Omg! This perfect. We just had a women walk in front of my car in a parking lot, forcing us to stop. As we turn to leave, I watch her from the passenger mirror having a hunch, sure enough, she actually pushed the shopping cart into the back end of my car! When we confronted her about it, like a switch, she put on a face of “who me”?
    Seriously!
We called her out for hitting my car and how rude she was. Nothing. Completely played it off like she did nothing!
Buying this today!! Thank you so much.

Great setup and good pointers. To remove the confusion of which sd-card to remove, I'll just keep the original setup. So front/rear in one sd-card and for the sides in another sd-card.

Great breakdown of your setup. What I would suggest for wiring is to just run some wire to the cars headliner in the various camera locations (like you currently have) but then crimp/solder in your own connectors (something widely available). This would allow you to quickly make an adapter out of the wire the camera provides, you won't be tied to their proprietary plug and having to re-run cable every time.

I remember about 15 years ago, or so, a company trying to sell a product called the DIVA. It was a recording unit that could accept multiple camera inputs and you could tailor how you wanted to record. I think it was mostly marketed to track day enthusiasts who would want to record track footage. I remember being very excited about it but then never saw anything about it. It looks like what many trucking companies use for multiple camera setups today. It's about time the consumer market got some more comprehensive systems besides simple 2 channel and suction cup multi channel dash units.

I have the DR750 LTE - 2 CH and the DR900S-2 CH. Currently, I have two front facing, (the main cams) and two rear facing, (the smaller cams.) I have been thinking about doing exactly what you have done here, and now that I am motivated, I'll check to see that I have enough replacement 3M adhesive pads and get to work on this next week. Thanks for giving me the push to do it.

Just love all of your videos (radars / dashcams). Here's a good question. I can be parked for several days (maybe weeks) in a condo garage. Is it possible to connect the batteries to an electrical outlet (which is next to my car) in order to maintain the integrity of the recordings in parking mode... as I would plug in a blocker heater for example? By doing so, my dashcams will always be on guard even if I didn't start my car for weeks.

Hey thanks for putting this video together! I was just wondering if you could talk a little about the data side of this.
When you just pop in to view your cameras if they are connected to a wifi hotspot - theoretically that’s all the data it should use is right then right?
I’d like to add six cameras but no one sells a data plan with enough data to cover that if I were say to stream them to my tv and watch them.
Do these cameras use the data continually or just when you actually get into the app to look at them?
Thanks for putting together a great video - this is one of the best that I’ve seen as far as content quality and amount of it hah.

Your channel and videos really did help me with a ton of information and helped me decide on a dashcam. Don't have Blackvue in India (where I am based) but wondered how you would have handled such a situation.
    I got a 129.
Apart from all the good things and short comings covered in your channel, I felt a couple of things were missing and which were important for me.
I wanted to have a 4 side coverage like you have shown so well here. Since there aren't any 4 camera dashcams around yet, I decided to go for 2 dashcams with a dual (front & rear) cameras like you did here. So in all 4 different views from 2 different dashcams (front & rear twice). Here is where I ran into a couple of issues that were important for me.
1.I cannot connect 2 different Viofo Dashcams to my Viofo App on my mobile app simultaneously. This is the case even if both were Viofo Dashcams. I will have to decide which of the two I want to connect my mobile to. Alternatively, I will have to buy myself another mobile phone connection and then have both the Dashcam recordings in two separate mobiles.
    2. The second is that I cannot connect a single A 129 to two different mobiles simultaneously. Say if I were to loose my mobile, my 2nd mobile would have all the recordings (even though the loss of my mobile would be bad, my loss of the recordings may just save the day).
    Imaginary/ Hypothetical ? Not really.
I actually have this on a GPS tracker that I use. 2 different devices (like 2 different dashcams). Their mobile App can store (and therefore track) multiple devices to a single app. Additionally, I have this on 2 different mobiles (not sure if it can be added on more…did not need it on more). Not that I am in any way connected to it nor am I being sponsored to say so, but OneLap Go is one such (there could be more)….So I am speaking from the experience of using multiple trackers on a single mobile app and the use of tracking on different set of mobiles simultaneously.
My plan is to travel a lot across different regions that speak different languages and under different governments…hence…. So now I have to decide how I wish to go about the 2nd Dashcam to ensure 4 side coverage - any dashcam other than a Viofo or to live with 2 mobiles each capturing one set of dashcams.

