      Exactly. I was struggling to think of a solution since using a single chair on each side doesn't support the full length of the arm.. two chairs are what I need!

    Just want to remind you all to be careful with this one. I have become quite comfortable in this position, but today before leaving the gym I did one without focusing as I was in a hurry. As a result I fell forward and hit my lower back off of the hop up I was using. If I had fallen slightly more to one side I would have without a doubt broken my spine. The pain went away quite quickly and it's currently a few hours later. I don't understand why the pain has been so little but I am about to sleep and I can feel a little pain that comes and goes. I hope it hasn't damaged the muscle, but either way I just want to remind you never to get too confident and be careful doing all of these exercises. Also thank you for posting this. It has been one of the greatest videos I've come across for getting me close to the planche.

    100% agreed! most people who can do this exercise have strong planche, also, an even more underrated exercise it's the opposite when u turn around like a victiorian, to help front lever, if you could also do a video on this

    I do this one on dip bars actually. Put some chalk on one bar and vertically lean over both. Then I go to a handstand and descent slowly

      @joepeglegmorgan3015 Look up some video that focus on ‘straight arm strength’. I can’t do planche but my straight arm strength increased a lot after some months. When I started I sometimes thought my arms would snap at the elbow haha.

    How do you recommend to progress this?
    Like hold the doable progression for as long as possible then have sets? Or do it dynamically?

    • @jrsw404
      @jrsw404 Před rokem +1

      No you cant achieve the full planche just by mastering this exercices,but you definitly going to build a really strong core ,shoulder and upper back ,and this exercices help you to understand the position of the full planche and feel all the muscle engaged ,for sur if you mastered it ,you will get the full much easier ,but you still need to do a lot of planche lean ,planche lean push ,hspu etc
