fun fact about the notch hat, it was revealed by one of TF2s lead programmers in a tournament back in 2014 that the hat features a hidden stat that makes him take 25% more damage, and they just NEVER told him about it

I met the owner of the unusual Spine Chilling Skull in a match a few days ago, he's chill and it's awesome to see he's still playing the game to this day
The hilarious thing about this is I just searched it up before watching this video.
I did played on a server with someone who had notches hat but it was on trade server so it could have bine plugin or something
I actually own his original skull, he gift wrapped it for me after I met him a while back. Great dude, glad he's still playing tf2!

I quite literally just stumbled across the person with the community unusual golden frying pan in game, not even a week ago. I was playing with one of my friends and saw a golden pan on the ground, and obviously i had to pick it up because its a golden pan, but when i held it out i noticed it had the sparkle on it, but i hadn't seen a pan in a while and thought it was just a sparkle that came with all golden pans. quite crazy i didnt even realize that it was such a special pan

Burpman also helped with the glitch that allowed for extended item names (you just swapped the code for description tags and name tags locally, that was the entire exploit) and was rewarded with a Towering Pillar of Summer Shades with Sunbeams.
They don't give unusual hats anymore :( just a big finder hat
I actually bumped into the guy who owns the strange unusual summer hat with nebula yesterday for the first time. I asked him how he got it and all he replied was "rapping"

I was one of the players on the Nom³ server during the time Robin Walker visited! To my memory it wasn't even a special occasion, the Nom³ community and our server were just pretty up there in popularity at the time and he popped in unannounced for a visit! It was a ton of fun, wild to see that match's footage still used to this day.
The gold pan being named "server plugin" is in such humorous good taste of the owner, lmao.

That's because the flying bits effect is the same effect used for when you're on fire. It's called "flying bits" but the actual particle it uses is "burningplayer_red".
Actually the Valve Rocket Launcher only has a smaller flame, basically the burning flames effect on the gun.

The video Casperr was showing was an older video where Robin just gave himself every status effect, including burning, ubered, crits etc., with his valve cheats. So the burning didn't come from the gun, but rather from the cheats

there is absolutely NO way the ONE PIECE could be real in any shape, way or form. it is simply not able to do so. the ONE PIECE, as the name suggests, only has one piece. of what? nobody knows. but i have come to the scooby doo investigator team (trademark) and have come to the conclusion that while no, the one piece is not real, maybe the real one piece was the friends we made along the way.

I could show you my self made taunt cap. It puts the effect on all my taunts. Even the taunts that came after the effect was out of circulation! (Thus making them illegal unusual taunts)

I have actually met the person with the Unusual Spine-Chilling Skull a long time ago back when I was an admin on the Advanced Weaponiser 2 server.

I am in the circle of EGL and we have gotten the honor of being able to be relative friends with the Community Sparkle Gold Pan owner. They are a very cool person
I'm friends with the guy with the unusual golden pan, I met him around 2015-2016 when he was about 10 years old and was LEM in CSGO, and he was talking about how he had some disease or condition because at the time he had a picture of himself hooked up to IV's as his profile picture, I remember at the time he got to meet his fav cs player at the time, get_right, and it was all over reddit ... a few years go by I check his profile and I see the pan.

I saw the bills beret and tought nothing of it like 2 years ago, i was trying to find a black beret when i came across this hat. I rememberd that you couldt unbox the hat so there were no way for it to be unusual i tought it was a glith or something but i ignored it and forgot about it
I actually saw the person with the Sunbeams Ebeneezer in a game once.
They told me that the unusual doesnt make them better at the game.
For flying bits, having an unusual effect that can be applied to the players body is a neat idea. But i think it would be neater if you could have such effects, but only applied during something like an Uber, Hype, MMMPH!, Or similar things. Have extra flair to your super move type thing. At least that's my thought. I'm not knowledgeable about how this'd affect the community and game and such though as i only started playing 2 weeks ago.

My best friend passed away from cancer this year. His favorite game was is tf2. He asked Valve if he could come and interview them(and post the video) they agreed but then Covid happened. He then asked for an australium loose cannon. They agreed at first, but then took it back and gave his account an unusual Loose canon instead

an unusual effect that only appeared with a special combination of items being equipped would be cool.
So something along the lines of
Unusual hat with burning flames equipped
weapon with a flame effect equipped
Player uses an usual fire taunt like Screaming Tiger,
when the taunt it used, it ignites the player and you get the all over body unusual burning flames effect, like what Robin Walker looked like
Stuff like this would be neat.
The player would have to re-light themselves after each round. This way they can in essence turn it off if desired. Unequipping the hat should also turn it off.

The valve rocket launcher is a unique exception, most valve weapons are just normal weapons with a special quality, and not all of them use the flying bits effect either, it can use pretty much any particle effect, they just picked that one cause it looked cool. The flying bits effect is normally used for gibs if you explode a player who is on fire while having cl_burninggibs enabled, hence the name of the effect.

Can you link to any example of a Valve weapon with no effect or one with a different effect?
@@Casperr Unfortunately since Robin Walker's backpack is privated now it's no longer possible to view his valve weapons (unless someone has an archive), however I remember viewing his backpack a long time ago, and the main examples I remember were that he had at least two valve eyelanders, one with the Flying Bits effect as shown in that video, and one with an effect named "Particle 1".
normal unusual warskins already have the unusual prefix if they're strange right? i assume they reused some of that code to make the pan's name purple as well
pretty sure that pan was made before warpaints, so it was probably the other way around, reused the code for the pan for warpaints
10:59 as funny as the effect is, no. It will cause people to mistake the person for being on fire, and would really be excessively flashy compared to other unusuals since non taunt ones tend to not cover the body.

Been playing for 12 years, unboxed a fair few crates. Never got an unusual. The only thing even close i ever got was an unusual effect for the Director's Vision taunt. and an aussie medigun which i lost to a hacker.

I feel like the final boss valve weapon arsenal should be an applicable ability if theres a swarm of BOTS plaging servers. You can have valve employees come play a game and drive the bots off enough to where he kills then so often they can't do their job while people vote kick.
To Robin Walker's full-body effect, it should just stay as a stat only Robin walker can have, imo.
