- Today I decided to try out Dermmatch & Toppik Hair Fibers for my thinning & transplanted hair 4 months after FUE. The result is quite interesting, although I screwed up with Hair Fibers!
I've tried Dermmatch at 1 month after my FUE, but it didn't look good at all, so today is a second try (some footage included!).

Yes, but you need to wait for few months until the skin will heal

You don't have to comb or brush your hair after you add Toppik, you just have to gently tap on your hair so it will look natural.
You have to comb before you add Toppik, I use it nearly 2 years now

@@jahanzaibkhan682 Very different. Dermmatch good for painting scalp if you have lots of hair, dermmatch better if you have bigger bald spot to make denser appearance. Dermmatch waterproof, topik not.
You decide what you need. I use both depending on situation.
Nice video 👍🏻 do you think Fermat has would work from 2 week period with very short hair? Worried about e shedding period as I want to keep discreet
If you watch video closely you can see I tried dermmatch 4 weeks after my fue and it didn't look that nice. My suggestion - dont hide it. It's much better to talk about it. It can be a conversation starter and people would respect that you did take care of the problem.

I think it looks good. Especially if you wait till you are fully grown... I think topik are very good product for a hair transplant supplement as it is impossible to achieve full density. You just need to find one that. Watch you hair color better

Sir, thank you. your video is really helpfull. Only one quick question does applying hair concealer will disturb the growth of the hair transplant itself?. I'm now 2,5 months post op, and bit depserate about the slow progress and my head looks balder than before. Can i use such a concealer on 2,5 months post op?
Hey man, you can use such concealers now no problem. As you see my hair transplant is perfect now and I was using them

I don't use after HT as its not safe.
I suggest to wait at least 6-8 months if not 12

At least on video it look good, three is small diffence between native hairs, but when you trim sides and back IT will do a stunning job

As long as you apply them my head looks thick, obviously after washing out in the evening we're back to square 1.
Personally I'm not using those on a daily basis, but rather for a special occasion. Idk yet, we will see how my transplant will turn out :)

It doesn’t look bad, it just looked dry compared to your natural hair. If you put some hairspray with shine or something it would look better I think.
Indeed. It was really the first proper time trying dermmatch. Ever since I I better at this (but also got another transplant) so no need for it anymore.
@@MrRolandas I have my hair transplant next Tuesday, 3,000 graphs. I am looking for something to conceal the redness after everything heals up within 3-4 weeks. I already bought the black color dermamatch a couple years ago but I didn’t let my hair grow long enough to use, I ended up having SMP done.
Quick question, how can you tell if you have new hairs growing? I ask because I was told to let my hair grow a week before the transplant and I see hairs growing, thin hairs and see hairs that look broken or starting to sprout. Can’t tell if those are new hairs or old dead/dying hairs.

@@MrRolandas I am only asking because I am allowing my hair to grow before ht surgery as I always shave my head due to having smp. Just curious to know what does new hair growth look like since I have been taking oral minoxidil since April and Dutasteride since February. I guess I can ask the hair transplant surgeon next week if he can tell if there’s any new growth.
It's your hair so it will look exactly the same as in any other area lol
The only way to find out is to compare pictures before you started the treatment and now.
How is it that it's waterproof, but at the same time it comes off on your pillow?
Dermmatch is like a paint. If you would rub it on the pillow it can leave some stains, especially if applied big amount.
Although I would say biggest pain-in-the-bum would be Hair Fibers as these will just fall off your head straight on your pillow.
@@MrRolandas thanks for the reply! I just decided to do something about my hair loss so I started using Topikk (as well as minoxidile and a hair strengthing shampoo) and I found it works well for every day use. So far the shampoo seems to have stopped or minimized hair loss. Hoping minoxidile can get me some of my hair back and Topikk can do the rest. 🤞
I dont want to disappoint you man, but no shampoo in the world would ever stop your hair loss. The only thing that can do it is finasteride. Minoxidil can keep your hair for a little while but eventually hormones will take over. Fibers are good at camouflaging but it dieznt stop hair loss unfortunately.
Do you think hair fibers or dermatch is better?
They are very different. Dermmatch is colouring scalp to give less contrast in between scalp and hair. Hair fibres will give more thickness.

you can use a hair fixing spray, a strong one, no traces will be on the pillow according to my experience
I think ur hair looks good as 4 months of hair transplant , I noticed dermmatch is close to natural more than other product and not to be Scattered as other one as i saw
100% agreed. Dermmatch has its advantages and of course disadvantages, but I really like it!

