They’ve done one of those with good movies, but we definitely need more!

I particularly enjoyed the "I didn't know who anyone was beside Harley Quinn" review. How does that person watch _any_ movie that isn't a sequel? "The Godfather? It sucked because I didn't know who any of the characters were. Also, where was Harley Quinn?" ;)
That guy is probably why Disney keeps just remaking their old movies
My Oldman is a comic book guy, and even he barely recognised any of these characters.
The difference being, all these characters have appeared in other forms of media before, yet are still incognito.
There are some people who Just i dunno.
Count me among the people who don’t need to know the entire history of a character before they are in the story of the movie. If the character is written and acted well i can understand their character with just a little bit of backstory at most

The Suicide Squad 2021 was actually really good. I don't get why it gets hate.
It's a different perspective in superhero films and supervillains than what people are used to. The abrupt and violent deaths, the non-chronological storytelling and characters might have shocked people who are used to Marvel and DC's fairly bland style of filmmaking
Because it's dog shit wasnt good at all but then again that's my opinion.
I haven't seen anyone being mad about it. Maybe I just don't hang out on the more unhinged parts of the internet.
People just think it’s cool and different to hate on the film and tell those who like it they are wrong.
Sure, people will dislike the film, but those saying the 2016 is better than the new one and the new one has no redeeming qualities is just flat out nonsense

I absolutely LOVED The Suicide Squad, and it’s been strange to see how many times the things that people dislike are my favorite things about it (like the excessive violence and the bit with Harley Quinn).

The suicide squad was a group project, one where they worked together. James Gunn talked about how he had a few other people to bounce ideas off and they were in agreement for what the film would be before production started.
So pretty much the opposite of the first film which clearly had no idea what it wanted to be due to interference from Warner Bros and by the sounds of it, it wasn’t a very collaborate process to make it the best it could be
I watched this video when it first came out and I’ve been binging all these videos again and I’ve been looking forward to seeing Mason guess the wildcard, but I couldn’t remember which one it was in. A pleasant surprise
Next one should be guess the clickbait website from the headline just so you can both equally anger eachother at the same time
I had a hard time understanding that the guy didn't actually write "[and then three more long paragraphs]" himself for his review *but* I will now start doing this anytime I feel the need to rant about something but am too lazy to actually do so.

Best Part of High School Musical 2 was when Corn on the Coblin took the Suicide Squad to watch Joker, I don’t care what these reviewers say.

I loved the suicide squad 2021, it wasn’t a perfect movie, but it felt like real comic booky fun. Very enjoyable.
