Magnus Plejdrup: Bund [premiere at the Aarhus Chamber Music Festival 2020]

'Bund' was commissioned by Aarhus Chamber Music Festival to be premiered at their 2020-edition of the festival. It is written for trumpet, piano and double bass.
(...) the term 'bund' (=bottom) comes from Danish youth culture, where the act of 'bund-ing' means emptying an item of alcohol in one take. This piece tells the story of a night out through different fragments of memory, in a random order, but is ultimately dealing with the tough realization that you'll eventually reach the bottom if you keep drinking towards it.