I just had a thinning head of hair no transplant but looks the same. In a well lit room looks like an english judges powdered dusty wig and it goes green in the sun. In a dark room it looks fine. It will increase hair loss btw.
Yeah, why fibers look green? 🤣 I dont think it will increase hair loss as hair loss is hormonal thing, but I get where you're coming from!

@@Snipercontest Hair loss in vast majority of men is developed by hair follicles sensitivity to hormone DHT. Some individuals have more sensitive follicles than others, thus suffering different degree of baldness. Some people will lose only temples and some people will lose everything up top.
Medications like Finasteride help to combat that as it reduces DHT levels in your body.
As you can see, everything works internally. You can put whatever you want on your hair, it won't increase your male pattern baldness (unless of course your hair loss has different causes, which still is highly unlikely).
The only bad thing that can happen if you start putting some nasty things on your hair is it will smell and change how it looks, but won't increase hair loss.

Did you meet your girlfriend when you had your hair loss? What does she think about it and your transplant?
I met her when I had almost similar pattern, but more hair overall. I was covering it well with a massive comb over, but obviously I didn't had hairline. I think what's attractive besides hairline is confidence. I was never thinking too much about my hair loss when dating and would never assume that if someone is not into me, my hair was a problem. Not everyone will like you and that's how it should be.
She was confident in me when I had my HT as I spend hundreds of hours on research. I was researching for doctors and overall information of hair loss and HT while travelling to work, in between brakes, on the way home and the rest of the evening.That was my life for a year NON-STOP.
In the end of the day hair is not what's important in life. Who you are as a person what matters as it will lead to decisions you will make along the way. Looks are only good in the short term.
Be careful what kind of women you are attracting to your life!

@@tomcastillo7550 You don't have to "open up". You can see it. People are not stupid. It's again all about your confidence. Don't over think it and never think your hair is the reason.
Maybe I can only say that I am always joking about my hair loss "look this stupid with blow away my 3 strands"... It's kind of psychology. Show it worse than it is and people will disagree with you and they will think it's actually not that bad :D But in any way, people don't care about your hair as much as you do.

Yeah I agree toppik colors look a bir different when putting on hand, but surprisingly works well when it's on the head!
You have to use dark brown for Toppik.
You said you would be disappointed that your end result might not be as thick if you get used to using hair fibers. But I bet you are happy that your actual end result is far better than this

No, hair loss occurs deep under the skin. No hair products can do anything to create hair loss

I'm talking about male pattern baldness that's caused by androgens, that are under the roots of hair follicles about 4-6mm deep.
Male pattern baldness, aka, androgenetic alopecia is hair loss prevention in about 95% of men. Hair loss occurs through miniaturiaation process when DHT is attaching to AR and through hair growth cycles, it grows less and less.
So yeah, not related to anything you put on your scalp at all.
If you have some scalp conditions this is completely different thing. But hey, you're probably informed more than me, so best of luck stopping your hair loss by stopping products you used.

Toppik - basic hair fibers. I bought them from my local shop. You can easily buy them online on Amazon as well.

DO NOT WET THE BRUSH WHEN APPLYING
No man, the brush has to be a bit wet, otherwise it won't take dermmatch from container.
@@MrRolandas yes it will, rub it in a circle. You don't need much, and it will stick to your hair more than your scalp when dry
@@mr.abbott212 well, I don't have much hair in there to stick to, so I prefer it stick to the scalp haha. Besides according to Dermmatch brand you have to wet the brush quite a bit. In their demo video the guy had very wet head after applying.

It doesn't look weird, it might looks weird to you because it's your own hair and you know all about it, for regular people they won't notice anything
