Pros and Cons To Using DermMatch

  • In this video, I go over a couple of pros and cons to using DermMatch. If you're reading this, and you are a diffuse thinner, the best option is using a hair fiber like Toppik or Caboki. DermMatch, unfortunately, does not improve the existing hair follicles. It only tints the scalp, so you can comb it over without seeing scalp. Perfect for someone who's had a hair transplant and is looking for a boost, or someone who has just started losing their hair, and still have a decent amount of hair left.

    Thanks a lot bro! I have been using caboki but the product has been going downhill for the past 2-3 years. I will give this product a shot and see how it goes. Thanks again 👍🏼

    I’ve used fibers and dermmatch. I prefer dermmatch. I’ve been using it for years but what I found that works best is to use it dry instead of with water. I feel like I can control the look of it better when I use it dry. For anyone who is going to try dermmatch, DO IT BEFORE YOU PUT ON THE CLOTHES YOU’RE GOING OUT IN!!!!! It WILL get on your clothes when you apply. It doesn’t matter how careful you are. If you use it wet it slops around easily and if you use it dry it’s like dust getting on you. Put a towel or an old button up t shirt on while you’re applying it. I can’t be more serious about this.

      That's good to know. I've used toppik off and on w success about 30% of the time. Dermatch looked straightforward. 👍🏼

    This is a good product, and have served me well over the years. Nobody knew my bald spot was being camouflaged by it. However, I noticed that I was actually starting bald more rapidly after using the product, to the point where I can no longer use it

    • @HairTransplantNetwork
      @HairTransplantNetwork  Před rokem +12

      It’s not the product making you bald, it’s just the progression of hair loss. You need to be on medication to stop the balding.

    Hello and thanks for thr information. I'm curious. You mentioned you've had a hair transplant but that you still use either dermatch or toppik. Does that mean that hair transplants aren't sufficient enough generally to work on their own? Thanks for your reply in advance.

      Dermmatch is basically like a tint for your scalp. It’s like just for men, except instead of tinting your hair, your tinting the scalp.

  • @ClassicModernGentleman
    @ClassicModernGentleman Před 3 lety +4

    Thanks for the video. I have to use fibres as well to get a half decent coverage. I still have gaps that I can’t cover or look natural using derrnatch alone.
    Do you have issues with it making your bathroom a mess. Mine is disgusting after a weeks use.

    • @HairTransplantNetwork
      @HairTransplantNetwork  Před 3 lety +2

      In my experience, fibers are a lot messier. They get everywhere, I end up with a bathroom that looks moldy. I have found that using a few shakes of fibers after using dermmatch covers up any slight gaps. It's really just to add the cherry on top.

  • @JuanCarlosLTO
    @JuanCarlosLTO Před 4 lety +4

    I love dermmatch for the hairline but another drawback is the fact that it transfers to anything that it touches. So if I’m planning to wear a white t-shirt I put it on first and then apply dermmatch.