I am currently running the DR750x-2CH in my 1997 Restored Jeep Wrangler. I like your setup, especially with the external battery support. I was also thinking about getting 360 Degree support. Are you saying that even the DR900X doesn't allow you to see License plates of vehicles that might do hit and runs? And, does cloud capability allow you to get alerts on your phone, even when you are not near your car? Is that a pay subscription and what is the cost? This would be good for added security. Nice video and informative. Thank you.

Any news 1year later about a 360 system? I was thinking of maybe doing some D.I.Y with maybe a raspberry pi or a extra phone to get 2 extra channels (sides). Think i put 2 cameras under side mirrors close to the carbody or mayby 3d-print a new mount for the turn indicators to hold both camera and indicators to get pictures if someone slams their own car door into my car or so.
I have an old insta 360 one x. If I could put one lense on each side I would cover all that a front+back dashcam would miss. Lot of fun stuff to think about but a seperat 2channel side dvr I can buy would fit me best.

Thanks for this great info. Slightly off topic. You have mentioned in another video (adding WiFi for dashcam Cloud connection) and, showing the setup again here, that you run both the Blackvue B-124 and Cellink Neo and an extender and I am wondering if we can get more details on that setup.
I run a Thinkware U1000 to a Cellink Neo but want to add the SyncUp drive, so, I need a USB port. I am ordering the Blackvue B-124x for this but wondering if I can connect both the Cellink Neo and Blackvue B-124x main units together like a Main+Extender. Also, the OBDII to USB you linked in the previous video I mentioned is not on Amazon, so, do you have any other recommendations (others I have researched seam to disconnect after a short period). Thanks

You can’t do that, but you can mix and match main batteries and extenders. I have the Cellink Neo expansion plugged into the B124, for example.
As for OBDII adapters, I’m not aware of any others, sorry.

currently my dad runs a Rexing V1P+ duel dash cam setup for a 1995 Nissan Quest Minivan. lets just say that I wanted to get him a late birthday present along with a duel cigarette lighter USB converter. suffice to say it takes a bit to get it going but it does work, it does 1080p up front and 720p in the rear. So far we've done a few tests in the park and so far it's worked for a trip down to Monterrey (I had to advise him on how to get it to record plus ordering a USB card reader just to get the footage off the card and onto the computer to be edited.)
Now for my setup I'm going to be running 4 Rexing V1P+ Duel Dash cam's for the front, rear and the use the rear cam's as left and right in a 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 (converted to electric). I already have the Rexing connect app already installed on my phone.

I've been wondering if there was a less complicated way to record video while the car is parked besides running 2 blackvue 2ch setups. I really need something that can protect my car for over 12 hrs per day in high resolution while parked more than anything else. It's what I'm not around to see with my own eyes that concerns me.

11:20 since you asked, i currently use a single cell phone held by a phone holder suctioned to my sunroof. I can rotate it 360 degrees easily and transfer the video files very easily. This was a cheap alternative method to a dedicated dashcam system which is exorbitantly priced. My cell phone cost only $50. I have multiple smart phones and multiple phone holders for simultaneous multiple angles. The drawback is that i cant control the recording function of all of them while driving, so I only use the one up front that I can manually rotate and operate from the driver's seat. It's fun.

How is your camera setup paired with those 3 back up batteries? Do you have those batteries connected as "one big battery"....? If they’re right next to your drivers or passenger side window, that’ll likely be too close to be picked up.
