  • In this video, we discuss how negative posture can cause our abdomen to expand, and how this in turn creates toxicity in the body, causing cells to increase in size. Weight loss isn’t only about calories in vs. energy expenditure, there is so much more to understand in order to keep your systems flowing and healthy. We share a simple exercise to help you engage the diaphragm, a muscle largely responsible for managing a healthy size and shape, as well as ways to support proper alignment for healthy digestion and elimination.

On March 12, 2023, I weighed 221. 8 pounds. I watched this video and did diaphragm breathing techniques from this video starting March 13, 2023. Sometimes I did the exercises at the park and also an hour before bed. I am writing this response on March 17, 2023. I just got on the scale a few minutes ago.....I now weigh 214.4 pounds!!! I burned 7.4 pounds in just 5 days!!! I didn't change my eating habits which included mostly cheeseburgers, fries, soda, hotdogs nachos, cookies and honeybuns on a weekly basis. I am amazed at the results!!! I am going to continue to do the breathing exercises but without the junk food. I am looking forward to even more amazing results. This has motivated me to become an athletic therapist and block therapy coach. Can anyone give me any information on the two subjects and how to start?

If someone can't lay on their stomach can they practice breathing that way lying on their side or sitting?

I’m initially intrigued by your video, but it gives me great pause and doubt about your method (which I really want to like!) when the instruction to breathe “correctly” is functionally limited by not involving all the thoracic structures involved in an optimal, supple and dynamic inhale/exhale. The isolation of the method and training of “diaphragmatic breathing” seems incongruent with the rest of your training. I sincerely, respectfully recommend that the mechanism of breathing include movement in all the thoracic structures (perhaps looking at MDH Breathing Coordination/Carl Stough) to offer a more whole and dynamic approach…specifically to the breathing training.

so is sleeping on ur stomach a good idea? any tips on that?

We would recommend sleeping on your back - however there are variations where you can sleep on your side and even your front. As long as you are getting a good sleep and you don't feel that your sleeping position is negatively affecting your alignment, you can choose your position.
