't get how you can do long exposure in daylight without getting over exposure shots, blown out highlights!
